First Methodist Houston Eagle Pass Mission Trip April 23-26, October 1-4, and December 18-21, 2014 Eagle Pass is a quiet border city where 38% of the population lives below the poverty level. You can make a difference by repairing a home for a family in need, working on light construction projects and participating in evangelistic outreach to those in need of hope. Itinerary Day 1: Meet at First Methodist’s Westchase Campus at 9 a.m. Briefing, packing, departure. Travel by 12-passenger vans to Eagle Pass. Lunch on the road. Settle in and de-brief. Dinner and briefing activities, worship and bed. Days 2-3: Breakfast, Quiet Time, Work and ministry outreaches in Eagle Pass, Lunch on projects, Dinner at church. Worship each night. Day 4: Breakfast, Quiet Time, Home visitations, Pack. Depart Eagle Pass at noon. Lunch on road. Arrive at First Methodist Houston around 6 p.m. Transportation: 12-passenger vans Housing: We will be staying at local church. It is camp-style lodging – bring an air mattress, sleeping bag and pillow. Cost: $200 per person includes transportation, lodging, most meals and ministry supplies. Cost does not include immunizations, incidentals or souvenirs. You will need money for two meals on the road and anything else you wish to purchase. Required Documents  Registration Form  Medical Release Form  Parent Permission to Travel (if under 18) Immunizations:  Tetanus – required  Hepatitis A and B – recommended for all travel.  Be sure your routine vaccinations are up to date. Routine vaccines, as they are often called, such as for influenza, chickenpox, polio, measles/mumps/rubella (MMR) and diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT) are given at all stages of life.

The less room we take up for personal items, the more room we have for supplies!  Bible, pen and notebook Clothing  lightweight, long pants for work projects  jacket/sweatshirt  T-shirts  Closed toe shoes  Underwear/socks  Pajamas  Shower shoes Personal Items  Air mattress  sleeping bag or sheet and blanket  Pillow  Towels/washcloths  Rain gear  Sunglasses/sunscreen/hat  Toiletries  Tissues  Medicine in prescription bottle/box (anti-diarrhea)  Chewable Pepto-Bismol  Antibacterial wipes  Bug repellant  Water bottle  Camera and batteries  Flashlight  Snack food (individually packaged, if desired)  Work gloves, hammer Supplies needed for outreaches These are optional and could be a great way to involve others.  Money  Small toiletries (razors, shaving cream, lotion, deodorant, shampoo, etc.)  Toothbrushes/Toothpaste  Hammer, work gloves  Small toys/stuffed animals
