Rose Pest Control: Serving the Food Industry Longer than Anyone in Chicagoland

No one wants to think of a cockroach leg ending up in a box of cereal, especially one in their own shopping cart. Or a rat dropping or any other thing that would turn our stomachs rather than pique our taste buds. But without vigilant, experienced professionals on the lookout, that’s exactly what can happen.

One of the foremost authorities on helping keep pests out of food and food processing facilities including manufacturing plants, food storage warehouses, grocery stores and restaurants and bars is Rose Pest Solutions. Rose has offices in Illinois and Wisconsin. Sister company Franklin Pest Solutions serves Indiana and Kentucky.

“We are proud of the special training and certifications our experts have earned through years of experience in helping to keep food facilities pest free, especially our QualityPro Food Safety certification” said Janelle Iaccino, also known as The Bug Girl with Rose. To earn accreditation, companies must prove a commitment to excellence in servicing food plant and processing facilities, according to QualityPro.

“We are so proud of being the number one choice for IPM food industry partnerships. Plus we’ve served the food industry longer than any other company in the Chicagoland area,” Iaccino said.

To prove that point, Iaccino cites the company’s history, having been founded more than 160 years ago by Solomon Rose, who created an early form of pest control, known today as arsenic. In 1860 Rose was commissioned by the U.S. Army during the Civil War to help keep soldiers in tent camps protected from rats and lice, meaning that Abraham Lincoln was the company’s first client because, as president, he was in charge of the Union Army.
