I love to look your beautiful presence Where you get all the beuty and fragrance? I never saw the beuty and fragrance when you were a bud As a helpless boy. I asked you, God or nature given you this? On 9th of January 2014 I woke up early morning at 7 'o' clock. I brushed my teeth and went to toilet. Then I had my breakfast and changed my clothes to my school uniform. Then I said bye bye to my grandma and went to school with my mum. When my class door was nearly closing my mum and me ran as fast as we can to my class door. I said good morning to my teachers. My class did their early morning work. I needed a new book. We learned how to subtract big numbers. We had a ride on the magic carpet. We played hangman. In PE I fell three times when I fell again I twisted my muscle. For lunch I had orange, juice, sandwiches and crisp. Then we wrote and drew about the journey on the magic carpet. Then I went home with my mum.

Once upon a time there lived hundreds of mice in a grocery, they ate almost everything in the grocery. They chew on the bags and they nibble on fruits, sweets, veg and everything else. The old grocer began to be anxious that his food store began to run low and was nibbled on each day. " I really yearn for a cat to chase off those spoil pests!" exclaimed the grocer. Soon, he went to the pound and adopted a grey cat, giving him a suitable name "Tigger". Before long, Tigger grew hatred for the mice as they always nibble every bit of his dinner each day. He chased them off day and night. The mice started to starve but they tried hard to cope with the starvation. Newborns were given birth but since their parents could not provide food for them and sadly, they were forced to let them die. Tigger was beginning to get bored as there were no more mice to chase off. He decided to go to the mice's den. The chief of the mice was at the first row looking at him narrowly . "Oh, what is it now, great cat," asked the chief "Foolish mouse, you've given up hope," sneered Tigger. "What else shall we do?" asked the chief sadly. "Because of you, we can't access the food store and our children is now dead because of our starvation," "Oh" said Tigger, taken back, after realizing the important purpose of their stealing and feeling a bit of sympathy on them. " Wait here" he said, he hurried out of the den, curious chatter ascended the crowd, even the chief was looking at him in interest. Tigger sneaked off to the food store and sneaked back again to the den to the extremely grateful mice. " Thank you, oh great cat!" said the chief, gratefully. " Your welcome!" beamed Tigger. "Now, time to teach that wicked grocer a lesson!" he announced, the mice and him huddled together to listen to his plan............ They headed for the farm the very next day. They reached the field where the cows were grazing, the smell of fresh dung infested everywhere. "Might want to hold your nose," Tigger whispered to the chief and about other ten or twenty mice, they did so while he unhappily placed dung onto his bag, then after that they gained
a mosquito's help by telling the tale of the mice. "I will indeed help you," she said, gladly and was told to meet tomorrow at the grocery. "Now, that's it!" said Tigger. They set off home and awaited the next day............ When the grocery was closed, they set everything in place. Since the old grocer could not see properly, so they had to make sure they leave a small piece of slippery dung onto the floor and they also threw muddy water onto the floor at the centre. The old grocer was again complaining, he stopped. He smelt something stinky but it didn't bother him much and carried on to clean but accidentally slipped on the dung and fell on the hard floor, cursing. When he managed to get up, the mosquito came into the setting and started biting him. "Get of you, beast!" he cried, trying to swat her with a spatula. Tigger and the mice could not help themselves from giggling. He didn't realize that he slipped in a puddle of muddy water and was wet and muddy all through! Tigger could not help himself from laughing that he found himself that he was actually laughing in front of him. The grocer steamed with anger and knowing that he was part of this scheme, he was fired from his job and was also kicked out from the grocery. But the mice and Tigger joined together and lived happily ever after in the den. The old grocer hired another cat, but got himself fired too so the cat joined forces with the mice and soon another cat. That over all cats have bonded friendship with the mice. Mercifully, the grocer had made no more profit and was forced to shut his grocery due to mouse bites, he even ended up living in the streets! The cats and mice have bonded with each other and began peace together and therefore lived happily ever after together.

The truth is an illusion, a drawing. We humans focus on one aspect of the painting. Only people wisdom can see the whole picture. And this person with wisdom must offer a compromise. And no-one is happy with a compromise. THE TRUTH IS THE COMPROMISE. People say false, as lies suit them better. If two people were fighting, each person would have created lies to suit themselves better. The truth, shows that both people has caused harm to the other person, and they are both guilty. Therefore, both of them get punished, and neither of them has won, or is happy. The truth is the evil-doers sworn enemy, but only a good, honest person can take truth on their side. And the one which tells the truth ALWAYS WINS!

