Foxtail Coffee Co. franchise owners announced they will open in Sawgrass Village and East San Marco.

Foxtail Coffee Co. franchise owners Ty Claggett and Doug Tutwiler announced Dec. 16 they will open a second Northeast Florida location. They announced the first one in

Jacksonville at 2039 Hendricks Ave. in East San Marco in Jacksonville. The 1,900-square-foot shop should open in fall 2022. On Dec. 16, they announced a second will be at 260 Front St., Suite 620, in Sawgrass Village Shopping Center in Ponte Vedra Beach. The 1,300-squarefoot location will open in spring 2022. Claggett and Tutwiler said they are strategically focused on opening their first locations in two trade areas within the most dominant neighborhood markets. SEE FOXTAIL PAGE 2

Rettner pays $18.8M for Mandarin South Shopping Center Preferred Growth Properties sold the WinnDixie-anchored property, which is 98% leased. Investor Ronald Rettner paid $18.825 million on Dec. 13 for the Mandarin South Shopping Center, a Winn-Dixie-anchored property at 11700 San Jose Blvd. Rettner bought the property through Richardson Realty LLC, which is led by Rettner Manager LLC. Ronald Rettner is the manager of that. Rettner is based in New York with offices in Ponte Vedra Beach. Cantrell & Morgan Brokerage Director Sean McGill, who represented Rettner in the purchase along with Cantrell & Morgan co-CEO Jim Loftin, said the 70,169-square-foot center is about 98% leased. He said there is a 1,407-square-foot vacancy. Through PGP Jacksonville LLC, Rettner bought the 4.9acre property from Preferred Growth Properties LLC. The deed and mortgage were recorded Dec. 15. Ameris Bank in Jacksonville made a $9.5 million mortgage to Richardson Realty LLC on Dec. 13. Mandarin South was built in SEE MATHIS, PAGE 2

Citi hiring 100 auditors including in Jacksonville Citi announced Dec. 16 it will hire more than 100 workers in Jacksonville and Wilmington, Delaware, for its self-audit team. Citi Internal Audit comprises more than 2,000 workers that provide coverage across the company’s global businesses and products. The team performs independent assessments of the company’s governance, risk management and internal controls. It reports to Citi’s senior management and regulators globally. The company said it is flexible about the number of positions that will be added in each city. Citi says it has about 12 auditors in Jacksonville. The company is recruiting for the jobs and plans to hire throughout 2022.
