The Global Alliance for Banking on Values is an independent network of banks using finance to deliver sustainable development for unserved people, communities and the environment. A member and founder of the GABV is Triodos Bank. For the Global Alliance for Banking on Values we are looking for an
Intern (Minimum 6 months) The intern will be working from the Head Office of Triodos Bank located in Zeist, the Netherlands. Please be aware that we can only consider applicants that already have a valid work and residence permit for The Netherlands and that are registered as a student throughout the internship period.
Responsibilities During the internship the student will gain knowledge and experience of sustainable finance and banking subjects as well as media management skills. There are three key types of tasks:
Research; e.g. research projects on financial institutions and sustainable banking, research sustainable banks for potential membership; Organizational tasks; e.g.– providing administrative support for the annual GABV meeting, editing conference materials including for use on conference website, and other administrative tasks; Online media; e.g. maintain social media channels and updating GABV website.
Profile Relevant Bachelor or Master student with a clear interest in Sustainability / Sustainable Finance and Economics / Social Media; A strong command of written and spoken English is necessary as all research and communication tasks are conducted in English; Have strong analytical skills, work with Excel and be able to enter data from public reporting documents of financial institutions. Have the analytical skills to analyse data (performing average, weighted average, CAGR, interconnect worksheets), compile graphs and diagrams, interpret results and identify potential errors; Basic understanding of annual reports, balance sheets, income statements and knowledge of financial ratios especially as they relate to banking and finance; Interest in Banking and the Financial Industry as well as Sustainability; Experience in Google Analytics, Wordpress, YouTube, Facebook and other media channels; The internship is relevant for anyone interested in learning about sustainable finance and economics. In order to make this internship a success it is important that the intern likes to perform research and do organizational work; Able to work independently although you will work closely within a small secretariat.
