Loctek Ergonomic, which manufactures office equipment in Asia, intends to build a 234,000-square-foot warehouse at 2983 Faye Road in North Jacksonville next to 2969 Faye Road, which is where GE Appliances leases a mega-warehouse.

California. The Bloomberg news service says Loctek Ergonomic Technology Corp. is based in China. Loctek says it has 1,400 jobs and operates factories in China and Vietnam and distribution centers in Livermore, which is near San Francisco, and in Memphis, Tennessee, and Houston. Loctek Inc. Development Manager Lori Wu said Feb. 11 by email that the company occupies a building at 1350 Tradeport Drive and will

UF Health and Jax Spine & Pain Centers announced a Feb. 17 groundbreaking for a $25 million multispecialty surgery center and medical office building. The t h r e e - s t o r y, 54,000-square-foot facility is planned at 5191 First Coast Technical Parkway at northeast Butler and Kernan boulevards, according to a Feb. 12 news release. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2022. It is near the University of North Florida. UF Health Jacksonville physicians will have access to the facility to provide out- Haley patient surgical procedures and meet with patients in the medical office buildings. “This is a great opportunity for UF Health to work hand-in-hand with one of this region’s leaders in outpatient surgical care,” Dr. Leon Haley Jr., CEO of UF Health Jacksonville, said in the news release. “There are so many positive aspects of this collaboration, from UF Health’s surgical experts branching out into the community to something as basic as the location, which is central to all parts of Northeast Florida. Wayfair installing $5 million conveyor system Wayfair Inc. is installing a conveyor system at its Westside fulfillment center at a project cost of almost $5 million. The city issued a permit Feb. 10 for MHS Company Inc. of Kentucky to install the platform, conveyor equipment, supports and controls at a cost of $4,966,000. Boston-based Wayfair opened the center at 13483 103rd St. in AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center. The online home furnishings company executed a long-term lease for a 1,012,567-square-foot building next to the Amazon.com fulfillment center. Wayfair calls the Jacksonville center as a Large Parcel Home Delivery Operation.
