Welcome to Flu!er Mag!
Founded and produced in Santa Barbara, California, creative minds have come together to bring you a wedding & lifestyle magazine filled with inspiration for your big day (and every day). With Santa Barbara as our muse it was easy to dream a vision of Flutter. The resort destination encompasses a multitude of beauty; A sense of timeless, yet modern culture, fashion and style. A community with true flair. The sky's the limit within the surf-chic, wine-centric, Spanish-cultured, barnyard-esque beauty that surrounds us. Whether you're getting married in Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, the Hampton's, or even on a ranch in the midwest, we think Santa Barbara style (Flutter style) says "I Do" anywhere. In this issue we will share some of the more traditional tastes, but what we really hope to do is push the limits, inspire you to think outside the box, and help make your wedding day dreams more than just a reality... A true work of art and expression. It's important to note that we think this isn't just for brides-to-be.... It's for bridesmaids, sisters, mothers, fathers, brothers, friends and fashionistas who crave event artistry and stimulation. Read on for our favorite Flutter finds, recipes, style tips and more. We truly hope we set your hearts a flutter with the beautiful inspiration in this issue.

Let's band together in our battle to keep the ocean pure and clean. For every bright threaded bracelet you buy, 1% goes to the Surfrider Foundation, a grassroots movement dedicated to cleaning up beaches and oceans around the world. Additionally, Pura Vida employs Costa Rican Artisans who hand-craft these one-of-a-kind, adjustable and waterproof pieces of arm candy. i had the pleasure of designing an early summer table in the meadow set against the backdrop of the beautiful

I don’t know about you, but for me just saying the word ombre makes me feel cool and super refined. It’s sort of like saying faux instead of fake… Lucky for me ombre is in this season and I am getting the chance to sound super fancy on a daily basis. The colors purple, lavender, mauve and lilac are easy to be inspired by. I know a lot of brides plan their wedding around their favorite color, but why does it have to stop there? Move your wedding color progressively through your life and live a life of ombré

BOYS!
Let’s Face It: unlike brides, most men do not like the idea of spending days, let alone hours, to find the perfect attire to wear at a wedding. This is a quick and simple guide that can help. One style for this season includes a classic combination of a black suit and tie. Others go for a more unconventional mismatched look with muted colors like greys, browns and tans. Whether you attend a wedding or are one of the groomsmen, these looks are great style ideas for any male wedding guest to wear.

PINEAPPLE
CREAMSICLE-TINI 1 CUP FRESH PINEAPPLE JUICE 1 CUP HALF AND HALF 4 JIGGERS OF WHIPPED VODKA 4 TSP VANILLA INSTANT PUDDING MIX GARNISH WITH PINEAPPLE SLICES AND SERVE. MAKE 4 MARTINIS.
Blackberry Prosecco Popsicle 20 oz Prosecco • 1/3 cup of blackberries 4 oz crème de cassis • Splash of fresh lime juice 2 pinches of lime zest M ak es 12 2.5oz Popsicles
Instructions: 1. Place blackberries in a bowl and pour crème de cassis on top and toss to coat. Using a muddler or a rounded blunt end of a kitchen tool, crush berries into the crème de cassis. Add lime juice and zest, toss to combine. 2. Measure out approximately 1 teaspoon of berry mixture into bottom of your chosen popsicle form and pour Prosecco on top. 3. Freeze for about 2 hours or until mixture starts to solidify enough to hold a popsicle stick upright. Insert popsicle sticks and finish freezing popsicles overnight. 4. Do not remove from freezer until ready to serve, or plate over crushed ice as the carbonation in the Prosecco creates tiny air pockets that will make the popsicles melt faster.

Flutter D.I.Y. Block Party These would be so sweet at a rehearsal dinner or wedding day celebration. Use your engagement photos, family photos or photos that show your journey to your wedding day. Materials Needed: Wooden Blocks (craft stores) Printed Photos Mod Podge Foam Brush This DIY is so simple and is sure to be picture perfect. First, cut out the photos you have printed on regular white paper to fit one side of your wooden block. A ruler will help for the exact measurements. Brush a small layer of Mod Podge on the back of the photo and place it down on the side of the block, using your fingers to smooth it out so there are no wrinkles or bubbles. Do the same for all of the sides of the block. Once all the photos are on, brush another thin layer of Mod Podge all around the block on the face of the photos, smoothing any edges and wrinkles. Let them dry completely before moving them. Cari Thomas, DIY Guru

A΄ide and G΄oom ƹiˉnζ These signs are a natural spin on the popular bride and groom wired signs that are placed on the chairs of the couple at their wedding. Materials Needed: Paper Wrapped Floral Wire Floral Wire Greenery or Small Flowers Scissors Ribbons Using your paper wrapped floral wire, shape the letters of bride and groom. Doing them in cursive is much easier as they are naturally connected that way. Attach your greenery and/or flowers to the wired letters using the non- paper wrapped floral wire (we used green so it would blend). Make it as thick as you would like, as long as you can still see the shape of the letters. Use a few coordinating ribbons to tie the signs to your chairs. Cari Thomas, DIY Guru
