The first highly Downey Mildew resistant Impatiens IMARA® has created a lot of excitement. This series means the comeback of the gardener’s favorite! After years of declining sales, now there is a series that will excite both growers and consumers with its long lasting garden performance. Sunflower SUNFINITY® is also setting a new standard. This continuous flowering variety will give all season a spectacular high number of flowers. To be used for landscaping, as back ground in larger gardens, in large patio pots, or even as cut flower, Sunfinity® is a real multi-purpose product. Disease tolerance or resistance is one of the focus areas for our breeders. The new Vinca CORA XDR is a great example of the progress we are making. Obsession® has a compact and branched habit ideal for high density production and shipping. It is early, uniform, multibranching and very floriferous. Its wide range of colors including ‘eyed’ varieties attract impulse sales, and its strong tolerance to powdery mildew helps ensure consumer satisfaction.

The unique Twister flower pattern, invented by Syngenta Flowers in vegetative Verbena, is now available in seeds. Like the rest of the Obsession® series, the Twister colors are very early flowering on naturally compact plants ideal for high density pack and pot production. They also offer long shelf-life at retail and strong tolerance to Powdery Mildew in the garden.

Atlantis® is an ideal spring pot plant. This variety easily produces compact, well-branched uniform flowering plants. Pot sizes from 11-14 cm can be used and optimum quality will be obtained with a cool culture. Atlantis® is less day lenght sensitive, which means it can easily be brought to flowering much earlier in the season than other varieties without stretching the plants.
