SPRING FEVER… Although it feels like winter will never end, the evenings are getting lighter and spring is definitely on its way. With the prospect of warmer weather just around the corner it’s a great time to be planning a wedding, and I hope that this supplement helps you to put together all the details of your big day. We travelled to Tracy Park in Wick for our cover shoot, where we enjoyed exploring the manor house and its beautiful grounds. Our brilliant team of local experts drew on the history and grandeur of the venue to create a spring wedding that is full of exquisite details. In the supplement we also look at options for your hen and stag parties, take a peep through the doors of some South West wedding venues, and are dazzled by an array of diamond bridal jewellery. And with Mothering Sunday coming up, we focus on those all-important members of the bridal party, the mothers of the bride and groom, with inspiration on how to look chic and stylish on the top table.

FolioWeddings Tracy Park provided a range of stunning backdrops for our shoot

T

he history and grandeur of our venue, Tracy Park in Wick, was the inspiration for Folio’s spring wedding photo special. Classic, elegant and regal, it provided a gorgeous backdrop for the perfect spring wedding day. We included a few modern touches in our homage to the past to ensure that our recreated wedding offered plenty of choice for real life brides and grooms. With the lovely Kasha and Luke as our happy couple for the day, we set about showcasing the some of the most exciting services that the West’s wedding suppliers have to offer.

The venue

With its warm, honey coloured stone, sweeping grounds and sumptuous interior, Tracy Park is a fantastic place to say “I do”. This Jacobean manor is set in beautiful Cotswold country but is just 10 minutes from Bath and 20 minutes from Bristol, meaning it’s easily accessible for you and your guests. There are three licensed rooms for ceremonies in the manor, which can cater for 10 to 90 guests. After exchanging vows, guests can enjoy the views of the park from the terrace alongside a glass or two of Champagne. For that all-important post ceremony meal, the magnificent Park Room is available for up to 110 people, with its huge windows ensuring a bright atmosphere any time of year. If you’re looking for a smaller, more intimate space, the Mahogany Room can seat up to 24 people. The venue has the added bonus of onsite accommodation for which wedding guests can take advantage of a special rate. After a rejuvenating night’s sleep you can sample a delicious and hearty full English breakfast followed by a walk in the grounds: the perfect ending to a great wedding. The photographer With Simon Webb from Blue Skies

Photography documenting your wedding, you can expect a creative approach, with lots of interesting shots using natural light. “I try to get brides and grooms climbing a tree, rather than just posing in front of it,” he says. For Simon, every wedding is different, and he enjoys the creative portraiture as well as the more stage-managed group shots. “While I plan a certain number of the images, I like reacting to a situation,” he says. “Sometimes unexpected things happen at a wedding and I love to be on hand to tell the wedding story in an artful way.” Simon has a background in fine art, and draws inspirations for his photography from his love of light and composition, such as paintings by Dutch Old Masters. “There’s something about the light in these pictures that I try and emulate in my photography.” He cites his photographic influences as Andre Kertesz and Cartier Bresson. Simon also feels that his former profession as a drummer in a band helps him with timing and being able to pick the moment. He takes photographs quickly as well, which is perfect when you want to mingle with your guests. For our photo shoot, Simon enjoyed exploring the nooks and crannies of Tracy Park, as he likes using spaces people wouldn’t normally consider as the backdrop to a photo. He also felt the dresses, hair and make-up worn by Kasha really suited the venue and the theme of the shoot. “Plus there was some seriously elegant jewellery!” Blue Skies Photography 132 Church Road, Redfield, Bristol BS5 9HH. The outfits

Bristol bridal supplier Anne Harding provided both gowns and groom’s wear for our special day. Bursting with nuptial inspiration, Anne Harding gives brides the option of hiring, designing or buying your wedding dress. With designers including Justin Alexander, Essense and Sincerity, any bride will be dazzled by the range of dresses available, all underpinned by folio/spring 2012 5

