D I R E C TO R S Fred Anzevino (Artistic Director) co-founded Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre in 1997. Under his leadership, Theo Ubique has grown into one of the most successful non-Equity theatre companies in Chicago presenting several critically acclaimed productions with over 30 non-Equity Jeff Awards including Best Director Awards for his staging of Cabaret, Evita, Chess and The Light in the Piazza. Theo is a proud member of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District and the recipient of the 2013 Rogers Park Community Council’s “Best Business Award” shared with LifeLine Theatre, Boho and the side project. Kory Danielson (Musical Direction) is a music director, piano/conductor, and vocal coach. Recent credits include resident MD at Haven Theatre (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Wedding Singer), pianist/conductor for Theo’s Smokey Joe’s Café (Royal George transfer), AMD under Roberta Duchak at Drury Lane Oakbrook (Xanadu, Singin’ in the Rain), The Music Theatre Company (Young Artist Program, 48-hour Musicals, Zanna Don’t, Lucky Stiff, Triumph of Love) and Chicago Children’s Theatre, Bailiwick, and National Pastime Theatre, Hell in a Handbag, and Street Tempo Theatre. She graduated from Viterbo University in La Crosse, where she doublemajored in Music Theatre Performance and Arts Administration. Most recently, she performed at Timber Lake Playhouse, where credits included Marian in The Music Man, Judy Turner in A Chorus Line, Karen Brown in Unnecessary Farce, and the Leslie Caron track in the Midwest premiere of ‘Swonderful. BIOGR APHIES Sarah Simmons (Fosca’s Mother) understudied the role of Sharon Graham in Theo’s Master Class. A Rogers Park resident and native of Murray, Ky, Sarah holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from Samford University and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Northwestern University. Favorite performance credits include singing in the middle east in 2012 in La Bohème at the Royal Opera House of Muscat Oman; Benjamin Britten’s The Beggars Opera, L’enfant et les sortileges, and Suor Angelica with Maestro Lorin Maazel’s Castleton Festival; HMS Pinafore and Annie Get Your Gun with Light Opera Works; and university productions of Company, I Love You You’re Perfect Now Change, The Ghosts of Versailles, and Il Barbieri di Siviglia. Upcoming performances include concerts with Chicago’s Lira Ensemble. Cortney Crouse (Assistant Director) has appeared in numerous productions with Theo Ubique and has received Jeff Awards for both Actor in a principle role (musical) and Actor in a Supporting Role (musical). Jess previously designed Will Power! for The Clarence Brown Theatre. Brian Hoehne (Lighting Design) returns to Theo after designing lights for Master Class, Chess, and Taming of the Shrew. Paige Keedy (Production Stage Manager/ Properties Designer) was the production manager at Light Opera Works for more than ten years, where she helped produce over forty productions. As production manager for the Chicago Improv Festival for a number of seasons, she oversaw shows in as many as eight venues simultaneously. She recently designed props for the Jeff Recommended production of Through the Leaves at the side project theatre. She also designs costumes, make-up and properties and teaches assorted workshops for children. Shoiji Tabuchi, the Oak Ridge Boys, the Rockettes and the Miss USA Pageant are a few of the wide variety of entertainers and productions she has been a part of prior to coming to Chicago. This is her fifth show with Theo Ubique. Bill Morey (Costume Designer) has designed Theo’s Master Class, Aspects of Love, Smokey Joe’s Café, Time After Time, Light in the Piazza and Chess. He has been nominated for four Equity Jeff Awards, winning in 2008 for Nine and in 2011 for The King and I –for which he also received the BroadwayWorld Chicago award. He is also the recipient of two After Dark awards. R&D was founded in 1997 by David Bareford and Richard Gilbert for the purpose of improving the power and effectiveness of Chicago area theatre through the art of violence design. In 2011, we were joined by new partner Victor Bayona. We have choreographed fight scenes in over two hundred fifty productions, taught stage combat at universities, colleges, and workshops, and performed in professional theatre, live stunt shows, and film. Adam Veness (Scenic Design and Construction) celebrates his fourth season with the best little storefront in town. He has designed Some Enchanted Evening, Master Class, and eight shows in between, including The Light in the Piazza, for which he received a 2012 Jeff nomination. Recent work includes: H.M.S. Pinafore, Oliver, Man of La Mancha, Camelot, The Secret Garden and others (Light Opera Works). Adam Webster (General Manager) is pleased to serve Theo Ubique for a thirdseason. He is also in his 14th season as Founding Artistic Director of fellow Rogers Park theatre company, the side project, winner of the 2009 Emerging Theatre Award.
