Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan’s plan to build a $321 million Four Seasons hotelanchored development on the Downtown riverfront south of TIAA Bank Field took another step forward. The Jacksonville City Council voted 17-0 on Oct. 12 to approve a $114 million incentives package for the project. Council passed Ordinance 2021-0673 with no debate or commentary. Council member Aaron Bowman was absent. Jaguars President Mark Lamping said Oct. 13 the Council’s unanimous support of the project and the team’s proposed football training facility is significant for the relationship with the city. “I think we’re in a very good place where both the Jaguars and the city’s interests are completely aligned,” Lamping said. “And that speaks volumes for the future.” SEE FOUR SEASONS, PAGE 7