excellent customer service, friendly advice and after-sales support. The first dress Kasha wore was style D910 by Essense and featured lace over soft crushed taffeta. The A-line skirt was sprinkled with beaded flowers, and the delicate overskirt spread out to create a puddle train. Our second dress was by Bridal Buyer’s designer of the year 2011, Justin Alexander, and carried on our lace theme. With its empire line, scalloped edge bodice and delicate ribbon belt with crystal brooch, style 8531 was the perfect complement for our historical theme. The lace jacket included with the dress means you’ll be warm yet still stylish if April showers strike. Third on was another Justin Alexander creation, style 8555 which was the unanimous favourite of everyone. One member of the team told Kasha, “If I was your mother, I’d be crying right now!” The crisp, flared skirts were complemented with a short lace overskirt that continued up the bodice to create a high neckline and the addition of long white gloves helped to give the dress an old fashioned feel. With Kasha looking this good, we had to ensure Luke was a worthy groom and wearing a well-fitting, tailored morning suit from Anne Harding certainly achieved this. The classic look of the suit makes it a perennial favourite with grooms who want to look timeless and stylish on their wedding day. Lee from Anne Harding reports that grey is definitely the colour for spring 2012. “Our grey suits are flying off the shelves right now,” he says.

Accessories are a great way to inject some individuality and we used coloured waistcoats and cravats to create a few different looks for Luke. We chose colours that tied in with the flowers in delicious hues of mint green, sherbet pink and Cadbury purple. It’s not just the bride and groom who will benefit from a trip to Anne Harding. The shop stocks a range of bridesmaid dresses including the award-winning Dessy range, as well as a range of men’s suits and other formal wear, so it’s a one stop shop for all of your bridal party. The hair and make-up

Sophia Cox has many talents. Before becoming a professional hair and make-up artist, she trained as an illustrator and her background in fine art stands her in good stead when she’s designing hair and looks for brides to be. “Make-up is like illustration on people,” she explains. For our shoot, Sophia created a subtle, pretty English rose look with a period feel for both the make-up and hair. She started by applying a pale base colour by MAC, one shade lighter than Kasha’s skin, and touching up any blemishes with concealer. She then used a highlighter to create a healthy glow on the cheeks and nose, before finishing off with translucent MAC prep and prime powder all over. To give Kasha a flush of colour, Sophia applied Benefit blusher in a rose pink shade just on the apples of the cheeks. To complement this she kept the eyes quite natural with a pale pink eyeshadow and false lashes to make the eyes look bigger, before adding a beauty spot below the eye for a period look. The hair was set in heated rollers to make it smooth and add volume. It was then pinned up with curls on top, while some sections were left down and curled for a modern take on a period style.

professional yet friendly manner. When they’re not getting married in the Cotswolds, Kasha is studying to become a PE teacher, doing her PGCE at Bath Spa, while Luke is a sales manager for a fitness company. As they had previously worked together, they had an immediate on-camera chemistry. Although it was her first foray into wearing wedding dresses, Kasha was instantly smitten with this type of gown. Her favourite was the tea length Justin Alexander. “It has the real wow factor!” she exclaimed. It was also the first time Luke had worn a morning suit, and while he told us that he has no plans to get married, we know that his girlfriend will be impressed that he looks so dashing. The jewellery

Using gold, silver, diamonds and other precious stones, Bristol jeweller John Titcombe made sure Kasha and Luke were truly dazzling for their special day. John Titcombe believes that shopping for your wedding jewellery should be a pleasure from start to finish. With excellent customer service and advice, as well as the luxurious touch of an onsite bar where you can indulge in a glass of bubbly, buying your engagement and wedding jewellery from this shop will certainly be an experience you won’t forget. The flowers

At first glance, there’s nothing unusual about the flowers used by Bath-based company Vermont to create our lovely bouquets, buttonholes and centrepieces. But you may be surprised to find out that these beautiful blooms are, in fact, frozen. Vermont has patented a unique and natural way of preserving flowers that also retains their original suppleness, brightness and shape. Your 10 folio/spring 2012

flowers will stay looking as fresh as the day they were picked for up to eight years, meaning that you will still be enjoying them long after the wedding cake has been eaten and the photo albums put on the bookshelf. The Vermont showroom in Bath has over 500 designs which include wedding bouquets and table décor as well as topiaries and sculptures. The company can also create bespoke designs in the colours of your choice. Another advantage of this type of flower is the absence of sneeze-inducing allergens. One of our team has a pollen allergy which is usually triggered by roses, but after a day of being next to Vermont’s flowers there was no need for a handkerchief, making them the perfect accessory for a bride or groom who usually starts sniffing within ten feet of a stamen. The car