My Visit to Velankanni

Hmmmm, going to Velankanni doesn’t sound that fun right. Well read this. When I heard that we were going to Velankanni during my vacation in India I wasn’t really interested because I have heard that Velankanni is a place in Tamil Nadu where there are lots of churches and nothing fun there to do. I was wondering how Velankanni became so famous, when I looked it up I found out there are three reasons for this. One of the reasons was Mary and Jesus appeared to a shepherd boy, the next reason was the curing of a lame buttermilk vendor, the main reason was the survival of Portuguese sailors assaulted by a violent sea storm. Velankanni is particularly a well known place because of its shrine dedicated to “Our lady of good health”. First of all on my journey to Velankanni I didn’t go on a car or a bus, I went on a train. The train was late at night. When we got there we found out that the train would be delayed by 12 hours. So all the adults had to stay up all night, while we children got to sleep. In the morning, after breakfast we jumped on the train. The journey to Velankanni was supposed to be another 12 hours. On the train we had lots of fun and the sights were incredible in Tamil Nadu. It was all going smooth until we reached a place called Trichi. There were lots of people shouting to get on the train, everyone that got on the train with us thought that it’s going to Velankanni. The railway information screen displayed the train was going straight back to Kerala. My dad and my uncles weren’t letting the train go and they didn’t think this was fair; they had to protest and they were the ones that led the protest. They had spoken to the railway officers and engaged in an argument, they gathered in front of the railway manger’s office and started saying rosary in Malayalam. There were around 500 people joined with them. It was flash news on all the news channels. Later they arranged a special train for us to Velankanni. When we got to Velankanni it was 3 O’ clock in the morning and we were staying in a hotel. We went in the hotel and the receptionist showed us the way to the rooms that we would be staying in. Next morning when I woke up I saw everyone in their nice clothes and eating breakfast. I asked my mum where we were going and she said we are going to see the churches in town. Our hotel was quite close to the town, so we only had to walk to the churches. The first church we went to was really nice because when we got to the top
we could see all the other churches poking out from the city. Walking to all the churches in the heat wave made me really tired. When we went to the last church we brought back some holy water which was in a holy well. Luckily when we were there, there was a Malayalam mass going on so we were able to watch that. After we visited all the churches we went to have some lunch in a restaurant outside our hotel. Next we were going to the beach where there had been a tsunami. On the way to the beach we stopped because the people that visited Velankanni always have their head shaved bold as an offering. I didn’t want to do this but some of my cousins did. They looked really funny. When we got to the beach I thought I wouldn’t be allowed in the sea because my foot was in bandage. But my dad said it was okay for it to come off. But I was willing to have a dip in the sea. I thought about the people that had been washed away by the tsunami. Everyone got out into the sea and we all played lots of games in the sea altogether. Our visit was over at this point and it was time for us to go back home. There was no train straight from the nearest train station to Thrissur so we had to travel to ‘Nagore’ -the nearest main city railway station- on a bus. When we got to the railway station it was so busy there wasn’t even room to walk. We went looking for seats in the train which had already been booked. When I sat down I reflected on everything that had happened on the visit: The church visiting, the hotel, swimming in the beach that has had a tsunami previously. I had fun. On our way to Velankanni we were kind of in a rush so we weren’t able to see the good sights as much as now. They were just amazing. I couldn’t believe I had missed all of this on the way to Velankanni. At some parts I thought the train was going to topple over down the hills because the train tracks are so thin. By this point I was approaching Thrissur. We got ready to get out of the train. We had to get out fast because the train was only stopping there for a couple of minutes. When we got home I was really sleepy and jumped in bed straight after supper.

