Our goal has always been to create pieces that are minimalist yet impactful, functional yet artistic.

Our latest collection embodies a refined and distilled aesthetic, grounded in an exploration of form and material. Steel, increasingly favoured in our hearts, brings beauty and strength, enduring quality to our pieces.

The Outline series, born from a desire for minimal yet essential spaces that encourage forward-thinking and outward-looking perspectives, includes a desk, chair, and bar chair. Each piece showcases craftsmanship and humility with architectural clarity and grace. The series understated details reveal themselves upon closer inspection, enhancing its minimalist, airy aesthetic. This makes the Outline series versatile, easily fitting into various interior design styles. Comprising FSC®-certified wood and steel rectangles, the series embodies the visual harmony at the heart of Kristina Dam Studio’s ethos of Sculptural Minimalism.

Axis Side Table

The design language of the Axis Side Table is not about portability or the typical visual and physical lightness. It is the result of an experiment in balancing permeability withconcealment. The design comprises geometrical shapes that form a solid, timeless side table, drawing references from the classic bar trolley. This sturdy piece of furniture, with its expressive wheels, transforms the side table into a movable object. Its clean construction possesses an architectural and sculptural expression, showcasing the warmth of the wood.

The Collector series is informed by the notion that real connection is formed when the framing of the conversation, the meeting, and the meal is just right. The table and chairs in this collection are crafted with attention to minimalistic serenity and a timeless aesthetic.

The refined details and honest craftsmanship make for a line of honest and inviting furniture.

The Solitude Lounge Chair possesses a minimalist, distinct aesthetic with strong references to the geometries seen in the Bauhaus movement. Featuring uniquely offset armrests, the Solitude Chair combines form and function in its design. These armrests are not just an aesthetic choice; they invite various comfortable seating positions, including lounging with legs draped over the lower armrest, redefining the concept of a lounge chair. Crafted from a coarsewoven Italian Bouclé in grey and beige, it contrasts elegantly with its stainless-steel frame. A true statement piece, the Solitude Chair epitomizes a fusion of art and design, offering both visual appeal and comfort.

The Bauhaus tradition emphasises form following function. At Kristina Dam Studio, we embrace this ideology of simplicity while maintaining our commitment to an inherent sculptural quality in every piece of furniture we design. The Bauhaus series is characterised by perfectly arched backrests, circle-shaped tables, and the subtle embellishment of a perforated grid. The durable powder coated galvanized steel makes the collection suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, in private homes as well as in cafés, restaurants, and urban spaces.

Inspired by the Japanese design tradition and the incense boxes of the Edo era, Kristina Dam Studio has envisioned a Scandinavian take on versatile tray tables. Three sizes, multiple functions, one clean look. Our tables and trays are handcrafted in FSC®-certified oak and treated with oil. The trays are now also available in a beautiful oiled smoked oak.

Serif Relief

The Serif Relief focus our attention on elements of Kristina Dam Studio’s early illustrations. An interplay between form, material and light is created on the wall and adds an interesting depth to the room. The textured surfaces of the work enforce this magnetic effect, vivid and tactile, made from remnants of the textile industry by Indian women in a social project.

The sculptures were first created from plaster by hand and then re-created in more precious, durable sandstone. The result is organic shapes that are both engaging and charmingly exaggerated. Oru Loom Rugs

Inspired by the traditional Japanese Tatami mat, the Oru Loom Rugs are expressive, minimalistic pieces of high quality. These rugs create a calm and clean frame within interiors, making them ideal for lounge areas. ’Oru’, the Japanese word for ’weave’, perfectly describes the creation process. 3 Days of Design

At the historic corner building on Højbro Plads in central Copenhagen, constructed in 1798, Kristina Dam Studio hosted its annual exhibition during 3 Days of Design in 2023. This iconic venue, The Vintage Bar, known for its premium and luxury fashion, provided a stunning backdrop for the event. The exhibition showcased Kristina Dam’s latest designs and original sculptures, offering visitors a multi-sensory experience steeped in history and contemporary artistry.

With ’Sculptural Minimalism’ as the overarching theme, the exhibition comprised a series of rooms, each offering a unique interpretation of the theme and atmosphere. The sculptures and installations were carefully tailored to the space, each accentuating a particular design piece or artwork.

Kim Greenaa’s Apartment

During 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, Kristina Dam Studio showcased unique artworks and sculptures with novelties in the home of fashion connoisseur Kim Grenaa, owner of Grenaa Creative & Grenaa Creative Living. The 3daysofdesign 2022 event was the highlight of celebrating our tenth anniversary.

As a prelude to the exhibition, Kristina Dam Studio refurbished Kim Grenaa’s apartment to create a unique experience before 3daysofdesign. Unlike others in Copenhagen, the modern apartment has a stunning window façade and beautiful wooden floors, located in a historic factory building with a unique architectural expression in the city centre.

Carlsbergbyen

Since 1847, Carlsberg has had production and headquarters in the Copenhagen area, known as Carlsbergbyen. In 2006, Carlsberg moved their production from Copenhagen to Fredericia, which opened up new exciting opportunities in Carlsbergbyen, where they have worked to transform the area into Copenhagen’s new urban district with housing, urban spaces, shops, institutions, city life, culture and business premises.

In the historic surroundings is the 1920s Mineralvandsfabrikken, one of the few listed buildings that have been converted into housing. International star architect Dorthe Mandrup is behind the new two-storey luxury homes on top of the beautiful, newly renovated industrial property.

Grenaa Creative, led by Kim Grenaa, has been responsible for the interior design of one of the unique apartments, consisting of bright rooms, concrete floors, oak panels and kitchens in steel and marble. For the decor, Kim Grenaa has curated a selection of Kristina Dam Studios’ designs, which beautifully match the apartment’s materials.

The architecture and materials of the apartment is the obvious setting for Kristina Dam Studio, where the common thread in all designs is simple and graphic. The Bauhaus table with the Collector chair perfectly complements the apartment’s materials, and the Curved Bench brings tactility to the living room and the beautiful oak panels.

A House

Overlooking the sea and near the verdant Amager Fælled, Islands Brygge is a coveted area in Copenhagen. We have, in collaboration with stylist Trine Darré, showcased a stunning apartment adorned with Kristina Dam Studio products.

The A House’s living space has been transformed with our carefully selected furniture and décor, blending minimalism with timeless elegance. Each piece contributes to an ambiance of sophistication and tranquility.

Kristina Dam Studio’s sculptural objects and art pieces are strategically placed throughout the apartment, enhancing its majestic aura. The result is a unique living experience in Copenhagen, where breathtaking views and stylish designs merge. Redefining the art of living.
