*GREETING *HYMN

Love Divine All Loves Excelling Love divine, all loves excelling, Joy of heav’n, to earth come down! Fix in us thy humble dwelling, All thy faithful mercies crown. Jesus, thou art all compassion, Pure, unbounded love thou art; Visit us with thy salvation, Enter ev’ry trembling heart.

Mockelbust

Breathe, oh, breathe thy loving Spirit Into ev’ry troubled breast; Let us all in thee inherit; Let us find thy promised rest. Take away the love of sinning; Alpha and Omega be; End of faith, as its beginning, Set our hearts at liberty. Come, Almighty, to deliver; Let us all thy life receive; Suddenly return, and never, Nevermore thy temples leave. Thee we would be always blessing, Serve thee as thy hosts above, Pray, and praise thee without ceasing, Glory in thy perfect love. Finish then thy new creation, Pure and spotless let us be; Let us see thy great salvation Perfectly restored in thee! Changed from glory into glory, Till in heav’n we take our place, Till we cast our crowns before thee, Lost in wonder, love and praise!

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM AT 11:00

Dr. Steve Wende With God’s help we will proclaim the good news and live according to the example of Christ. We will surround Audrianna Dianne Schaefer with a community of love and forgiveness that she may grow in her trust of God and be found faithful in her service to others. We will pray for her, that she may be a true disciple who walks in the way that leads to life eternal.

SUNG RESPONSE I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry "I was there to hear your borning cry, I'll be there when you are old. I rejoiced the day you were baptized, to see your life unfold.”

*CONGREGATION RESPONSE Lamb of God Your only Son, no sin to hide, but you have sent him from your side, To walk upon this guilty sod, and to become the Lamb of God. O Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God, I love the holy Lamb of God! O wash me in his precious blood – my Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.

And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ’s offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of the faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us gathered here, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood. By your Spirit make us one with Christ, one with each other, and one in ministry to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory, and we feast at his heavenly banquet. Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy Church, all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father, now and for ever. Amen.

LIFE OF THE CHURCH

SHARING OF COMMUNION

Rev. Ann Spears *CHRIST’S INVITATION Leader: Christ our Lord invites to His table all who love Him, who earnestly repent of their sins and seek to live in peace with one another. Hear the good news: Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that proves God’s love toward us. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven! People: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven! Glory to God. Amen.

Dr. Steve Wende

THE LORD’S PRAYER Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, Forever. Amen.

Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all rejoice who have voice to raise! And may God give us faith to sing always: Alleluia!

POSTLUDE

Toccata on HYFRYDOL Jay Whatley, Organist

GREAT THANKSGIVING Lift up your hearts! We lift them up to the Lord! Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God! It is right to give our thanks and praise! It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven we praise your name and join their unending hymn: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest! On the night before He went to the cross, our Lord took bread, gave thanks to you, broke the bread, gave it to His disciples, and said: “Take, eat: this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” When the supper was over, Jesus took the cup, gave thanks to you, gave it to His disciples, and said: “Drink from this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