Every bride and groom need a special car for their special day, and our shoot was no exception. Providing a modern twist for our classic theme, the sleek, modern silver S Class Mercedes limo from Bristol Wedding Cars provided a great contrast to the old-fashioned grandeur of Tracy Park. On such a chilly day its heated seats were most welcome. Bristol Wedding Cars provides a range of Mercedes cars that will ensure you and your guests are transported in style. This includes E-class and S-class saloons plus larger Viano

people carriers for bigger wedding parties. Mike from Bristol Wedding Cars is a firm believer that excellent customer service is at the heart of the company’s success. “As well as providing great cars, we guarantee our drivers will be smartly dressed, polite and punctual,” he says. Bristol Wedding Cars’ bespoke planning service will ensure everything runs like clockwork and you all end up where you need to be in good time – definitely no risk of keeping your groom waiting at the altar! The cake

Clifton Cakes’ wonderful creation certainly added a splash of colour to our shoot. The four-tiered dark chocolate wedding cake was iced in funky shades of green, pink and orange, with cascading silk roses, orchids and peonies. Proprietor Frances Cooley and her team have been working from Frances’ Clifton home kitchen for 10 years to make couture cakes for every occasion. Whatever your idea or theme, Clifton Cakes can make a cake to match it. Beauty is also more than skin deep, as these creations taste as fabulous as they look. And it’s not just cakes: the company also makes delicious chocolates, including a range of shoes and handbags, which would make fun favours or great gifts for your bridesmaids. How I dressed your Mother Helen Dorritt looks at what the stylish mother of the bride will be wearing this season

I

t’s the day you’ve dreamed of for years, the day you’ve been thinking about with sweet anticipation, the day you’ve been meticulously planning your outfit for… no, not you, brides, we’re talking about your mothers. The bride and groom will certainly take centre stage on a wedding day, but there will be plenty of attention on the rest of the bridal party. So the mother of the bride (and in this term we also include the mother of the groom) has a difficult role. She wants to be at her best in a fabulous outfit that will look good in the photos, but she also knows that she can’t upstage her daughter or daughter-in-law. There’s also a fine line to tread between being labelled mutton dressed as lamb, and being mistaken for the bride’s grandmother. It’s easy to get bogged down in bridal traditions, such as the idea that the mother of the bride should co-ordinate with the colour scheme. In today’s more relaxed, anything-goes, mix of old and new style wedding, there’s certainly no need to observe this. When I got married, there was no question of either my mother or mother-in-law having to consult with me about what they could and couldn’t wear. As long as they were happy with their outfits, I didn’t care what colour they were – I just wanted them to look and feel at their best on such a happy day. (And I can confirm that both of them looked fabulous.) Google “mother of the bride outfit”, however, and it can be hard to see past a sea of pastel two pieces with same-colour embroidery on the lapel. Just because you’re the mother of the bride doesn’t mean you want something frumpy and outdated. “The bridal industry has recognised and related to the new modern bride who wants to be unique, stylish and memorable, but when it comes to her mother, we’re still stuck in the past,” says Kate from Carina Baverstock Couture. “These days, she’s more than just the mother of the bride. She is often a successful career woman, with a fabulous figure and a great sense of style and flair. Today’s mother of the bride doesn’t want to wear these standard ruched floral outfits in pinks and blues.”

Mothers of the bride can rejoice, because renowned wedding designer Sassi Holford has branched out from wedding dresses and is debuting her new Mother of the Bride collection with Carina Baverstock Couture this spring. Sassi’s reputation as a designer guarantees luxurious, elegant clothes that are not only memorable, but also well tailored to ensure the best fit and hang. Another bonus to this range is that it can be worn again, with different accessories, making it a shrewd investment. The collection also includes statement hats and other accessories to ensure any mother of the bride is photogenic. Think outside the box, too, when picking your outfit. Dessy is a designer commonly associated with bridesmaids, but why not consider its dresses for your outfit? The Social and Lela Rose ranges, available at bridal shop Anne Harding, feature fabulous, figure enhancing frocks in beautiful fabric. The LR 164 may have an unimaginative name but with its cowl neck and ruched inset midriff it will ensure you look elegant without upstaging your daughter. All Dessy dresses come in a wide range of colours, so you are also guaranteed to find a hue that works for you. You can also take inspiration from the catwalks and look to the spring/summer 2012 trends to ensure you’re bang up to date with your outfit. There are two key styles from this season that translate well into mother of the bride looks. The first is the flashback to the 1920s: beaded dresses, sequins and metallic clutches, all of which work perfectly for a wedding outfit. The second trend is pastels – although not the usual bilious pinks and blues. Take inspiration instead from a stack of macaroons, with shades of pistachio green, pale turquoise, heather and lemon yellow. One word of warning: if you do opt for this look, don’t go down the traditional MOB route of picking your handbag, shoes and hat in the same shade. Accessories should either be in contrasting hues or in neutral shades of brown, in order to break up the sweetness. Classy, chic and timeless? You’re all set. Now all you have to do is not forget your handkerchief...

