A thought-provoking and hilarious romp through time and space from debut creator, Tyrell Waiters that explores what it means to be human in a world fraught with uncertainty.

When Vern starts a new dead-end job as a custodian at Quasar, things aren't entirely what they seem. When Vern accidentally plugs in a mysterious machine and finds himself standing on the brink of the destruction of every planet in the Multiverse, he finds himself presented with the greatest question of all: what's the point?

Fans of Ben Passmore's personal and political comics—as well as classic sci-fi comedies like Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Rick and Morty—will enjoy this world of hyper fantasy with a touch of humor, as told by a Black creator.

Tyrell Waiters is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer from Palmetto, Florida. After graduating Ringling College of Art and Design, he turned himself to working as an apparel graphic designer for children's clothing. Now currently living in Seattle with his wife and their many cats. When not working, he's painting in his studio and exploring nature.

Ella and Madeleine don’t know it yet, but they’re about to embark on the strangest romantic adventure of their lives, and it’s not just their hearts that are getting stolen in this laugh-out-loud, capering graphic novel.

What happened last night?

Ella can’t seem to remember a single thing from the party the night before at a mysterious stranger’s mansion, and she sure as heck doesn’t know why she’s woken up in her bed surrounded by a magpie’s nest of objects that aren’t her own. And she can’t stop thinking about her huge crush on Madeleine, who she definitely can’t tell about her sudden penchant for kleptomania… But does Maddy have secrets of her own? Can they piece together that night between them and fix the mess of their chaotic personal lives in time to form a normal, teenage relationship? That would be nice.

A bump in the night, the crack of floorboards and the uneasy coldness of a room... signs we might attribute to a ghostly presence.

Through the decades, investigators and mediums have dedicated themselves to the task of reaching through the veil and contacting the other side. This illustrative study explores whether ghosts are the souls of the dead, windows in time or interdimensional beings, and how cultures through the ages have responded with fear and fascination to their horrific haunts and eerie appearances.

The story of a young Parisian girl lost in the gulf between childhood and adulthood, navigating depression... and discovering the Beatles.

This is the story of a girl growing up in the 1990s – a middle-schooler who finds herself developing paralyzing fears of failure, school, other people, and her own changing body. Along the way, she becomes obsessed with the Beatles... which might be just what she needs to find her way back to being okay. Yeah yeah yeah!

INTRODUCING TWENTY SEVEN

Twenty Seven is a bold, new literary list to celebrate experimental writing in fiction and non fiction. Launched in 2021, this list champions breakthrough voices who have something important to say or a brilliant story to tell. This new list appeals to a contemporary readership who want to read surprising, provocative and inspiring books. Nobrow has an established visual aesthetic in illustrated books and we’re excited to bring this to the form of the novel by merging with authors who love to experiment with the form of the content.

Twenty Seven’s aim is to become home to the next great writing heroes who are not afraid to stand out from the crowd, and find their feet with an independent publisher who are not afraid to take a risk. Our small and curated list grabs readers and champions dynamic fiction and non-fiction writing.

Faithful Penelope waits for her husband’s return as she weaves a shroud that foretells her doom, Scylla once a beautiful nymph turned monster prowls the seas hungry for flesh, while the witch Circe falls for a man who will leave her.

Valentine Carter’s fierce verse novel debut gives voice to the mostly forgotten and maligned female characters of Homer’s epic The Odyssey. It is a celebratory ode to those who survive within and outside of gender norms and questions how those without a voice find freedom within the world of men.

Valentine Carter grew up in a small village, escaped to the capital and now lives by the sea. They recently completed an MA in creative writing at Birkbeck, University of London, where they are now studying for a PhD. Valentine has short fiction published by The Fiction Pool, Bandit Fiction, In Yer Ear and The Mechanics’ Institute Review : Issue 15 and Issue 16, and poetry published by Perverse and Visual Verse.
