HELLO FM REALTY! Spring came early and now it’s summer! As the weather warmed so did the market and here we are in the middle of our busiest part of the year. Like the weather, the market is hot!

Home sales are up, buyer demand is up and sellers are happy.

While this market has continued to create more inventory challenges it is by all accounts a great market!

Summer is a time of graduations, school year endings, vacations, gatherings with friends, family and outdoor activities.

We hope that your summer is filled with many special times.

A lot has happened in the second quarter of 2017 and we are excited to share the news and tell you more about what is to come during this season. Take a look inside!

LETTER FROM THE REGIONAL MANAGER Hello Fonville Morisey Realty, Second quarter of 2017 has been busy in so many ways with activities and keeping up with this tremendous market! Since our last newsletter we celebrated 2016 and jumped into a spring market that has continued to heat up like the weather!

I want to thank you again for the hard work and successes of 2016. We changed things up this year with FM Focus and the recognition of your accomplishments. The goal was to be more public focused in the recognition of your achievements and provide time at the program for you to mingle with each other. While we accomplished those goals we missed in the personal recognition at the event. For that I am truly sorry and that shortcoming falls on me. Please accept my sincere apology.

The good news is that we received great feedback from the post-event survey. With the survey results, we can improve the event for the future, making it better for everyone.

As the spring market has been busy, so have we in our quest to provide better resources for you and your clients. I wanted to share a few things that have recently launched or will be rolling out soon. During the early spring we were busy with changing warranty products and working with Long & Foster Insurance to roll it out. Your response has been tremendous. We believe that we have the very best warranty program and service system in the industry. Drew, Andrew and Nathan, our local L&F Insurance team, is there to help and make sure that our clients are cared for with a level of service that makes us proud.

We are finally on track with Moxi Engage, the database management side of Moxi. Over the last month, you have seen some preliminary training on databases and sphere-based selling in preparation for Moxi Engage training scheduled for July. We are excited about this program and there is more information in this newsletter..

We will roll out our new associate training program – “LAUNCH” – in August. This is a Fonville Morisey version of a program that Long & Foster rolled out a couple of years ago. We are very excited to get this program up and running. Please look inside for additional information.

Lastly, thank you for all of the feedback from the sign road show and survey. It was very helpful for us to hear your feedback and concerns firsthand as we move into the final stages. You picked a clear number 1 choice, which is featured it on the next page.

Thank you again for all that you do to serve your clients and the community. You make a difference in people’s lives as you help them navigate through the processes involved with homeownership.

GIVE A ROUND OF APPLAUSE TO THE HARD WORK THAT HAS BEEN DONE fm focus 2017 In March we came together at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts to celebrate your 2016 accomplishments and the kick off of company visions for the future. FM Focus was the theme and was part of a month long recognition of the hard work and achievements of the best of the best in Triangle real estate! Our program featured speaker Jess Ekstrom, the founder of Headbands of Hope and local entrepreneur who shared her story and views on purposeful entrepreneurship.

FM Focus also revealed a new logo, FM Cares, to serve as a foundation for communicating the tremendous giving of the FM team as you serve the communities in which we live.

More than anything we are proud of you and the work that you did to make 2016 a great year!

Thank you all for the feedback and suggestions from the office visits and survey on new sign design. As a result, we have a clear preference on the yard panel, which is pictured above.

The color choice for riders was divided between white and blue, so we will offer both options with the new signs. Current rider options available through EZ Sign will continue to be available.

Now we are in the final stages of design of the other riders, open house signs, etc. Our plan is to roll out new signs in the 3rd quarter. More detail will come later in the summer!

Thanks to all who joined Team Fonville Morisey for the Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Race for the Cure! The race was held on Saturday, May 6 and we had over 120 people sign up to join the fight. With your outpouring of support we raised over $24,631!

At our annual awards program we shared the vision of being more purposeful in our focus to our communities. Fonville Morisey is a giving company. As part of the program, we created a video that featured the needs of our community and how you have responded to those needs. Giving is what you do! Fighting breast cancer has been a cause near and dear to Fonville Morisey for many years.