Diamond set wedding bands by John Titcombe, £POA

Rock solid

With the Queen celebrating her Diamond Jubilee, these gemstones are enjoying more popularity than ever. Louise Jarndyce looks at ways to put some sparkle into your wedding

W

ith all the Diamond Jubilee celebrations happening this year, diamonds are big news right now. They are very versatile gemstones, as well as being incredibly durable, which is what makes them so popular for use in wedding jewellery. After all, if someone’s pledging eternal love to you, it’s great to be wearing a stone that will last as long! The huge range of colours that diamonds come in, from clear through to yellow, pink and even black, also means that there are endless ways to use them in jewellery. And if you’re worried about the ethics around diamonds, you’ll be pleased to know that more and more jewellers are ensuring those they sell are certified conflict-free through the Kimberley Process or come from ethical sources in countries such as Canada. Just ask your jeweller and they will be happy to discuss this in more depth. If you’re about to go down on one knee and present your partner with an engagement ring, then diamonds are the go-to stone. Because they can be displayed in so many ways, from a traditional solitaire to more unusual clusters, and cut in so many ways – baguette, emerald, princess – you will be spoilt for choice. It’s always worth asking the experts for their opinion, so a trip to John Titcombe Jewellers in Clifton Village is recommended. The company specialises in diamond engagement rings and has an impressive array, from sparkling solitaires to three stone rings, guaranteed to make anyone say “I do!” If, however, you’re after something a little less traditional for that velvet box moment, Diana Porter has a set of three 18 carat yellow gold and white diamond rings that can either be worn alone or stacked on top of each other. Clifton Rocks also sells an unusual yellow gold cups ring set with diamonds, a definite talking point when showing off your ring. There is also the option of accompanying

it with a matching wedding band. As well as their use in the question-popping moment, diamonds are becoming increasingly popular in wedding bands. John Titcombe sells a range of diamond-set bands, ranging from the inclusion of one or two discreet stones to full on bling. And it’s not just for the ladies: men’s diamond rings are also available. They look particularly effective against matte metals such as platinum. When it comes to jewellery to wear on your wedding day, diamonds are incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of ways to accessorise your outfit. You can use them as showstoppers in their own right, or as a discreet yet sparkly complement to enhance gems such as pearls. For example, the lustre of the South Sea pearls in John Titcombe’s necklace is magnified by a delicate cascading filigree of 31 round brilliant diamonds. The diamonds also take a back seat to bring out the beauty of the rough-cut silver in Tamara Gomez’s diamond and silver earrings (£80, from Diana Porter), which would look great peeping out from under a misty veil. Or for the gents, a pair of diamonds cufflinks such as Clifton Rocks’ oxidised cufflinks with black diamonds (£140) will provide a discreet touch of sparkle to enhance your suit. Of course, you can also let diamonds take centre stage with a dramatic statement piece, such as a chunky bracelet with clusters of stones or a bold necklace. Clifton Rocks sells a stunning yellow gold and diamond necklace that would beautifully enhance a v-necked or strapless dress – the sleek curves of its pendant are the perfect setting for the round cut brilliant diamond. However and wherever you wear them, you can be sure that diamonds will make your wedding a jubilee too. 18 carat yellow gold cups wedding and engagement ring by Clare Chandler at Clifton Rocks, £POA

A heavenly mansion

e are blessed with miles of stunning coastline, acres of gorgeous countryside, and a huge selection of historic architecture in the South West. So when it comes to planning your wedding it’s worth spending time researching your options. After all, you may not have realised you wanted to wed in that idyllic waterside Cornish haven or recite “I do” on a nationally renowned stage.

