Discussion Questions
1. Do you have a sacred place, akin to Gilgal, where you can seek solace, rejuvenation, and renewal in the Lord? Is there a cherished memory, like the twelve stones, that serves as a constant reminder of God's unwavering faithfulness, compelling you to walk faithfully by His side?
2. Reflecting on the Israelites' journey, why do you believe the Lord required the new generation to undergo circumcision as they embarked on their conquest of the promised land? Furthermore, what kind of profound "circumcision of the heart" do you find necessary to align your life with God's divine calling?
3. When contemplating our church, FMC, where do you believe our spiritual equivalent of Gilgal lies? Do you perceive the history of FMC as a rich heritage or as a burdensome baggage for our present generation? What kind of transformative "circumcision" must we, as a church, undergo in order to be prepared and receptive to God's calling? Let us take a moment to offer heartfelt prayers for our church, seeking the Lord's guidance and wisdom.
