2022 Naiop Award Winners

CHAPTER MERIT AWARD KATE CLIFFORD Strategic Sites | Clifford Commercial

The Chapter Merit Award is given by the Board to recognize and show its appreciation to a member who has provided a unique, valuable or special service to NAIOP Northeast Florida through their time, talent and efforts.

This year’s winner is Kate Clifford. The owner of Strategic Sites, she has served the chapter in many capacities including President in 2007; Director for six years including the last three years consecutively; and NAIOP of Florida Board Member in 2011 and 2012. She has served on many committees, including Awards for the past several years, providing valuable guidance and insight. Additionally, her firm, Strategic Sites, has become synonymous with one of the chapter’s most popular events, the Beach Bash, for which they have been the title sponsor since its inception.

Northeast Florida Chapter Distinguished Service Award Anita Prewitt

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes an associate member who provides significant service to the chapter for one year or over a period of years.

This year’s winner is Anita Prewitt. Anita is the Director of Business Development for The NDN Companies and last year’s Golf Tournament Chair. She has held a variety of other leadership roles including PR & Communications Chair in 2019 and Downtown Tour & Tasting Chair in 2021. One of the chapter’s strongest advocates, Anita works diligently to promote the organization’s goals and help grow the chapter’s membership.

If you won the lottery tomorrow, where would we find you and what would you be doing? Doing what I do now but with more time to travel with my family.

Tell us about your family. Caroline, wife of 13 years; Sons Billy, 9, and George, 7.

What do you enjoy most about your work? I love seeing a ground-up industrial development from start to finish. It is a great feeling to drive by a building that creates jobs/goods for the community and know I played a small part in making it happen.

What was your first or worst job? Never had a bad job but have been bad at doing some.

If you could talk to your 17-year-old self, what advice would give them? Don’t worry about things that don’t matter.