The unwanted Kitten - Angeline Josy
Tiny was a small cat that lived at 24 Kingsdon Lane. Well that’s half true...she used to live there. You see she was abandoned a week ago by her unloving owners. They said she was naughty and disobedient. But all she needed was some love and care. They obviously thought she was a bad kitty but she wasn’t, she was just trying to be helpful. Anyhow she was walking down the damp road and was soaking wet (it was raining). The poor little kitten was shivering in the cold and in fear. She didn’t just fear dogs she feared humans! Infact she hates them! She called them the two legged creatures. The main reason for this because it’s the way they treat her and her little cat friends. In case you onds later the little kitten ran fearfully from the angry dog. Tiny ran as fast as her little legs could take her. Her small haven’t guessed the humans have treated her very badly. heart started to beat even faster than normal. She started Tiny was hungry (she didn’t eat for 2 days)! After a while of to panic. Suddenly, she saw a big tree. She quickly rushed walking, she was really thirsty! She looked around to see a over towards to it and started to climb it. Once she small, dirty puddle. Even though it was dirty she went over reached the very top, she took the risk to look down. The Furious dog was growling with anger and frustration. After and started drinking. a while of trying to climb the tree he finally left and went After drinking all the water in the dirty puddle she noticed home for his supper. that there was a small figure coming towards her. She looked even harder to notice that the figure was a bit bigger than her but there was not much difference in her opinion. As the figure got closer she recognised the ‘figure’ which was actually the next door neighbour’s dog. She hated the dog; he was one of the main reasons that she got kicked out of her lovely warm house by her owners. “Leave me alone!” Shouted Tiny in her small sweet voice. But all it came out as was ‘meow’! The dog sniggered with drool coming from his massive mouth. He gave a big grin showing his unhygienic teeth which was not at all glistening! Infact it was the complete opposite!
Oh I forget to mention about Tiny’s huge fear of heights. Tiny looked down and realised that she was a long distance from ground. She cried for help in her small voice but no help came, the street remained silent except from the quiet sound of the wind. The cat started to get cold and started to get sleepy. She was very much tried she couldn’t afford waiting for help she started to close her eye lids and before she knew it she was fast asleep on the top of a very large tree. While she was a sleep, a girl called Emily (who lived at 27 Kingsdon lane) saw the poor kitten and felt sympathy for her so she decided to climb the tree and rescue the cat. She managed to free the kitten. She ran towards He started to walk faster towards the hopeless kitten! Tiny her house and begged her mum if she could keep the kitty. After a lot of arguing and shouting her mum, finally, started to walk backwards slowly and in a couple of secagreed. Tiny the small kitty now lives at 27 Kingsdon Lane with Emily.

I missed her laugh, her cry and the warmth in her smile. I missed the way she always so worried. It’s ironic really; you dream of having a mum completely different from your real one but once it’s gone, you would give away your dreams, just to have her back for a moment.

I had that vein-chilling feeling in my bones and so I initially warned them not to go on that aeroplane. I managed to shed a tear at their funeral. I don’t usually cry. It makes you weak, or so I’ve been told. It was 16th December 1983. I squeezed my fathers hand so tight that I thought I would never let him go. He was so warm and so full of love, yet he could never show it. But I didn’t care. I knew deep down that he loved me, and that was enough to be able to keep me going. I begged him not to leave. I was so scared I would loose him, that I would be alone in this merciless world. I did loose him. I am alone in this merciless world. My mother was in tears before she left. It was as if she knew I was not going to be seeing her. That she wouldn’t be seeing me. Mothers always puzzled me. Somehow, they knew everything and you can’t do anything to change that, but in all honesty, you don’t want her to stop. You’re afraid that if she stops the world will freeze, time will stop ticking, and your heart will stop beating because that’s how used to it you are.
I don’t know why my parents left me alone on earth, don’t know if I ever will, but even though my life is ruined and the only reason I take effort to live is because of my brother; it isn’t too late for you to straighten your life out. It isn’t too late to untie any misunderstood knots. It isn’t too late to accomplish things you dreamed of doing, as a child. It is never too late to apologize and it’s never too late to forgive.

Domino Cat of all cats - Reethu Shaji While Domino (cat of all cats, queen) walked through the thick snow with her warm coat on, her fluffy hat blew away. She tried to jump to catch it but she couldn’t. When Domino reached her ‘Cat Palace’ she took off her cosy boots and stumbled inside. As soon as she stepped her paw inside some of Domino’s royal cat servants and friends ran to Domino to help her sit down to have a rest. After Domino had her tea (which was delicious), she suddenly sneezed one, twice then thrice. It seemed that she had caught the cold now after walking through the snow. Domino thought, who is going to be the ‘Cat of all cats’ now, if she is going to stay in bed all the time. Then Domino wondered if someone else should be ‘her’ until she is better. So then Domino goes out to see if anyone is good enough for the job. Firstly the cat guards found Henry and though that he was good for the job. Domino already knew Henry very well and knew that he was very bossy. Domino knew that Henry was not at all the right cat for the job. The second cat was called Twinkle. Domino also knew that Twinkle was very shy and quiet. Twinkle was very shy because she is scared of anything that is frightening. To check Domino asked her if she could be the ‘Cat of all cats’. As usual, Twinkle said nothing, which normally meant no. Domino now only had one more chance to find the right cat who is perfectly fit for the job. This was her last chance, if the next cat wasn’t good enough, and then there would be no one to be the ‘Cat of cats’, no one to rule the cats and even no one to help. It would be a complete disaster. The last cat, Domino didn’t know very well. She was called Sparkle. When she came into Domino’s bedroom, she bowed, so that showed that she was very polite.
