She announced the possible approval timeline June 16 during the DIA’s monthly board meeting. Boyer said the agency’s Real Estate and Property Disposition Committee would consider Khan’s $321 million development proposal for the 8-acre former Kids Kampus park property June 25 and move to the full board July 7. Khan’s plan for the Kids Kampus site includes a 176-room and 25 residential-unit Four Seasons, a city-owned marina and facilities building and a six-floor office building. London-based SmartStream Technologies, a financial solutions and managed services provider, announced June 15 it opened its Jacksonville office and is looking for workers. Its office is at 4190 Belfort Road, Suite 200, in Enterprise Park. The office building is at Interstate 95 and Butler Boulevard. SmartStream said it will start with 20 employees, focusing on providing technology and business support services, client onboarding, professional services and solution presales.
The company said that while some executives and staff will be relocating, most of the employees will be hired from the region. “The opening of this Center marks a milestone in the growth of our solutions and managed services offerings,” Haytham Kaddoura, CEO of SmartStream, said in a news release. “Dedicated to the development and support of our services we wanted a site that was near customers, offered a pool of available talent and was located in an area that was conducive to doing business,” he said. “After researching potential locations
City issues Axionlog permit for $2.9M warehouse The city approved a permit June 14 for Axionlog to build its cold and dry storage warehouse in North Jacksonville at a cost of $2.9 million. V. Paulius & Associates of Allendale, New Jersey, is the contractor for the 37,763-square-foot project on 8.5 acres at 11370 New Berlin Road. The city previously issued permits totaling $125,000 for site clearing on 16.53 acres, foundation construction and other work. JAX Chamber announced in December 2019 that the company would establish a consolidation/ distribution facility in Duval County and start with 25 jobs.