Sales Associates and employees throughout the company have been impacted directly or indirectly by the disease. Raising money for this year’s Triangle Race for the CureŽ in RTP was our way to make an impact.

FM offices competed across the Triangle in a friendly competition to see which branch could raise the most money. They held raffles, bake sales, car washes, and events at area restaurants.

They also promoted the cause through their websites including fmrealty.com and Facebook, to encourage donations and invite clients and friends to join the FM Team.

Susan G. Komen NC Triangle to the Coast was founded in 1997. The service region consists of 28 counties, including Wake, Durham, and Orange.

We had over 120 associates sign up to join their branch teams, and we raised $24,631!

In revealing the new FM Cares Logo we have a face to use with our efforts and a way to communicate with the public. As we rolled out that logo, Rod shared a vision to become more involved with Habitat for Humanity. We believe we can make a difference as a company in helping to provide someone with the very thing that we do every day - create a place to call home.

We know that we can make a difference.

Over the last few months we have gathered information and we are ready to develop a plan. We need your help. We want to create a task force of employees and sales associates to review the findings and develop a strategic plan. Brier Creek spent a Friday afternoon in March at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC pota-totally sorting 8,900 pounds of potatoes which equals almost 7,500 meals for local families.

Croasdaile spent a Wednesday afternoon at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC salvaging 8,250 pounds of food which translates to 6,947 meals for local families.

fm realty tackles hunger The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina serves 34 counties, or about one third of the state. In order to reach their wide service area, FM Realty has stepped up to help. Each month, a branch office visits the Food Bank to help sort food, raise awareness of food insecurity in the area, and improve the community we call home.

STAY ON TOP OF WHAT'S HAPPENING long & foster home warranty We are excited to announce that in an effort to help you better serve your clients, FM has introduced a new home warranty partnership through Long & Foster Insurance. The Long & Foster Home Warranty is powered by HMS. HMS has been the provider of the private label Long & Foster Home Warranty plan since 2010.

The Long & Foster Home Warranty Plan provides comprehensive repair and replacement coverage for systems and appliances, including unlimited HVAC units, plumbing stoppages (up to 125’), refrigerators and built-in icemakers, among many other items. The base plan is available in North Carolina for $509 + tax, with coverage upgrades available for added costs. moxi engage July is engage in Moxi Engage month! Over the last couple of months we have been training and developing our Moxi skills at the leadership level so that we have a complete appreciation and the knowledge to help our team with this tremendous productivity and marketing tool. During the last few weeks, your managers have had a series of classes on database management, goal setting/business planning and sphere based marketing to set the stage for Moxi Engage training in July.

We will officially kick off Moxi Engage on Tuesday, July 11th with a company-wide simulcast that will be shown in your branch offices. That will be followed with Engage training in the branches that week and the following week. Additional resources will be available on the Toolkit to help you implement Moxi to assist you in your daily activities and marketing efforts.

If you haven’t been into the Presentation Pro portion of Moxi in a while, please revisit it. You will see that there are many changes and features that have been added. MoxiWorks is committed to developing more and better tools as they expand their features, and we are proud to be a partner in that quest.

We are very excited to get this tool out to you and apologize for the delays in implementation.

As you see all of the tools and opportunities that Moxi provides, we are confident that it will have been worth the wait.

LAUNCH Over the last year we have been evaluating our associate training programs and working on updating them with the vision of providing the best training in the Triangle. We are very excited to roll out an updated new associate training program later this summer. The program is called LAUNCH and was designed by our parent company, Long & Foster, to provide a platform for “launching” or “re-launching” a career in real estate.

LAUNCH focuses on prospecting and activities designed to set a strong foundation and create the right habits to pave the way for a rewarding and successful career. This program focuses on fundamentals of the real estate business, tools and resources that we have as a company and the successes of peers that have gone before you. Classroom learning is complemented by selfpaced learning and completion of Income Producing Activities through 12 course modules.