Another thing was that she was very confident and was not shy unlike the other cat. And she even saved one of the cat guards when he was about to trip over. Domino had finally found the perfect cat for the job. So now Domino didn’t have to go around the whole palace looking for the perfect cat for the job. Domino was relieved because she’d found the cat she was looking for. After a few minutes Domino told Sparkle that she’s going to be the ‘Cat of all cats’ until Domino was better. Sparkle had settled in very well, she was perfect for the job. One cat wasn’t happy, it was Toby. Toby was a bad and naughty cat; none of the cats liked him. Toby wasn’t very happy because he wanted to be the ‘Cat of all cats’. He was really cross but he had a plan to make Sparkle ill. He tried pranking Sparkle to drinking a drink to make her get a cold, but Sparkle wasn’t fooled. Then Toby got really angry and decided to plan a really good trap, to get Sparkle to fall into. Toby set the trap for Sparkle. Sparkle was walking along the corridor, when she stopped for a second and noticed that she was falling down. ‘Thump’ Sparkle then noticed that she’d fell in a trap and Toby was behind it. Sparkle cried ‘HELP’, no one came. Then Sparkle heard paw steps. It was Domino and she’d come to save Sparkle. Domino helped Sparkle out of the trap and banished Toby.

The Ghost 0f Marty - Riya Shaji brush his teeth, then went to bed. Soon Mum came up, kissed Charlie goodnight and turned off the light. passed away. But had unfortunately Charlie’s bedroom and tried to open it, but couldn’t. I thought at least I am getting better and today or appy new year! tomorrow I am going to be fine. I am more worried about not Today is new years day. This day is taking me to remember playing in the park because I have already experienced how the incident which happened this time last year. good is to spend time in the park. But there are children who On last new years eve I accidently knelt on a sewing needle where half of the needle pierced through and entered into my has never experienced this or them who got no hope that knee joint. On new years day I could not come out of bed be- they will be able to walk around or play with their friends. After few months I started going to church and when I saw this cause I had a swollen and painful knee. My mum took me to boy again on wheelchair it became more touching and I could hospital and when they x-rayed, they could see a needle sitimagine what is his life like. I never realised how lucky I am ting in the joint. being able to do my own things.

I have been taken to the operation theatre to get the needle Today on this new years day I remember all the children who out, unfortunately they failed to get the needle out from the cannot enjoy their life like normal children because of their front of my knee so they had to open the back of my knee to disabilities. retrieve the needle. Though the needle was taken out, my knee got badly infected. So I had to go for two more operations and I got stuck in the bed and wheelchair unable to stand or walk. In order to treat me with antibiotics they had to prick both my hands and legs. At the end they got fed up of pricking me and there were no place on my hands or legs to prick me anymore. So they decided to put a hick man line in me so that they don't have to prick me anymore. But the only problem was that I had to go to the operation theatre to get anaesthetised. In the beginning those lines were bit scary and freaky but they could treat me successfully with these lines. In those days I realised the difficulties of being stuck in bed and wheelchair. I could not reach my toys; I couldn't do anything without someone's help and I could not do what I want to do. I stayed in Hospital for more than a month and during this time they taught me how to take steps on crotches, it took another month for me to stand on my own. In those days I could hear the children playing in the park which is close to my house. I started to think I am missing all

Letter One Day in School - Reethu Shaji Amy Cooks Grove lane Harefield Middlesex QR5 8RT Mrs May Gate close Sheffield Hillingdon FD4 6QI Tuesday 15 December 2013 Dear Aunty May, I’ve been evacuated to Wales in the countryside for about two or three weeks. I was ever so lonely there, without anyone to play with. Luckily after one week I got evacuated back with Mum because Mr and Mrs Wilson (the adults who looked after me in Wales) had to go on holiday. I was very lucky unlike the other children who had been evacuated. I feel like I’m the most unfortunate child in the world. Do you know why? It’s because Samuel and Martin (brothers, as you know) both have to go into war and then something even worse, my Dad has to go into war as well. And now, I’m really scared if they will die or if they might be badly injured. When Mum broke out the bad news yesterday night, I was really cross, especially as no one had told me before. Today is yet another boring school day, in England with my Mum. Every single day when I go to school, I hear bombs bashing on the city, screaming and crying. It’s like I’m having a nightmare in a bad dream. Although I did go to school this morning with a happy face because a letter came from Dad telling my Mum and me that he was ok. As I went through the door and into the classroom, I looked and then saw that everyone was gone. Suddenly I heard