WHY DID WE PICK ALLISON?
A Fargo native, Allison Grippe has a deep connection to the Fargo-Moorhead area. However, it wasn't until 2014 that she began practicing yoga. In 2018, Allison suffered through a severe form of food poisoning, losing a ton of weight in the process. Since completing that, she has made a deep impact in her home community through the practice. She worked as an instructor, built an online following and even hosted practices on the roof of the Jasper Hotel in downtown Fargo. Eventually, she opened her own studio, Yuj Yoga.
One of the more unique options for movement in the metro is FM Aerial & Movement Arts, a pole dancing and aerial silks studio in town that will give you a serious workout!

1. MOVE IN THE MORNING
"The oat milk matcha latte at Youngblood might be my favorite drink on planet Earth."
-Brady Drake, Editorial Director
"While it’s tempting to think of movement solely as a means for fitness or weight loss, it’s really much more about making you feel alive in your own body. Exercise and movement in the morning have a myriad of benefits including improved focus and productivity. I love rolling out my mat first thing in the morning knowing that I'll receive a boost of happiness."
3. DRINK TEA
"While some brews provide more health advantages than others, there's plenty of evidence that regularly drinking tea can have a lasting impact on your wellness. I recently started ordering a peach blossom tea at 20 Below Coffee and a matcha latte at Youngblood, and I do not regret that decision."
