Dear Team, Our most precious gift is today, wouldn’t you agree? We must learn from yesterday in order not to repeat its mistakes and know that what we do with today is what matters most. This is true personally, professionally, and culturally. In order to fill our todays with actions that are in alignment with our values, let’s take some time for a midyear check-up with some questions to ask yourself. What are the lessons I’ve learned over the past six months? How am I feeling? I mean how am I really feeling? Are my relationships stronger? Have I taken care of myself so that I can help others? Do I need help? What are my successes? Where can I improve? Do I feel pulled to get more involved in the community? What about my business? What needs to happen for me to get back on track? To reach the next level? What’s holding me back? Glance back to learn, and forward to remind yourself of the path you are trying to walk. I would challenge all of us to not look to get “back to normal,” but to take the steps to venture into the extraordinary for ourselves and our loved ones. Who wants to be normal anyways? Not me. Speaking of glancing at the past, did you know on July 5, 2019 the S&P 500 stood at 2990. As I write this it is 3130. NAR’s Pending Home Sales Index reported on June 27, 2019 was 105.4. This year’s number reported on June 29, 2020 is 99.6. A measure of 100 is equal to the activity levels in 2001, widely considered a strong market. These indicators show that we have rebounded in “V” shaped fashion. This supports our notion that housing will lead us out of this recession. This also supports the FACT that we are resilient and as a country will prevail through hardships. I am so incredibly proud (and not surprised at all) of how you have handled yourselves with empathy, care, class, adaptability, and professionalism over the first half of 2020. You are amazing. Resilient for sure. As a company that exists to support you, we will continue to ensure you are prepared with the best available culture, support, core services, digital marketing and technology to elevate you and your clients. On that note, we have decided to no longer use balloons and helium for open house signs and to provide you with an even better option. We have worked with one of our vendors to create a new pinwheel sign that is not only eye-catching but also environmentally friendly. The pinwheel is actually built into the sign! We will be ordering BHHSFNR branded signs and distributing them to the offices in the next few weeks.

We have started using petscreening. com during our application process. This is a third-party vendor that can qualify the animal as a pet, service animal or emotional support animal. The applicant submits shot records, two pictures of the pet, and any other documentation for the animal. They can download an app on their phone that will store the animals information. We love seeing 5 out of 5 “Paws“ and verified records for the animal. This is an awesome way to take the liability off of FNPM.
