Andreas Flourakis (MA Writing for the Stage and Broadcast Media) is a Greek writer. He was included in the Royal Court International Residency (UK-2001) and he was a visiting professor on playwriting in K.U. during his Fulbright Award (USA-2005). His plays The Days Before You Came, Faith and Her Leaves have been produced by the Theater of the South (Geece-2002/2003). His monologue Cassie was performed in Delfi Festival (Greece-2007). His play The Phoenix And Its Chicken was presented at the Royal Court Upstairs (UK-2001), Gate Theater (UK-2003), Inge Theatre (USA-2005) and at the Hotink festival (USA-2007). Script-in-hand performances of his play Atreides, End were presented in the University of Kansas (USA-2005), at the 29th Comparative Drama Conference (USA-2005) as well as in The Greek-American Performing Arts Festival (USA-2009). In 2009 he received the ITI – UNESCO Award for his play Psychic Force. In addition he has published two novels and three books of poems in Greek.
