PRAYER REQUESTS FROM FMC MISSIONARIES
TanYiwei
1. Wisdom to care for missionaries sent by Cru. Sensitive to their needs and able to give good advice regarding visa options and cross cultural adjustments etc.
2. Heart preparation for Cru staff summit cum mission trip in June. Pray for clarity and peace to know which county to go to because I’m bringing my 7 year-old son. Praying for protection and to experience God’s heart for the lost.
3. Pray for the mums group (WOWMUM ministry) which I’m leading in Marine Parade. Four of us will grow in the Lord and find strength in Him especially when our family members fall sick. It hasn’t been easy to manage our household and to rest in the Lord. Pray for us as we do the book study Be Transformed by Scope ministries. Through the process, God will enlighten our hearts and we will be transformed in the likeness of Christ. Grant me wisdom to facilitate the group.
4. Thankful I can be part of Sunday School. The youths have taught me many things. Praying for us to continue to grow in grace and truth. My heart will be ministered by the Lord as I study OT and prepare for Sunday school teaching.
David Lang
1. Pray for recovery of David's torn rotator cuff tendons which has not healed since his injury in November. The injury causes shoulder, neck and arm aches that made it uncomfortable to work on his PC.
2. Titus's seizure control, better sleep at night. and bowel movement. despite being on constipation medicines, lactulose and senna, he clears his bowels mostly with the help of enemas. Pray despite his condition he can continue to be strong and joyful.
3. Continue good health, strength and joy in caring for Titus and our other duties.

3. Jason and Joash – college studies and spiritual growth.
4. God’s continued financial provisions for the family needs.
Tham Yongzheng & Kwok Siew Hwee
1. We thank God that our two boys, Elias and Esaiah who will be turning 11 and 9 this year have been rather independent and disciplined in their growing-up years. Please pray for them that they will grow in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
2. Siew Hwee is finding it more challenging to cope with the increasing ministry needs on campus while juggling the ongoing service in the church and the demand for part-time study at Trinity Theological College. Please pray for her that she will have wisdom and strength from the above, and find rest in Him.
3. Yong Zheng is in his final semester at Trinity Theological College. He gives thanks for all the grace received from Him through the support and prayer extended from FMC. Please pray for him that he will be able to hand in the assignments on time and graduate successfully from TTC.
Kuek Chung Lee
1. The Church Discipleship Ministry (CDM) team comprising of my 2 colleagues and I will be conducting a series of training workshops over the next 2 months. Please pray for wisdom for the team and hearts to be blessed, ministered to and helped in their disciple making journey.
2. Please pray for the Lord's guidance in using the Online Disciple Making Community resources to develop disciplemaking learning communities among those working in the marketplaces and in the church.
3. Ask that as pastors and church leaders of POCC continue to meet using the mentoring tool, that they will grow in their love for the Word, ability to hear from the Lord and apply the discovered truths in their lives.
PRAYER REQUESTS FROM FMC MISSIONARIES
Chin Kheng Boon1. To pray for wisdom to decide the best course of treatment for my severe obtrusive sleep apnoea condition (OSA). Left untreated, the lack of quality sleep will develop into other health challenges in the long run. Currently I’m seeking a second opinion if I should go for a surgery to allow more air through my airway passage and to consider the timing of the surgery during the holiday break.
2. Pray for increase capacity to cope with the study demands of this semester modules and group projects in SBC and at the same time adjust to the new ministry responsibilities in FMC Mandarin Music & Worship Committee.
Jane Lim1. For finishing well in the next 3+ months as I leave Cambodia and HOPE school. And starting well again in Singapore after 5+ years!
2. For students and families who are leaving (graduation or families leaving for good) as well. Pray that they are able to process things well. It is much harder when it’s a community whom you might never meet physically again.
3. I’ve been participating in a facilitated retreat programme for cross cultural workers this year. Pray that the remaining sessions online and in-person continue to help me (and my fellow participants) process through things and events in our lives.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
1. Why did God allow the Israelites’ enemies to oppress them? Why did He later respond by raising up a human deliverer to rescue them?
2. Are you more like Samson or Gideon? Do you have more fears or frailties?
3. No one is perfect. Even in our faith journey, we may not be perfect. In what areas of your life is God working through your weakness to show His might?
4. Despite being men of fear and failures. What similarities did Gideon and Samson have with regard to their faith in God? How is that an encouragement to you?
