"Al Otro Lado Del Espejo" Carolina Agliati nos sitúa “Al Otro Lado Del Espejo”, su primera exhibición individual donde nos invita a mirar las formas y sus reflejos en el espacio. Nos miramos en su espejo y somos una construcción nueva. Inevitablemente nos remite a su formación como arquitecta, a sus estudios visuales vinculados a la forma moderna y a su voluntad espiritual y artística por la precisión y la economía de medios. Agliati nos muestra en silencio una obra que se nutre de la abstracción geométrica y que nos señala el camino a la síntesis de los elementos que componen sus trabajos con la matemática y el rigor universal que solo se encuentra en el arte y en la música. Y muy de vez en cuando, en la arquitectura. Agliati teje planos tectónicos, bordados numéricos, los cuales se iniciaron hace ya un tiempo con el papel y ahora se nos presentan con los elementos propios de la escultura y de la reproducción en serie: el acero esmerilado y brillante, el color vivo del cobre y el destello ámbar y luminoso del bronce.
Allí donde el minimalismo hace un corto circuito con el espectador, por su simple mutismo, su trabajo se muestra elocuente en formas y posibilidades mentales, en planos de gran complejidad geométrica que no se agotan en una forma simple: acá hay cambios de escala, hay escultura suprematista (si Malevitch) y por cierto bastante mas arquitectura que en muchos de los edificios que se levantan en nuestras ciudades. Lo notable de esta exhibición es un atributo propio de la forma moderna y también de la abstracción. No hay necesidad de explicar nada mas ya que la forma es acá lo suficientemente intensa para que el sujeto, el espectador, pueda deleitarse frente a su obra con el único recurso que nos entrega el objeto de contemplación: la intelección visual.

“On The Other Side Of The Mirror” Carolina Agliati places us “On the Other Side of the Mirror”, her first individual exhibition where she invites us to look at the shapes and the reflections in space. We look in her mirror and we become a new construction. Inevitably it refers us to her extraordinary training as an architect, to her visual studies linked to the modern form and to her spiritual and artistic will , for precision and economy of means. Agliati silently shows us a work that draws on geometric abstraction and that points us the way to the synthesis of the elements that make up her work with mathematics and universal rigor that is only found in art and music. And very occasionally, in architecture. Agliati weaves tectonic planes, numerical embroidery, which began some time ago with paper and now she presents them with the elements of sculpture and mass reproduction: frosted and bright steel, the bright colour of copper and the amber and bright flash of bronze.
There, where minimalism makes a short circuit with the viewer, because of its simple silence, her work is eloquent in forms and mental possibilities, in planes of great geometric complexity that does not finish in a simple way: there are changes of scale, there are suprematist sculpture (yes, Malevitch) and by the way much more architecture than in many of the buildings that stand in our cities. The remarkable thing about this exhibition is an own attribute of the modern form and also of abstraction. There is no need to explain anything else, since the form is here intense enough so that the person, the viewer, can be delighted in front of her work with the only resource that gives us the object of contemplation: visual intellection.

WALDEMAR SOMMER “Construcciones geométricas en metal nos presenta Galería Artespacio. Se trata de la primera exposición individual de Carolina Agliati. Sin embargo, no lo parece. En sus 19 cuidadosos trabajos murales deja ver, pues, la madurez de una autora que sabe lo que quiere y que posee los medios adecuados para llevarlos a buen término. En ellos, la línea recta con sus cortes, entrecruces y salidas de margen, se convierte en soberana absoluta. Al mismo tiempo, los brillos variados del acero inoxidable, del bronce y del cobre, y la opacidad del fierro pintado negro, introducen un peculiar acercamiento al arte óptico. En efecto, de acuerdo a la posición del espectador respecto de cada obra, desde un mínimo de lejanía se logra engañar al ojo mediante un fugaz relampagueo luminoso. Este hasta puede materializarse en un color cálido en medio del negro o los grises acerados. También las propias sombras naturales proporcionadas por el recinto resultan capaces de introducir la sensación de movimiento sobre las superficies; para ello resulta, asimismo, necesario moverse frente a la realización
Con frecuencia, los productos mejor logrados se consiguen a través de aquellos que se limitan al formato de rectángulo cerrado. De las tres piezas que rompen con él, la que más se aparta del ángulo recto y que hace de las diagonales su personaje capital puede considerarse la más interesante. De un modo general, después de contemplar la actual exhibición, uno termina asombrándose de las potencias que todavía demuestra la abstracción geométrica en nuestro medio.”

WALDEMAR SOMMER “Artespacio Gallery exhibites geométric metal constructions. This is the first individual exhibition of Carolina Agliati. However, it does not seem so. In her 19 careful mural works, she reveals the maturity of an author who knows what she wants and who has the adequate means to bring them to a good term. In them, the straight line with its cuts, intersections and margin outlets, becomes absolute sovereign. At the same time, the varied brightness of stainless steel, bronze and copper, and the opacity of the black painted iron, introduce a peculiar approach to optical art. Indeed, according to the spectator position to each work, from a minimum of distance it is possible to deceive the eye by means of a fleeting luminous lightning. This can even materialize in a warm colour in the middle of black or steely gray. The natural shadows provided by the enclosure are also capable of introducing the sensation of movement on the surfaces; for this, it is also necessary to move in front of the respective work. Frequently, the best achieved products are achieved through those that are limited to the closed rectangle
format. Of the three pieces that break with it, the one that departs from the right angle and that makes the diagonals his capital character can be considered the most interesting. In a general way, after contemplating the current exhibition, one ends up being amazed at the powers that the geometric abstraction still demonstrates.”