an air raid siren, then I knew where everyone was. They were in the air raid shelter. So then I rushed to the end of the corridor. Unfortunately my school has an air raid shelter in the back garden, so you have to be very quick and careful not to get hit when you run to the air raid shelter. You also have to have a teacher with you when you do this. So the annoying thing is, that all the teachers were gone; they were all in the air raid shelter. And the problem was that I was a bit late for school today because the bus had gone when I reached the bus stop. So now I had to go by myself. I waited at the end of the corridor ready and when I thought it was the right time, I ran! I wasn’t lucky though because just when I reached the shelter a missile came rushing towards me. Luckily it didn’t crash into me but one of the sparks fell on my ankle. It was bleeding. Bleeding very, very badly. I tried to put my scarf on it, to stop the bleeding, but it just kept on bleeding through the scarf. I knew I had to get back into the shelter fast but I couldn’t because now there was blood rushing very quickly out of my ankle. I then tried to call for ‘HELP’ but no one came. I tried to crawl to the shelter but I couldn’t obviously because my ankle was bleeding. Then suddenly I heard footsteps, I heard two footsteps. By this time I was scared, because I thought it was the Nazis coming to take me. As they got closer I noticed that it was two British soldiers and then I noticed they were my own brothers, Samuel and Martin. I was so relieved! They both helped me up and sat me down with the other children and I said that I was so relieved to see them. They told me that they had crash landed after they had been hit, both at the same time. I asked them if they were ok; even though they were a bit bruised and hurt. In the end they got to stay at school with me because I was hurt, although we did have to go in and out the shelters, especially as today was one of the worst. When school was finished I walked home with my brothers and then when I got home, I saw Dad safe and sound. I was so happy and excited when I saw Dad. And Mum was really happy, as she didn’t know that Samuel and Martin was with me, safe. I hope you are safe and sound as well, and have a nice day (although there is a lot of bombing, I know). Dear David Cameron, I am asking for your help to stop youngsters (13-18) from using drugs in their life. There are many reasons why youngsters take drugs, such as: peer pressure, media, rebellion, escape and more. But all of these reasons have explanation to it, on why youngsters take drugs. Despite all the rules that are given out about drugs and lifestyles of young people, it is still simply the case that most youngster’s lives are centred on school, home and employment. Also most drugs used by youngsters contain alcohol and tobacco, and are often suggested as pleasurable rather than negative and damaging. Now I will be talking about the 5 main reasons why youngsters take drugs. First, and the most important reason is stress. ‘Stress’ for youngsters are usually seen in school. This is demonstrated by a recent study, which was carried out about ‘Partnership for Drug Free America’ this found out that 73% of teens named stress as their number one reason for using drugs. The second reason is ‘Social Acceptance or Low Self-Esteem’. Teenager’s self-worth depends on their approval of others, and their want for social acceptance. This can cause them to engage in destructive behaviours, even if they knew it could harm them. Besides it is proved by a study (2007 PATS Teens) which reported that 65% of teens use drugs to ‘feel cool’. The same study also revealed that 65% of teens use drugs to ‘feel better about themselves’. Teens who have low self-esteem will probably find acceptance from the wrong crowd by using drugs. The third reason is ‘self- medication’. Youngster’s years are tough, and many of them get unhappy and don’t know how to find a healthy cure to it. These emotions can lead up to depression or anxiety. In 2009 study told us that about 70% of teens suffer from undiagnosed clinical depression at some point in their life. Lots of youngsters are unaware that they have an underlying mental or mood disorder that causes them to use illegal or prescription drugs. The next reason is misinformation. Studies that are accomplished explain that teenagers are widely misinformed about the risks of drugs. 41% to be exact, wrongly believe that it is safer to abuse prescription drugs than illegal drugs. The last reason is easy access. One of the common reasons teens use drugs is they are easy to get. Almost 50% of teens told us that it is easy to get marijuana, 17% say it is easy to get meth and 14.4% say it is easy to get heroin. Nevertheless more than half, of teenagers say that it is easy to get prescription drugs instead of illegal drugs. Finally, I will be speaking about the different drugs youngsters take and how it effects them. Alcohol, tobacco, medicines and other drugs are very common. The greatest harm done is by alcohol and tobacco, this can even have long-term damage to the youngsters. There are also possible effects of using illegal drugs, for example: • Inability to think and behave appropriately • Being driven into bad people and places. • Getting caught up with criminal and justice system. • Putting self into dangerous infections by IV drug