This newsletter is created exclusively for our FM sales associates, staff and management teams and will feature upcoming events, important information and updates that we feel are vital to your knowledge bank. We know that you’re busy building your business and grinding it out, so we want to make this as easy to access as possible. LETTER FROM THE REGIONAL MANAGER I am so happy to kick off this first issue of The FM Connection as we continue to develop new tools and resources for our team here at Fonville Morisey Realty. One of our goals is to keep you informed by providing more communication about where we are and where we are going as a company. As I’ve been to your offices, you may have heard me say that Fonville Morisey is the best kept secret in the real estate business in North Carolina. It is my responsibility to let the secret out and make sure everyone knows that Fonville Morisey Realty is not only one of the top companies in the Triangle, but that we are the best at caring for each other, our clients and our communities. You may have noticed that we are using the statement – “We Are Triangle Real Estate.” That is a bold statement and one that carries a lot of responsibility. Your leadership team is committed to being the best. Now, that doesn’t mean that we are committed to being the largest in the measure of number of sales associates, offices or staff. There are organizations that we compete with that believe that is the answer to growing their business. We believe that being number one is achieved by being the best. By focusing on the needs of our people, our clients and our communities, the business will come. This is the foundation that started our company and continues to be the foundation of our planning and strategy for the future. I was recently reminded that I am a newcomer to the FM family. In fact, it has been about 196 days - not that anyone except me is counting. I count because I live in the paradox of two worlds. World one is: I’ve only been here 196 days and I’m still learning. World two is: It’s been 196 days and what have I done? That is the madness and torture that a leader lives. However, both statements are true. I am and will continue to learn more about our fabulous company. I promise to continue to ask questions. I promise to keep us growing in our pursuit of being the best. Shifting to what we have done, I am proud to say that we have accomplished a lot. There are so many great things being done in this company, some you know about and others are coming soon! What are some of them? As you know, we completed the Toolkit redesign and launch. I hope you are enjoying the new look, function and features. We continue to look at ways to improve and build on the resources in the Toolkit. We also added additional teammates to the Marketing Department. This team is playing an important role as we message and communicate who and what we are. This newsletter, a new Luxury Home Marketing Program (coming out this month), the Blog and an enhanced social media presence are just a few things they have been working on over the past few months. In addition to our marketing efforts, we have been involved in developing the coaching skills of our leadership team. We share more information about coaching in this newsletter. Then there is Moxi. We are in the critical stage of design and creation of our versions of Moxi and PresentationPro. This powerful CRM, CMA and presentation tool is going to be a true asset to all of us. It is fully mobile and ties you and your clients together with marketing follow-up plans and communication that will sync with your FM email account. I am so excited that we are going to be able to provide this tool to everyone. We are on target for release in late October. I wanted to share some of those things with you, without boring you with the complete list of things that every department is diligently working on to make us the best! As we all continue in that quest, let’s not forget that an attitude of humbleness and servitude are traits that we want others to see about us. This is a focus that we intend to put more energy into as a company. After all, when we say, "We Are Triangle Real Estate,” we mean it and accept the responsibilities that come with it. Our Digital Media Marketing Director, Olivia Bennett, has put her blood, sweat and tears into updating our FM Realty blog and we're thrilled with the result!
The luxury market in North Carolina has made a comeback over the past few years since those terrible days in 2008. The sale of high end homes increased 20% last year, with average days on market between 90-115 days. FM Realty wants to continue to remain competitive in the Triangle.
If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet - go look at it now! (www.blog.fmrealty.com) We have had great feedback about the new look and we are excited about the content that has been generated so far. Each month the blog will feature a different FM sales office, and the associates from that office will write posts about what they know best - Real Estate and the Triangle. Last month, the blog featured posts from our Lochmere office, and they set the bar high! This month the blog will feature our Preston office, so stay tuned for some great posts. We believe that this blog will be a great tool to generate buzz about FM Realty's expertise in the Triangle market. It allows our sales associates to have a voice and share a little about their real estate passions and experience. Since our competitors have luxury home marketing programs, they are retaining a higher luxury market share in the area. In response to this, FM Realty will be launching our newest marketing service - luxury home marketing services. This marketing program will consist of marketing service packages that sales associates can purchase. In addition to packages, à la carte options will be available for add-on as well. The packages will offer high end property brochures, postcards, aerial photography and most importantly, convenience! You will be able to purchase these services right from the FM Toolkit! Look for luxury marketing examples in your office by the end of September. We are thrilled to introduce this new service to you - we know you'll love it.
