Frøya
A total number of 207 lighthouses are known along the coasts of Norway. They stood hundreds of years in Atlantic wind, were guiding numerous seafarers safe to home and have witnessed the golden age of Norwegian fishery history. As advanced navigation techniques updated, Radio signals have taken over the role of a light beam signal. A variety of lighthouse stations have been sold or rented to private persons, and some are left to nature. Due to the unique history and a study of small gardens with more remote sites have been raised recent years. A lighthouse garden project in Norway was started in 2002. The movement of a plant in response to the position and direction of the light is called "Heliotropism". I want to introduce heliotropic plants track the motion of the artificial light thus optimizing the form of Light Garden. The light reliance plants shall orientate and bent itself in different standards according to the light movement and distance from the lighthouse. In hance to create a changeable form of garden and maybe new micro ecology system.
01 The History of Norwegian Lighthouse The Norwegian coastline is split up by numerous fjords and along long stretches of navigable waters. To cover the huge challenges of keeping a system of light signals running along the Norwegian coast, often selected as the best place for erecting a lighthouse. The weather conditions along the Norwegian coast are known to be very rough, and even on days without strong winds, tides and swells together may be so strong that access to many lighthouses, even with modern boats, is difficult or even impossible. A total number of 207 lighthouses are known along the coasts of Norway. The period of the manned and actively run lighthouses has in most countries now largely come to an end. Radio signals and GPS systems have taken over as navigation techniquesdevices needing minimal maintenance.
Nesje Fyr in Frøya - A brief fate of Lighthouse On the north end of Frøya, Nesje was a small lighthouse, which was set up in 1894, it was changed and reinforced in 1930, 1934, 1976 and 1999. It was electrified in 1976. In September 2005, the torch was torn and replace with a new one.

02 Heliotropism
Heliotropism, a form of tropism, is the diurnal motion or seasonal motion of plant parts (flowers or leaves) in response to the direction of the light.Ancient Greeks named one of those plants after that property Heliotropium, meaning sun turn.
02 Plants under continuous light
If the lighthouse beam makes 4 full revolutions per minute. Then frequence light from the lighthouse could be continuous light for plants during long darkness winter time. Research Reamrks: Continuous light (CL )does not exist in nature. CL induces injury in some species. Increasing plant productivity by using CL. CL is an essential tool for understanding the plant circadian clock. CL provides a framework for circadian clock and photosynthesis research.
02 Different Species react artificial light
Vivendel Have light requirements ranging from full sun to part shade. This implies vivendel will grow well in any area of the garden except full shade. Vivendel is an ancient medicinal plant , as a sore and as a diuretic and laxative agent. But everything on the species is poisonous. Can be 5-6 meters tall and slings to the right of the trees.
Kristtorn
Kristtorn enjoys shadow, but flowering and berry only happens when the light is released. The tree is resistant to saltiness and is often found in shoreline. The bushes provide wintertime with its green spikes leaves protecting birds of prey to birds of prey. Some butterfly larvae live in particular on the trees. Was known as a magical plant and was used by European Druidsare. Nowadays is popular as Christmas decoration.
Engkvein The shadow tolerance is good. High aesthetic quality. Soil with good water accessis is prefered. One of the most common grass species. Engkvein Straw is well suited for the cultivation of woodcurrant berries, the value of the benefits is primarily based on the value of livestock for livestock.
Polypodium Vulgare Prefers medium to light shade. Thrives on fresh and moist rocky soil, also the coast and mountain slopes. It finds nourition among stone blocks, hills and coastal bed. Sheltered areas where there is some protection from the wind is also prefered. In spring, the new leaf is formed, but the foliage is evergreen. Grows in absolutely the whole country except parts of inner Nordland. It also prefers sheltered areas where there is some protection from the wind.
Allium ursinum
bear's garlic The leaves are edible; they can be used as salad, herb, boiled as a vegetable, in soup, or as an ingredient for a sauce that may be a substitute for pesto in lieu of basil. In order to benefit from the light in the woods, growth begins early in the spring. Plantane often wakes up early in the summer, when the light is in the woods.
Villeple Malus sylvestris (L.) Mill. Villeplet is highly light-dependent, needs light and air to thrive, and grows primarily in open cultural landscapes, such as in back beaches of the sea and rocky mountain. Villeplet usually grows like a small tree, about 4-5 meters high. The taste is sour and compelling bitter.
Gulaks Not very tolorate to shade. Having a sweet and pleasant scent since it contains coumarin glycosides, substances released by drying and giving the special scent of freshly ground high. Bring dried gulaks to wardrobes to release nice odors to the laundry. Can be drank for sneezing and colds aslo.
Botnegras Lobelia dortmanna L. These plants typically require an area with full sun but will tolerate partial shade. They also prefer moist, rich soil. Violet-blue is probably one of the most commonly seen. These plants make great additions in borders, along creeks or ponds.
02 Light resources
What is visible for plants Many species can see light within frequencies outside the human “visible spectrum. For instance, Ultraviolet Light is invisible for human beings, but do visible for insects and birds. But this light can be artificial made and is proofed beneficial for plants nutrition. Bees and many other insects can detect ultraviolet light, which helps them find nectar in flowers. Plant species that depend on insect pollination may owe reproductive success to their appearance in ultraviolet light rather than how colorful they appear to humans.
