WE ARE ONE
In an emergency, a community comes together. In a crisis, neighbors reach out to neighbors to make a difference. In the face of despair, you can bring hope. Food For The Poor’s National Celebration --- We Are One brings us together to experience the power of unity to save the lives of families living in poverty who are greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Your generous support will help make it possible to provide desperately needed meals to hungry children.

LET TER FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Friends, Welcome to Food For The Poor’s National Celebration --We Are One virtual event. We are so excited that you could join us for an evening of unity, inspiration and celebration. The Gospel message to love our neighbor is fully alive here tonight as we come together to help prevent children from going to sleep hungry and ease the worry of parents who fear their children will starve to death. Your generous support will help make it possible to provide desperately needed meals to hungry families. The coronavirus pandemic has touched us all, but for those suffering in extreme poverty, COVID-19 has been devastating. Severe food shortages caused by pandemic restrictions are driving tens of thousands of hungry children and families throughout Latin America and the Caribbean to the brink of starvation. Your loving generosity is truly God’s love in action and an answer to the desperate prayers of those suffering in the darkness of poverty. You are a ray of light and hope for children and families confronting the cruel effects of this deadly pandemic. God bless you for loving your neighbor with such compassion and generosity. May He keep you and your family safe and healthy.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT from Food For The Poor’s Executive Leadership Team Dear Friends, At Food For The Poor, we are blessed with loving people like you who always seem to be ready to reach out and help lift families in need from the endless cycle of poverty that has trapped them for generations. We have all been affected by this deadly virus. But it is the most vulnerable who have been disproportionately affected by the global pandemic. Life-threatening food shortages, lack of health services or proper resources to fight the virus have thrust more children and families into extreme poverty. Thank you for your loving devotion, dedication and compassion for those who have been devastated by COVID-19. We are deeply grateful for your generous support which makes it possible for us to purchase and ship meals to hungry children and their families. God bless you for your lovingkindness and generous support. Food For The Poor Executive Leadership Team

THE WORK OF FFTP FOOD “For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat...” (Matthew 25:35a, niv) Tens of thousands of children and families living in extreme poverty rely on Food For The Poor for their daily sustenance. Our donors enable us to feed the hungry.
HOUSING “…...I was a stranger and you invited Me in...” (Matthew 25:35c, niv) Since our inception, we’ve built more than 86,600 homes with a total of 10,810 homes built in Haiti since the devastating January 2010 earthquake.
MEDICAL CARE “…... I was sick and you looked after Me...” (Matthew 25:36b, niv) Food For The Poor is a major supplier of medicine, medical equipment and health necessities to hospitals and clinics throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
ANGELS OF HOPE “And whoever welcomes one such child in My name welcomes Me.” (Matthew 18:5, niv) Food For The Poor has specially selected children’s homes for participation in our Angels Of Hope child sponsorship program to care for orphaned and abandoned children. These nongovernmental homes help these children grow and develop mentally, physically and spiritually in a loving environment. 22
EDUCATION “Let My teaching fall like rain and My words descend like dew,” (Deuteronomy 32:2a, niv) A cornerstone in our mission is the provision of school furniture, supplies and books to the impoverished schools of the Caribbean and Latin America.
CLEAN WATER “…...I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink...” (Matthew 25:35b, niv) In developing countries, many die every day from drinking water from contaminated sources. Since 1998, Food For The Poor has completed 2,606 water projects that provide clean water and sanitation to hundreds of thousands of people in need.
MICRO-ENTERPRISE “You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.”(Psalm 128:2, niv) Our micro-enterprise projects break the cycle of poverty with the skills training and tools essential for earning a living in sewing, auto body repair, welding, computers, electrical engineering, animal rearing and fishing.
EMERGENCY RELIEF “…I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed (Psalm 57:1b, niv) The areas we serve experience hurricanes, earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters. Food For The Poor stands ready to respond with emergency supplies. 23