The beautiful Old Down Manor, located on a 66 acre South Gloucestershire estate, promises exactly the fairytale wedding you would expect from a privately owned manor house. Old Down offers complete flexibility when planning your day, allowing you to tailor it to your exact needs as you give free rein to your creativity. The manor has recently been the subject of a £5 million restoration and ceremonies are now hosted in the newly built Orangery, which overlooks the Victorian rose garden and the panoramic countryside beyond. In such a popular location, booking your wedding on the perfect Saturday slot can sometimes be difficult - there are only 52 per year to go around – so, in answer to many couples’ problems, Old Down Manor also offers a special mid-week wedding package. All the world’s a stage Ever dreamed of getting hitched on stage? Well, that’s a possibility now, in the South West’s premier music venue, Colston Hall, which has been given the go-ahead to become a registered wedding venue. The hall has now opened its doors for the first time to couples looking for an impressive and unique location for their big day and has some extraordinary spaces available for weddings, combining the stunning features of the old building and the ultra-modern design of the new foyer. Couples have the option of either making their rock star fantasies come alive on the main stage or selecting a light and airy setting with panoramic views of Bristol on the third floor terrace. Newly appointed sales and conferences manager Naomi Easy says, “Colston Hall has some really dramatic spaces available to hire and, with our in-house event management skills, we can give couples a flexible, tailored and personal experience. From small, intimate ceremonies to larger weddings with over 500 guests, we are able to offer something really unique and different.” Colston Hall 13 Colston Street, Bristol BS1 5AR. Nestled in the rolling North Somerset hills, mid-way between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare, stands DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House. Boasting stunning views across the South West countryside and the Bristol Channel, and with such a historic 19th century house contrasting so elegantly with a modern four-star hotel, the setting couldn’t lend itself better to a glamorous celebration. A dedicated wedding coordinator will be on hand to help couples achieve the right look and setting for the big day. Whether it’s cars, makeup, hair or accommodation, Cadbury House can cater for all needs, and make your day truly represent you. There’s even a thatched gazebo for those wishing to get hitched in a gorgeous British alfresco ceremony in the sunshine (fingers crossed!) The hotel’s general manager Colin Badcock says, “The moment people approach the hotel from the winding, tree-lined drive they fall in love with the venue. The breathtaking views create the perfect backdrop for photos on the big day and we have lots of packages and rooms to choose from.” Situated only minutes from the M5, and close to Bristol airport, Cadbury House is also a convenient location for guests travelling from locations near and far. The college offers this stunning setting on an exclusive basis, so make the most of it, explore the grounds with your guests and find some fabulous scenes – whether intimate nooks and crannies or aweinspiring halls – in which to create some truly distinctive shots. Going out

he stag do. The hen party. They’re your big goodbye as you leave single life behind and prepare to say those all important “I dos”, so naturally they need to be not only out-of-this world special but also something that you will truly enjoy. All too often hen and stag dos involve jet-setting off to Prague or Budapest for a weekend full of shots and sunshine, or to Barcelona or Milan for a girly weekend of shopping and cocktails. But one of the problems with this type of send-off into married life is the cost. We all know in the current economic climate people are tightening their belts, and the wedding industry has not managed to escape unscathed. So why fork out hundreds, possibly thousands of pounds for what is essentially a series of drunken nights, meaning you have to skimp on the details for the wedding itself? Spend your money wisely, as there’s plenty of fun to be had close to home. Hen parties often to choose to visit the clichés with karaoke and martinis. Not that there’s anything wrong with that - I have been known to do a pitch-perfect rendition of ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ after too much free flowing wine, but my ideal hen party would be something completely indulgent such as being pampered to perfection at a spa resort with my nearest and dearest. Complete relaxation is what’s needed after the stress of wedding planning and a massage accompanied by the clink of champagne glasses will un-tense those knots. Cedar Falls health farm offers such relaxation within its seventeenth century red stone mansion, located in the rolling Somerset hills. For a hen party (or stag do, men need to relax too!), the spa offers breaks or day packages to restore radiance and rejuvenate you for the big day. You will be treated like royalty by staff and receive unlimited access to the spa facilities and fitness classes on offer. Specialist therapists help you choose your own bespoke treatment package including hot stone therapies and facials. There is also a specially discounted treatment of the month on offer. Seeing as your hen or stag do are all part of the biggest celebration of your life, what better place to enjoy it than in a world-class resort? The Vale Resort in Cardiff is nestled within 650 acres of gorgeous Welsh countryside, and boasts the largest luxury spa facility in Wales. It offers both stag and hens a range of different options and with such a

