• Mr Ng Kheh Hoe (Vincent Ng's father), passed on peacefully on 30 March 2024.

• Mdm Choo Chui Chioh (Foochow Congregation), went home to the Lord on 1 April 2024.

Our condolences and prayers be with the family during this time of loss.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM FMC MISSIONARIES

David Lang

1. Titus had an EEG on 29 February and was found to be having seizures continually, even when he is asleep and not having convulsions. We have been referred to the palliative care consultant, and the decision thus far is to continue to try to treat his seizures with medicine. If necessary, he will bring him to the hospital to stop the convulsive seizures. The neurologist is trying new medication in the hope that it can reduce the intensity or frequency of convulsive seizures.

2. Please pray that Titus' seizures can be controlled by medications and that he will be comfortable and cheerful.

3. Please pray for us parents to be able to cope with the increased attention needed to care for Titus. Pray also for our Myanmar helper, who just started work with us three months ago.

Ps Simon Neo

1. Our Breakthrough café has opened on 15 Mar 2024. Pray that the café will be a channel of gospel sharing to the diners & also a training platform for the residents before their reintegration to society.

2. Our new Cosford site is still undergoing renovations, pray that the contractor and other consultants will be granted wisdom to complete the works soon.

3. Please keep our fund-raising for the 2 new double storey buildings, chapel cum multi-purpose hall and central kitchen in prayers. May the Lord touch brothers and sisters in-Christ to partner with us and become a loving channel of the Lord’s blessing to the ministry.

Poh Siok Ching

1. Pray for wisdom and strength to complete this semester’s assignment.

2. Pray for job stability for Kingston.

3. Pray that Jaden can be diligent in his studies.

John Amalraj

1. Pray for John as he works on analyzing the research and writing the dissertation.

2. Pray for Jessie, Jason and Joash as they await the next steps in their future career.

3. Pray that God will provide all the financial resources.

Kwok Siew Hwee

1. Thank God that we are seeing more Mandarin speaking students joining the CF at the universities after a dip in the last few years of COVID.

2. Pray for the FES staff conference coming up in April, and the Chinese section retreat and planning in June as the staff team comes together to look ahead and make plans for future student ministry work.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM FMC MISSIONARIES

3. The boys had been busy in school with their CCAs and various other activities. Pray for Elias who will be taking PSLE this year that he can learn to manage his time and his emotions as he faces more stress in the upcoming months.

Kuek Chung Lee

1. The Church Discipleship Ministry team will be conducting a training course over 12 monthly sessions to help build convictions, develop and equip disciples to help others grow spiritually. Pray for a fruitful and effective time of learning and application of lessons learnt.

2. Pray for the leaders of mentoring groups in an Anglican church to learn well and be ready to mentor others. That the Lord would lead them to people who are keen to learn and be mentored.

3. Please pray for each of my family members to know and experience God’s love in a life transforming way as they trust Jesus as their Saviour and Lord.

Chin Kheng Boon

1. Pray for stamina for me to finish the last lap of study in SBC final semester as I’ll be graduating on 4th May

2. Pray for direction and confirmation as to where to serve in Cru as I had met up with the leadership to discuss my desire to serve back in Cru campus ministry.

3. Praying for wisdom to guide and journey with our daughter, Kayla, in her PSLE preparation.

4. Praying to forge continual and strong relationships with pastor and missionary friends from SBC after graduation.

Tan Yiwei

1. I have joined a team from 1 to 4 April, for a Myanmar digital mission trip. There are 94 kids and youths who had joined this digital Bible/English camp. 2/3 of them are non believers. Praying the seeds of truth to be planted and grow in their hearts. Students and teachers over there will be encouraged by the word of God and personal testimonies. Please pray for Myanmar, it’s a difficult time for the country and people.

2. The WOWMOM group which I’m facilitating is currently using the book “Power of a praying parent”. Praying we have wisdom to intercede for our children and next generation. Our group may have the opportunity to reach out to parents in a kindergarten near our area. Praying 15-20 parents are willing to join the Friday sessions in July.

3. In the midst of busyness, I find solitude and joy in the Lord. In my devotion, I find comfort and strength from His word. Praying for God’s protection and covering over my family as my ministry has a few outreach to non-believers this year.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM SIONG MIN WHO IS DOING INTERNSHIP AT SUTD CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Wong Siong Min

1. Thank God for the opportunity to share the gospel with over 40 nonChristians over the two weeks leading up to Good Friday, through various evangelistic events organised by SUTDCF. Pray that God will work in their hearts to respond to the gospel!

2. Pray for the upcoming annual SUTDCF camp for students in May, for a fruitful time of listening to God’s word and fellowship with one another.

3. Pray for a humble heart as I continue growing in understanding God’s word and teaching it faithfully to others.

Batam Methodist Grace Church Ministry Prayer Items

1. Pastors, Leaders and Congregants

Love one another, hunger for spiritual food; sharing the gospel in unity, bring non-believers to participate in church activities and integrate into the church family. Pray that they will get to know God.

2. Church Funds and Mission / Outreach Ministries

Pray that God would provide for the church financially and use the Neighborhood Tuition Ministry and Outreach Centre. Children and parents in the neighbourhood can get to hear the Gospel through the tuition classes and church activities.

3. Family and Physical Health

God give us wisdom and strength as well as the guidance and partnership of the Holy Spirit to enable us to explain God's word and reveal the truth clearly. Pray that brothers and sisters can know the biblical truth better, grow spiritually and bear more fruits. Pray that God will remind us to remain true to our original aspiration, and give us healthy bodies to fulfil the ministries entrusted by the Lord. May all glory and praise be to the most high and almighty God.

Discussion Questions

1. The Bible records several persons who questioned God’s goodness, like those expressed in Psalm 73:1-14. One of them is Job, who accused God of being unjust and wanted God to answer why He inflicts suffering on him without cause. How would you respond to a person today who doubted God’s goodness and questioned God’s righteousness?

2. The writer of Psalm 73 found answers to his complaints when he came to the "sanctuary" which means "a holy place." Can you identify several holy places you can go to where you can experience God’s presence and allow his words to answer your doubts.
