In this magazine, my goal is to portray British Columbia as an artistic haven. The colours on the cover page, body pages and all the way to the last page are colour modified with lower saturation to convey a calm and quiet atmosphere. The technique I've mostly used in this magazine relies heavily on the dynamic tension between the characters in the photographs and the typographic elements. As an endnote, I used a photograph of a woman staring through a glass window towards Vancouver city while drinking a cup of coffee. My plan is to use these elements (the reflection on her window and the cup of coffee) to portray a lasting impression that she is sheltered and living comfortably in BC.
