There’s Always Something New at The Landscape Show Considered FNGLA’s signature event, The Landscape Show takes place September 24-26 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The Landscape Show offers access to the most complete array of plants, trees, equipment and supplies for the nursery and landscape industry, cutting-edge educational workshops and an opportunity to connect with nearly 7,000 industry professionals. Yet, even more has been added to The Landscape Show itinerary for 2015. With Yard-to-Table Landscaping a hot topic, The Landscape Show will feature edible landscape displays and special cooking demonstrations. Taking place each show day at 11 a.m. on the Main Stage, these Fresh From Florida Yard-To-Table Chef ’s presentations combine horticulture expertise related to edible landscapes with culinary expertise. Thursday’s featured chef will be Chef Justin Timineri, Executive Chef for the State of Florida and Fresh from Florida. Friday’s presentation will be led by Chef James Katurakes, Executive Chef for Centerplate and the Orange County Convention Center. Saturday’s program features Chef James Boheim, Executive Chef at LEGOLAND® Hotel. Lloyd Singleton, IFAS/UF Florida Friendly Landscaping™ specialist, will provide horticulture insights related to edible plants and edible landscapes. Visit The Landscape Show’s Connection Corner to see the new Exhibitors’ Showcase featuring new plants and products. Reviewing the special items on display is a convenient way to see the newest and unique products offered by exhibitors. While at the show, take time to add your signature to The Landscape Show’s newest tree variety – the Signature Tree, to let everyone know you’re part of The Landscape Show experience. Take advantage of The Landscape Show’s new Idea Sharing Sessions, where industry members share with one another their ideas and expertise related to trending topics, including edibles and edible landscapes, environmental stewardship, sustainable landscape practices and Florida-Friendly LandscapingTM. In addition, “Meet Ups” will take place throughout show days at the Connection Corner. “Meets Ups” will be open to anyone attending the show and will include sessions for FNGLA Chapters, Retailers and Landscape Contractors. New at The Landscape Show this year will be the presentation of the Retailers’ Choice Awards. Nearly 200 independent garden center owners from across the county are expected to attend the Fall Meeting of The Garden Center Group, co-locating with The Landscape Show. While at the show, many of these retailers will vote on their favorite plants and products. The awards will be presented on Friday at 2 p.m. on the Main Stage. Continued on Page 3
