Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons are 30 minutes in length and available for all skill levels and ages (three to adult). Lessons are held outside of normal group class times and are scheduled between the student and aquatic staff. Water Park Lifeguard Training Course
This American Red Cross course certifies participants in lifeguard training, water park lifeguard training, first aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer. The purpose of this course is to teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies in pools and water parks. Prerequisites are required and will be conducted on the first day of class. Participants unable to complete the prerequisites may request a refund, minus a $50 administrative fee. A lunch break will be provided. There is a $35 certification fee, payable to the American Red Cross. Participants will be required to pay on the American Red Cross website. Intro to Synchronized Swimming Camp
Artistic or synchroized swimming is a sport combining the skills of swimming, dance, and gymnastics. Swimmers will learn basic synchro kicks, sculls, floats, positions, and will develop a short synchro routine to perform on the last day. Must be a fairly strong swimmer that is able to tread water and is comfortable in deep water. Ages: 6-14 years Location: CAC Indoor Pool Instructor: North Texas Synchronicity Staff Min/Max: 10/20 As a part of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF), the team emphasizes fun, fitness, and sportsmanship. Participants compete in events based on gender and age. The cost per person for the entire summer session covers a team T-shirt, swim cap, all practices and circuit meets, coaching fees, and all TAAF regional fees. Additional fees required for team swimsuit and optional State Meet (fee TBA). A parent’s meeting will be held, but time and hosting service is to be determined. Participants learn skills such as CPR/First Aid, leadership, rescue response, and survival skills. Those who pass the class will earn the chance to gain experience at the CAC pools. Junior Guards will receive a T-shirt as part of the course. Lunch break will be provided. Come experience all that lifeguarding can be! All morning and Saturday swim lessons will be held in the Outdoor Water park beginning June 3. *Saturday Session classes will NOT meet on July 3. Registration for sessions ends the Wednesday prior to the session start date.
