“Right now, I’m curing cancer. You can too.” You may not think of Coach Bo Ryan as a trained pediatric cancer specialist. Fortunately, he does not have to be a doctor to make a huge difference in the lives of hospitalized kids. “By supporting American Family Children’s Hospital at the UW, I join my fellow Badger coaches in helping save a child’s life,” says Coach Ryan. Right now, your donation can help too – by helping build urgently needed additional critical care units where we care for very sick children.

Grand Re-Opening Exciting news from Wisconsin Union Theater-the renovations during the 2013-2014 season are going extremely well! Elysse Lindell, (Wisconsin Union Theater’s marketing intern) had the opportunity to sit down with Ralph Russo (the Cultural Arts Director of the Wisconsin Union and Director the Wisconsin Union Theater), to inquire about the progress of the renovations and plans for next season. Elysse: This is such a crazy time. How go the Theater renovations?

STITCHERY, ART SUPPLIES, FRAMING & CLASSES FOR CREATIVE PEOPLE 5928 Odana Road, Madison 608.274.1442 or lynnsofmadison.com

Ralph: They’re on time and on budget, which is good news. We look forward to moving the staff back to the theater starting in mid-May 2014. The construction company making all this possible, Boldt, is fully focused on the theater. They have done a wonderful job with the Hoofers area, and it is really moving along quickly.

Every time I’ve been through the space, there’s been huge progress. Elysse: What are some of the goals of the programming committee for next year’s big re-opening? Ralph: We just drafted some goals to help us make the final push for booking the 2014-2015 season. One of our goals was to reflect on [our] marvelous history, so we will bring

back some great performers who have been important to the theater and the Madison community. Elysse: What are you looking forward to the most next season? Ralph: There’s a lot. I am personally most excited about the programmatic options the new Play Circle gets us. In particular, meeting the needs of the campus and student community, and how that space will really help us activate the entire West Wing of Memorial Union in a way we have not been able to do in the past. I’m also looking forward to getting home to the Theater. The Memorial Union has been my home for the last 27 years, and I’m looking forward to coming back. I’m also looking forward to the new Sunset Lounge, which will be an amazing space for patrons to gather. It will also be a great space for students to come study, think, and enjoy one another’s company with a view of the lake.

We handle money. It’s that simple. We have helped clients successfully navigate through bull and bear markets. Call us for a complimentary discussion of your current strategy.
