STARS OF THE SPECTRUM GOLF

National golf league for talented autistic golfers. STARS Golf promotes golf as a passion and potential career path, while providing philanthropic and community leadership opportunities.

Tyler Lagasse, is one of the founding STARS League members. In 2022, after graduating from University of Massachusetts Lowell and being unable to find employment, the Flutie Foundation partnered with Tim Carlson, Manager of the PGA Tour Superstore in Natick, to land Tyler an interview and, and subsequently, a "dream" job in an industry he is passionate about.

Tyler then went on to compete in the Special Olympics USA Games, winning a Gold Medal in the top division.

Also at the Games, autistic golfer, Matt Glumac, lost his clubs and was unable to compete. Thanks to our partners at PGA Tour Superstore, the Flutie Foundation got Matt new golf clubs to win the Silver Medal!

STARS LEAGUE DETAILS

Golfers will participate locally, regionally, and nationally throughout the year by golfing in their own communities, on golf simulators and at inperson tournaments All scores will be submitted to the Flutie Foundation and will be equalized based on the golfers handicap index and the course's USGA slope rating. Golfers will play to earn prizes including scholarships to pursue their golf-related career and life goals.

Additionally, all golfers will have the unique opportunity to give back to their local autism communities through their participation in the league. The Flutie Foundation will make donations to local autism-related organizations on behalf of the golfers

PLAYER REQUIREMENTS STARS LEAGUE

This inclusive golf league welcomes players with autism or other intellectual/developmental disabilities ages 10 and older with a USGA handicap index