use. • Impact on future relationships, education and employment. It seems that the longer you don’t take drugs in young age, the less likely that a problem will develop. I hope you understood why youngsters take drugs and the effects caused by drugs. Documentary on Youth and Drugs Sebin Jose Satisfying our self with our needs and desires is a normal part of someone’s life. It is one of the skills that are being fine tuned during the teenage time. When a teen takes drugs it causes interference with the natural ability of feeling good. When someone is in their teens their brain starts to develop a bit unevenly from back to front. The parts of brain that develops first are those which control the physical coordination, emotion and motivation. The parts that control reasoning and impulses, known as the “Prefrontal Cortex” is more near to the front this means that it develops last, (Prefrontal Cortex does not fully mature until the age of 25). This will have a noticeable effect on the teen e.g. difficulty holding back or controlling emotions, poor planning and judgement (rarely thinking of the negative consequences), more risky and impulsive behaviours including experimenting on drugs and alcohol. In a wink the hormones of a teen can shift emotions into overdrive which could lead to unpredictable behaviour or actions. Unfortunately, because a teen’s brain is developing they are more prone to damage, this means experimentations with drugs or alcohol could lead to damage that lasts their entire life in either ways mentally or physically. Our brain is made up of billions of nerve cells. Nerves control everything that our body does and think. And they do this by sending electrical signals through our body. The messages that makes us feel good is called “dopamine” e.g. when we eat something tasty dopamine is produced to tell our body that we feel good and because of the satisfaction we get from eating ensures us that we don’t starve. All illegal drugs and alcohol increase the amount of dopamine that is being produced so it gives someone the good feeling. This is why people start getting addicted to drugs because when they take drugs they feel good and when they are not taking drugs their dopamine levels will be lower than usual so they feel tired and not very happy so they keep taking drugs to make them feel
good. As time goes on, they need more of the drug to make them feel the same high as before. Youths are influenced by their environment so if their families and friends are on drugs as well this influences them a lot. And if a teen decides to stop taking drugs, it may take some time for the nerves to restore the level of dopamine it may even take hours, days, or months even depending on the drugs that the teen was taking. The main type of teenagers who take are the ones who doesn't care about the future, its like as if they don't know or dont care of consequences that could lead to because of taking drugs. Teenagers also take drugs because of other reasons as well, for example their friends are taking drugs so you feel left out so you start taking it as well, his/her friends dont let them join in the group because they are not a drug taker or they think just because you take it you will be really cool and the most famous person in school. People who are addicted to drugs they think that, "why are people trying to tell me that drugs are not good, I can do what ever I want", but them being addicted to drugs is not just their problem it can also harm others. I am going to tell you a true story about a 20 year old girl named Jessica and she was addicted to drugs. Jessica’s Story: Jessica, a 20 year old college student, admitted to smoking marijuana and drinking with friends before she ran over and killed a jogger, a 46 year-old father of three, happily married with a successful career and good standing in his community as a volunteer at a local food bank. Jessica was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and negligent homicide. The judge sentenced Jessica to prison for 20 years. Her parents and many of her classmates wept in the courtroom.

Bought online There are three basic forms of drugs, raw plant (like cannabis and mushrooms), refined plant (like heroine and cocaine) and synthetic (like ecstasy and amphetamine). Plant-based drugs like heroin and cocaine tend to be produced in the areas where the opium and/or coca leaves grow because the plants need special conditions. But cannabis is effectively a weed and can grow anywhere including indoors, under strong lights without any soil. So while cannabis is still imported into the UK from North Africa, about 75% of the cannabis available in the UK is grown here. Most drugs that are imported into the UK are brought in by professional gangs and/or those working on their behalf like female drug ‘mules’ who are made to swallow drugs in condoms to bring them through ports and airports. Larger consignments come in container Lorries, boats, and small planes and even in the post. Some of the drugs that come into UK have routes such as: The main trafficking routes to the UK are: Cannabis – via Spain from North Africa Heroin – via Iran, Turkey and the Balkans from Afghanistan (where 90% of UK heroin comes from) Cocaine – via the Caribbean, Spain, Portugal, West Africa, Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. The Return of a Cat -Jovin Jose Once there was a boy called Jack.
