There has also been his relentless commitment to the community, which must be considered a second career. Festivals of Speed roars into Miami with a spectacular display of yachts, exotic cars and luxury products at the Epic Hotel in Downtown Miami.

If you have never attended a Festivals of Speed event you are in for a treat. Created ten years ago by founder Joe Sabatini, Festivals of Speed is all about luxury and enjoying the finer things in life. The company operates at venues that include the Epic Hotel, Miami, Waldorf Astoria, Ritz-Carlton Orlando, the Renaissance Vinoy, St Petersburg and the Mission Inn Golf Resort. The festivals attract an affluent clientele of automotive enthusiasts and manufacturer’s representatives who share their passion for all things luxury. For its third consecutive year, the weekend kicks off Friday evening, October 12 with “Cocktails under the Stars” at the EPIC Hotel. Guests will enjoy champagne, fine wines and premium cocktails while browsing amongst the unique display of exotic cars, motorcycles and yachts. The yacht and motorsports display will combine a remarkable compilation of distinctive luxury yachts alongside renowned names in automobile and motorcycle design. Jewelers featuring fine diamond encrusted jewelry, timepieces created by Rolex, Breitling and other well-known brands will also be on display with high fashion, art and all things luxury. Over fifty of the world’s most exotic cars will be on display for guests to get an up close and personal look. Manufacturers set for display include Lamborghini, Pagani, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Fisker, Mercedes Benz, Porsche and a host of others. Beyond the automotive and motorcycle display, attendees will have the opportunity to board luxurious yachts to see what these magnificent vessels have to offer those lucky few who will own one. After the kick off cocktail reception, the event will stay in place all weekend from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Jazz Moves to Miami

Coming to an amphitheater near you The inaugural Miami Jazz Fest® debuts this November 17 and 18, one week before Thanksgiving. This is a jazz festival unlike all others seen in Miami, one that is built by and intended for lovers of the art form. “There are many music festivals that call themselves ‘Jazz’ events, but are all too often watered down with other types of music,” says event founder and producer, Carmen J. Cartiglia. “Miami Jazz Fest® will be going back to the basics and will bring in some exceptional true jazz artists from around the world.” The “exceptional, true jazz artists,” he is referring to are Monty Alexander, Mike DiRubbo, Don Friedman, Bucky Pizzarelli, Jack Wilkins, Jesse Jones, Warren Chaisson and Giacomo Gates, all scheduled to perform the second day of the festival, on Sunday. “We’re going ‘Old School’ for this event and bringing the people of Miami a true Jazz event that they can be proud of!” exclaims Mr. Cartiglia, “This is the start of an annual Jazz festival that will grow with each year and establish
