note from christy Dear Team, It’s hard to believe that the fourth quarter is already here, where has the year gone?! I hope this year has met or exceeded your expectations, but if it hasn’t then I’d like to offer some suggestions to help you plan for greater success in 2020. Because the real estate sales cycle averages 90 days, what you are doing today will reap benefits in December. It also means that it is critical to complete your business plan in October since the actions you take in November will pay dividends in January. Here are a few tips to ensure a strong start to the year:

• Complete your business plan. I’ve included a link to a simple but effective business plan template. It will take you approximately 3-4 hours to complete and will provide the roadmap for your success in 2020. Review it with your Broker as our team is really skilled at business planning. • Use the fourth quarter to clean up your database. While you are doing this, take the time to reach out to each of your contacts before year end with either a call, pop-by or personal note. • Review and revise your listing presentation and other marketing materials, if needed. • Review your listing inventory…do you need to refresh your comments, change up the photos, obtain a price reduction? Ask a peer or your broker to review your inventory and provide feedback. • Commit to completing at least 8 real estate reviews per month. They take very little time to create but add huge value to your clients, further cementing you as their go-to Forever Agent.

M.O.S. Meeting Minutes

a few highlights from the september M.O.S. meeting:

Ann King – Technology Recap We are excited to announce that Chris Stuart is now the SVP over Technology for HomeServices. Chris comes from a technology background at Oracle prior to entering the Real Estate industry so his knowledge and implementation experience will be a huge benefit. Over the next year, HomeServices will introduce a new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform. In this new Salesforce CRM, all of our technology will be accessible in one place which means only one dashboard to reach everywhere you need to go. The CRM has been developed from the ground up and will be launching in a few HomeServices companies this month. With each rollout over the next 12 months, the platform will continue to improve while the team implements changes based on feedback from users like you. The question you may be asking is “How do I prepare my CRM for the newer version?” The best thing you can do is to work on cleaning up your current database which will facilitate a smooth transition to the new system.

For example: • If you have 2 contacts in the same household, combine them into one if appropriate. • Classify your contacts into groups for future marketing. • Ensure all contact information is correct.

The Daily Ninja Nine Habits for Success in “Giving” not “Selling” The Business 1.

Write your daily gratitudes. Take some time each morning to write a list of the things you are grateful for today. Being in a space of gratitude creates great framework for the day.

2. Show up! Stop opening your email first. Resist the addiction. Instead, do one hour of productive work first. Work “on” your business in the morning. Work “in” your business in the afternoon. 3.

Write two personal notes. People love receiving personal handwritten notes. Make it a daily practice. Write notes about anything – thank you notes, just checking in notes, birthday cards... anything goes!

4.

Focus on your Hot List daily. Stay in touch with those folks who are about to buy or sell now or in the very near future. Think, “Who can I write a contract with this week?”

5.

Focus on your Warm List daily. Make sure to stay in touch with the people who are interested in buying or selling but aren’t ready to pull the trigger just yet.

6.

Focus on your customer service calls weekly. Transaction follow ups are very important in getting referrals and repeat business.

7. Schedule two real estate reviews this week. Schedule a time to sit down with two people in your sphere of influence to simply give them an update on the value of their home in today’s market.

Schedule 50 live contacts this week.

Update your database and look for property matches weekly. Check the MLS frequently and make sure you are on top of new listings that match your clients’ needs!