He was ten years old and lived on Marshmallow Street in California. Every day, after school he would ask his parents for a pet, especially for a cat. On his birthday, he came back from school and was about to ask for a pet cat, when suddenly the front door bell rang and Jack went to look who was at the door, when he opened the door, surprised to see a cat on the door steps. It was a black cat with white fur in some places. He lowered down and gently said “Hello there, come here, aww you’re so cute and cuddly too. I think I’d call you.... Billy!” Jack gave him a stroke and Billy ran away into the living room and they soon became best friends. Every Saturday they would go outside to the park and have a little walk around together. In the night they would go to the attic and look out to the night sky and stare at the twinkling stars. Then one day a group of street cats became really jealous of Billy because he had an owner who loved him very much, so that they decided to play a prank on him. The setup was easy but the prank was nasty. Jack went to school that day the street cats persuaded Billy to come out with them for a meal. Billy went out with them and they went quite far, far enough to make sure that he didn’t know his way back. Then they had a very nice meal but the street cats had added sleeping pills in to Billy’s meal. When they went a bit further the cats said, “Go ahead, we will catch up to you. We are tired.” They were near a trash can. The cats watched Billy as he got sleepier and sleepier and eventually he fell on the ground. The street cats picked him up and threw in the trash can. The next day, Jack was coming back from school and all the street cats threw water balloons at him, it came from the top of a building but when he looked up there wasn’t anyone
there he thought to himself ,“ Who could that have been.” The water was excruciatingly freezing. He walked home, drenched. He got in to the house and shouted “anyone home?” and no reply there was no one at home, his parents were at work and his sister was in after school piano class. Most of the day, Jack would come back from school and no one would be at home but his mum would have made something for Jack to eat. He called Billy but he didn’t come, he searched the house but he was nowhere to be seen, at first he thought he just went out to have some fresh air so he didn’t worry that much at first, but he never came back. From then on every Friday, he would come back, drenched by the water balloons and never told anyone about it. Every day after school he goes and cries because poor Billy his beloved pet and best friend was lost. Then one day, Billy came back, Jack joyfully said “Billy you’re back! Where were you?” “Meow” said Billy. “You’re quite smelly” said Jack. “But I’m glad you’re back Billy. Let’s give you a wash shall we?” As Jack realised what happened to Billy, he decided to find somebody to adopt the street cats too. A few days later the street cats got owners and everyone was happy.

My trip to Poole - ASHWIN SIBI On 30th August 2013 we were going on a holiday to Poole. Poole is a large coastal town as well as a seaport and is located in the south coast of England in the county of Dorset. I've heard that Poole park is one of the most popular attraction in Poole so I was looking forward to it a lot. The park was opened during the Victorian era and has still remained very popular. When I woke up I saw my dad ironing clothes. I didn't really want to go but my family was , so I had to. I got dressed and went down stairs. When I put my shoes on , my dad asked me to carry some luggage to the car. One of them was too heavy so I gave that to my elder brother Arun and got another one , it was so annoying. When we packed everything we got into the car and started our journey. When we got into the motorway , I saw a wire coming out of my brothers ears , when I pulled it , an MP3 player came out . I got a bit angry and had an argument with him , so I could have the MP3 player. After a while my dad gave us a row and my brother said it was my fault but I just fake laughed to get him annoyed and I reckon that did the job. My dad said I could have the I-pad to listen to music instead. When we got to the house we saw two children and their grandparents standing in the doorway .They greeted us into the house . All the ladies went to the kitchen to talk ( I don't know why but they always do.)and all the men stayed on one side of the living room so I felt quite lonely with my brother. Surprisingly the two children came and asked us if we wanted to play hide and seek so I said yes because there was nothing else to play. The next morning I woke up and went downstairs to have breakfast. After eating food , my dad told me to go and get ready because we were going to the beach. We went on the bus to the beach. It was a really sunny day on the beach. I went into the water and it was freezing , but after a while I got used to it. I had a swimming race with my brother and he said he won but I'm pretty sure that I smashed him. After I got bored in the beach.
