Many thanks to King’s Castle Ministries in El Salvador for believing that junior high students can make a difference! 2019 Annual Auction
Five League Championships
We want to thank the Lord for the success of the 2019 Annual Banquet and Auction! This year we were blessed with winning bids, donations and sponsorships that reached $46,721! That total goes a long way towards helping us reach our development goals of $125,000. We want to thank all of our sponsors, businesses that donated items and services, the team of Leah McCann (auction chair), Tina Neville (Class basket chair) and Shawn Wheeler (Admin Assistant and event captain), and everyone that helped make the evening a success.
We are excited about the incredible year of success for our sports teams. The school won the following championships this year – boys flag football, girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, and girls soccer!
Teacher Appreciation Banquet
Our teams won five of the six league championships, way to go!
We would like to thank everyone that made the 2019 Teacher Appreciation Banquet and Concert a major success! We were blessed to host a reunion of 24 former teachers and staff. The evening featured a meal from Carrabbas, music by our students and amazing parent testimonies. The school was also blessed with an offering totaling over $30,000 for our teachers and staff and we are very fortunate to have tremendous support by our home church, First Assembly of God led by Pastor Dan Betzer.
We Will Miss You Mrs. Peg Swearingen!
Teacher Spotlight
A BIG thank you and we will miss you to Mrs. Peg Swearingen who will be retiring from full time teaching after this school year. Mrs. Swearingen has served as our math teacher from 1998-2006 and then she returned from 2012-2019.
Congratulations to Miss Angel Schreiber (preschool teacher and preschool lead teacher) and Miss Naomi Welborn (third grade teacher and K-5 lead teacher). Both teachers have completed their coursework with Grand Canyon University and now have their Masters of Education in Educational Leadership.
Our students and our staff have been blessed by her love for the Lord, family, students and math.
FMCS is proud of their accomplishment and thankful for all their hard work!
