Cross Timbers Sports (CTS) provides basketball and volleyball leagues for youth Pre-K through eighth grade. CTS offers both recreational and competitive programs in both basketball and volleyball. CTS offers a winter and summer basketball program, as well as a fall and spring volleyball program.

Flower Mound Lacrosse Association (FMLA) is the Town’s lacrosse provider. FMLA offers lacrosse programs for boys and girls grades 1-12. FMLA offers a spring program, February through May.

Neighborhood Sports is the Town’s youth football provider and offers NFL Flag Football for boys and girls starting at age 4. Divisions are arranged by school grade with the divisions separated by each grade level and Junior High (grades 7 & 8) divisions. Season runs in the fall.

The Flower Mound Youth Sports Association (FMYSA) provides baseball and softball for youth ages 3-18 years. Recreation programs are available for all ages and select programs are open to players who are 7 years of age and older. FMYSA offers both a spring and fall season each year.

FMYSA partners with the Miracle League North Texas to make sure our community has fields that are inclusive for all athletes. Miracle League serves children with physical and mental disabilities, which can cause them to be excluded from conventional youth baseball leagues.

Greater Lewisville Area Soccer Association

The Greater Lewisville Area Soccer Association (GLASA) provides recreational soccer opportunities for children ages U5-U19 as well as a coed adult league. GLASA offers both a spring and fall soccer program to citizens living in southern Denton County.

Help the Town commemorate Dorothy’s battle with MS by participating in the annual Dorothy’s Dash 5K race and Kid’s K. On November 16, 2004, former Town of Flower Mound employee Dorothy Walkup lost her battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Net proceeds will benefit the Texas Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Dorothy’s honor. Categories/Awards

Awards will be given to the male and female winners as well as the first three finishers in each age category. All Kid’s K participants will receive a medal. There will be no duplication of awards. 5K Categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Packet Pick-Up

Packets can be picked up prior to the race from the Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Road, Flower Mound, TX 75028, at the following times.

November 10, 2 – 10 p.m. November 11, 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Packets can also be picked up at the event site the morning of the race.

Race Day Schedule

7 a.m. On Site Registration/Chip Pick-Up 7:45 a.m. Race Warm-up 8 a.m. Kid’s K (14847) 8:30 a.m. 5K Run/Walk (14848) After the race participants can enjoy music, refreshments, and awards.