I emptied my shoes of sand and went back to the bus stop. We took another bus to the air show and started walking to a different beach to watch the air show. On our way , we saw a theme park and me and my brother were begging my mum to go to the theme park. My mum obviously said no , so we kept on walking. After we ate an amazing chocolate ice-cream with flake , we walked to the beach and boy it was crowded , there was at least 300 people there to watch the air show. So we had to stand outside the beach to watch the air show. To be fair it was a pretty small beach. We saw the red arrows making lots of shapes and the last bit they made a heart in the sky. Then we saw a miss demeanour plane and it was really , really fast! My dad said it went about 550mph. Now that was cool! After that had gone , people started to jump off aeroplanes , I would never do that because I'm really scared of heights. We got at the beach quite late, so it had already finished and I was quite disappointed to hear that because I was enjoying it. On our way back to the bus stop we saw a massive park and then I recognised it was Poole park , so we stopped by to spend some time there. When we went in I could see a large pond with lots of ducks and Swans. It is a beautiful place. The leaves on the trees were very bright green. It was an unforgettable moment. I also went on the swings and the other equipment there. We took lots of photos and had lots of fun. We had to go back to our bus stop. We went back home on a bus. When we got there , we had tea and then played snap , but everyone kept on cheating. They kept on arguing about who touched the cards first. I got quite bored of that game so I stopped playing. I was really tired so I went to sleep. When I woke up I packed all our clothes and started to get ready to go home. When I went downstairs everyone was taking photos , so I joined in as well. I got quite annoyed with them because they took like a million photos. Finally , they stopped taking photos. My family got in the car and waved bye to them. I had lots of fun in Poole and I'm looking forward to the next time we go there. Poole is a brilliant place .

It has been said about internet which shows how much this electronic phenomenon has influenced our daily life. The internet has been using widely after 1995 after the ARPANET of 1960 s was replaced by Internet in 1990s. The business world was overjoyed by the internet's graphical interface WWW(World Wide Web) which was founded by the British computer scientist, Sir Tim Berness-Lee in 1991. As it made them much inexpensive to reach to the common public with their business products thereby saving a lot of money and energy. Now it is an inevitable part of our life right from communication to studies, jobs, business and social life. It is interesting to note that about 96% of internet users uses internet everyday and around 60% uses social media as per a global internet users' survey conducted by Internet Society. The use of internet has made our life easier as most of our needs are met and dealt with a 7" tablet or with a smart phone. The communication plays the vital part of existence of a human being and a lion share of this is being done through internet. People's contact has been rapidly and steadily increased since the arrival of social networking sites such as facebook in 2004. Innovative technology and research is paving the way for the invention of sophisticated gadgets and equipments, and as a result, the growth rate in the internet usage is progressing every day. Now a person's daily life start with surfing internet for facebook and other such social networking sites in the morning to look for any updates/notification. Internet has been playing a vital role in the area of research and education. Even the students/children can access/obtain data required for their day to day studies without referring journals/books thereby saving a great amount of time and resources. Internet search engines like Google provides us the answers for any queries/doubts surrounding the living world. It has always been helpful and useful for expatriates living abroad to be in touch with their close relatives and friends back in their home country . Years ago, one had to write let-
ters which was sent by post and the same would have taken a long time to reach to the dear ones far away in a different countries. Apparently, this person had to wait desperately for weeks and months to receive a reply or information from the other end of the world. Of course, the subsequent arrival of landline phone helped them to certain extent to solve this communication gap although it was quite inconvenient in the beginning. But the invention of mobile phones was an answer to that inconvenience but still conversation was easily possible. However, now you can see them and talk to them straight away if you have an internet connection in both ends without incurring a single penny thanks to the 'Skype'-a 'by-product' of internet. It is not only with the dear ones back in home countries but friends around the world also. As a population with migratory habit, we are very much obliged to the internet technology as a life without the same would have been much difficult both in financial terms and on emotional backgrounds. A fully protected house could not be a safer place any longer for you and your family. Cyber attacks and loosing personal datas has become very common now a days which leads us to frustration and hyper tensions. You may have to keep an eye always on your young children when they surf internet as misuse and abuse could take place any time on line. Story The Three Cats Adventure - Neha Suresh Once upon a time there lived three furry orange cats. They lived in a little cottage. One day they wanted to go to Antarctica, so they went to the airport. They accidentally went on the wrong aeroplane and went to one of the hottest countries in the world, Libya. It was too hot there, so they went to the airport again. This time they went to the coldest country in the world Russia. The oldest cat said let's play snowballs and that's exactly what hey did. They all agreed that they were going on an adventure. Next they went to Italy there they ate delicious yummy pizza with only cheese and pepperoni. After that they went back to England. They went to a grocery store to buy fish for tea. They went to Isle of White and Brighton. Then they went to a sweet shop and ate some melty chocolate. Then they went home for supper. Then went to the museum to see the bones of the dinosaur called T-Rex. In the museum the three cats saw a painting of dinosaurs from a long time ago.
