Discussion Questions
1. What are some of the emotions listed in this psalm? Which one of them leaves the greatest effect on you? How can you pray through such emotions? Share with your group some of the struggles of this process.
2. It is not popular culture to talk about an angry God. Have you felt or experienced God’s chastening? With Christ’s death on the cross for us do you think it is “easier” for us to escape God’s chastening for our sin? Explain your answer
3. Tears are part of our lives. What are some things that might bring you to tears? Compare with the list that potentially may have brought David to tears in Psalms 6. Is there a difference and why? How can you (and help others pray) through tearful situations?
4. Are there times where you feel that you cannot forgive yourself? How can you (and others) experience the grace of God in such situations?
