cast profiles Patrick Cameron (Shaun) Patrick Cameron is excited to make his debut with JPAC in such a fun show. A recent transplant from Buffalo, NY, he has performed in over a dozen theaters professionally. Favorite roles include Next to Normal (Gabriel), Hair (Claude), Killer Joe (Chris), As You Like It (Orlando), Lovers (Joe), Third (Third), Superior Donuts (Kevin) and In the Next Room or The Vibrator Play (Leo). He wants to thank his friends, family, and CG for the constant love and support. Katie Jensen (Judy) Katie is thrilled to be making her Chicago debut at JPAC! She has performed on stage and screen in New York, Detroit, and Pittsburgh, and is now happy to call Chicago her home. Favorite roles include Brooke/Vicki (Noises Off), Cecily Cardew (The Importance of Being Earnest), and Deirdre (I Hate Hamlet). Katie holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts. By day, Katie is a Development Associate at the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research. Many thanks to her family, her friends, and her fiancé, whom she met on stage.

Erin Oechsel (Moira) Erin is making her Chicago debut in A Night in Provence. Her regional credits include The Spitfire Grill (Percy) and Escanaba in Love (Big Betty). Other favorites: My Fair Lady (Eliza), The Last Five Years (Cathy), Little Women (Beth), and The Fantastiks (Luisa). This past year, she received the Kennedy Center Distinguished Acting award for her role in The Circus in Winter (Jennie). She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University. Love to her rocks: Joseph, Elizabeth, Miles, Ann and Marie. Caleb Scales (Maurice) Caleb is excited to return to JPAC for A Night in Provence. Caleb has his Bachelor of Arts degree from Moody Bible Institute in Communications and Bible. While studying he discovered his love for theatre and joined an improv comedy troupe which he regularly performed with for three years. He also got the chance to perform as Phillip in a stage version of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope, the Forman in 12 Angry Men, and Judas in Godspell. He was last seen performing in JPAC’s Legally Blonde the Musical as Carlos and Padamadan. Carlos is his favorite role thus far. He would like to thank God, his brother Jonathan, Kelsey, and Jason.
cast profiles Eddie Urish (Fred) In the first 17 months since he decided to step back into the uncertainty of acting and directing, the majority of Eddie’s time has been spent on the east coast or on the road. Most recently he played Huck in the national tour of an all new Huckleberry Finn, Deon in August Osage County directed by Marc Robin at The Fulton Theatre in PA, and Jeff in You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up produced by Off Broadway Booking. His directing credits include Follies at The Fulton Theatre (PA), Leaving Iowa at Downstairs Cabaret (NY), and Steve & Amy at Don’t Tell Mama (Off Broadway NYC). He is the Founding Artistic Director of Eastlight Theatre, now in its 22nd year. His proudest accomplishment will forever be his two daughters, Ellie and Whitney! Tim, Kath, and Bailey, I will forever be in your debt!
Rachelynn Primm (Yvette) Rachelyn Primm is absolutely thrilled to return to JPAC where she appeared in Legally Blonde (Vivienne Kensington), Sunset Boulevard (Betty Schaefer), Man of La Mancha (Maria), and Phantom of the Opera. Most recently, she has been seen as Rita in White Christmas with Theatre Matthews. Other Chicago credits include The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company’s productions of The Mikado and The Sorcerer. Many thanks to Dante Orfei and the JPAC team, and so much love to her dear family and friends for their constant belief and support.

c r e at i v e s ta f f p r o f i l e s Dante J. Orfei (Artistic Director, Lighting Designer) has been the Artistic Director at the Jedlicka Performing Arts Center for over 25 years. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and has produced and directed a travel documentary titled European Sojourn, which aired on PBS. Dante also directed the U.S. Premiere of the musical Metropolis and worked closely with the show’s creator, Academy and Grammy Award-winner Joseph Brooks on the development of the show. Dante directed the national regional theatre premiere of Brooks’ most recent Broadway show, In My Life. He has studied with Tony Award-winners Harold Prince and Jules Fisher. He directed the Midwest Regional Premiere of the Queen rock musical, We Will Rock You, and has also directed the World Premiere of Nefertiti – The Musical, as well as Premiere Chicago Productions of Little Women, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love, Blood Brothers, Jekyll and Hyde, The Baker’s Wife, and numerous plays by Olivier Awardwinning playwright Ray Cooney, including the U.S. Premiere of Cooney’s It Runs in the Family. Dante has directed well over 175 stage productions on the professional, dinner theatre and academic levels. Michael Nedza (Scenic and Properties Designer/Technical Director) is a full-time faculty member at Morton College and has been designing throughout the Midwest for over 25years. He has designed over 75 shows here at the JPAC. Some of the designs he is most proud of include, last season’s Sunset Boulevard, Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, In My Life, We Will Rock You, Jekyll and Hyde, and 1776. Michael has been recognized twice with the “Award of Merit” from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Melanie Lamoureux (Managing Director) Melanie Lamoureux is thrilled to be joining the JPAC team. She has performed on the JPAC stage many times, most recently as Annie Sullivan in the 2011 production of The Miracle Worker. She is the Artistic Director of BAMtheatre, a youth educational theatre company based in Hinsdale, IL, where she has directed and produced over 20 musicals including Into the Woods, Violet, and Chicago.

This year, Melanie will also be teaching in the music department at Fenwick High School. She holds a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Toronto, and a Masters of Music (Musical Theatre) from the Boston Conservatory. Micheal Kott (Multimedia/Sound Designer) has directed numerous plays and musicals both stateside and in Europe, including his critically acclaimed production of Murderer, by Anthony Shaffer. His JPAC directing credits include Doubt, Lilies of the Field and The Boys Next Door. Michael is also a veteran performer at the JPAC having been involved in 18 shows over the last 12 years. Among his favorites are Blood Brothers, Moonlight and Magnolias, Peter Pan, and Tuesdays with Morrie. He is very grateful to Dante Orfei for his friendship, support, encouragement and trust. Micheal played the scene-stealing Psychic in Brain Damaged Film’s 2008 release Secrets of the Clown, available at www.blockbuster.com! Micheal is the founding director of the Green Door Theatre in Garlstedt, West Germany. Currently he is the Artistic Director of Master’s Backstage Players in Carol Stream, Illinois. Micheal was also an ensemble member of Cenacle Theatre in Chicago, where he acted and directed numerous productions. Mike is the multimedia specialist for Morton College by day and at night divides his time among the various theatres in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. He is very thankful to Dr. Felicity Thoet for her guidance and direction. She is a wonderful director and I thank her for her knowledge. Lindsay Prerost (Costume Designer) is excited to be costuming her sixth show for JPAC; recently costuming Das Barbecu. Lindsay is also the theatre assistant/designer at Downers Grove North High School and has costumed four one act plays including Bus Riley’s Back in Town, Relative Strangers, Law and Order Fairytale Unit and A Backwards Fairytale. Lindsay has also designed hair and makeup for many shows including Sunset Boulevard, Grease, Phantom of the Opera and University of Chicago’s Nutcracker Ballet.