Whether you opt for a relaxed pampering break or try out a new sport, the West Country has a great range of hen & stag activities

selection to choose from, I’m glad it’s a decision I’m not making any time soon. For absolute relaxation, there’s the Spa Retreat package which includes an hour and a half of spa treatments in your own private area of the spa, with the added girly bonus of fizz and sweet treats to keep your taste buds content while your body and mind relax. As well as being pampered, the Vale Resort knows how much we girls love chocolate, and offers a completely indulgent chocolate package which includes a hands-on chocolate making session. I’m watering at the mouth just thinking of it! If that seems a little too tame, then the resort also offers the opportunity to experience an adrenaline packed 2 hour white water rafting session. It’s not exactly a massage, but it may be more therapeutic than you think. There are also many other options for both stags and hens, ranging from golf sessions to activity based days involving quad biking, clay pigeon shooting, archery, off road driving and air gun shooting. All the stag and hen packages include luxury four-star accommodation, use of the resort’s extensive leisure facilities and meals throughout your stay. If you’re still not sure quite what you want to do, then Chillisauce specialises in event organisation and offers the chance to create a bespoke party. It takes care of planning the whole weekend, from transport, activities, hotels, entry to nightclubs and restaurants. James Baddiley, founder and CEO of the company, explains the process. “Customers go on our website and get an idea of what may interest them, then they can discuss it further and really nail down the planning with one of our event organisers. All of our event managers regularly go out to our destinations and do all the activities so they can provide first-hand knowledge.” Chillisauce has

some great ideas such as cocktail making sessions and perfume creation for the hens, and grey hound racing or surfing for stag weekends. The website is a goldmine for those looking to make their celebration really special. With all this on offer just on your doorstep, you can cancel those flights and keep it local. The problem now is narrowing it down to one weekend!

I love your smile Dress? Check. Accessories? Check. Dazzling smile? Errr… A lot of thought and planning goes into what you wear on your wedding day, so why not think about how you’d like to wear your smile too? One of the most important things for every bride on her wedding day is to feel completely wonderful - not just on the outside, but on the inside too. Confidence is the unseen magic ingredient in every bride’s ensemble, but possibly plays the biggest part. And if you know your smile is as bright as it can be, you’re sure to both look and feel your most confident ever. Bright White Smiles offers 100% non-peroxide premium laser teeth whitening treatments in its clinics in Bath, Bristol and Cardiff. Both on the day and in the photographs you’ll look at for years to come, you’ll be pleased you invested in looking your absolute best. The company has special offers for group bookings, so why not ask your groom and bridesmaids if they’d like to join you in a bright white smile. Move over Jennifer Lopez With so much to organise in preparation for your wedding, it can seem overwhelming to plan everything yourself. Enlisting the help of a professional will take the stress out of the run-up to the big day and ensures you can relax and enjoy the celebrations when they come around. Bristol-based wedding planner Christine Alecci promises to work closely with you to create the hassle-free wedding of your dreams. Christine offers full planning in which, after an initial free consultation, a complete package is created to suit your needs and most importantly, your budget. Christine can cover every aspect of the wedding, from generating ideas for themes and colour schemes, to suggesting ideal venues and sourcing suppliers. According to Christine, it’s

often in the last six weeks that things start to fall apart, as the happy couple realises that there are still many fine details to sort out. With this in mind, she also offers partial planning for those who have already begun organising their wedding and become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of organisation, or have reached hurdles they just can’t see a way around, such as problems with suppliers or maintaining budget restrictions. She can also offer a variety of smaller services including guest list management and on the day co-ordination, meaning you can sit back after all your planning and hand the reins over to Christine who will guarantee your day is special, enjoyable and stress free for all. Catering to your every need If you want something a bit different for your wedding meal than a plate of salmon followed by strawberries, Eat5star prides itself on being Bath’s most creative and exciting caterer. Since 2008 the company has been continually satisfying clients across the Somerset area at some of the region’s finest venues, such as the Guildhall in Bath, and its reputation for fine dining and first class service is second to none. Absolutely fabulous To ensure you look your best on the day and in the photographs afterwards, why not consider treating yourself to some facial treatments in the run up to the big day? The Orangery in Bath offers a range of simple, safe, noninvasive procedures, including the Jan Marini glycolic peel. This is a great route to improving the condition of your skin without the need to take time off work or play. Representing the very best pioneering technological advances in skin care, these “lunch time peels” work in conjunction with Jan Marini’s renowned skin care management system. Glycolic acid loosens the “glue-like” attachments or cellular cement that is characteristic of many skin condi-

tions such as ageing, acne, skin discolouration and coarse texture. After just a few weeks your skin looks brighter and clearer and dry skin becomes hydrated and smooth. This facial procedure will also resurface the skin giving dramatically softer, smoother texture, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and reducing scarring. With treatments able to be slotted in around your busy schedule, this is a quick and fabulously effective way to look your absolute best for your wedding.
