A B O U T VO C E D E A M E R I C A Trio Voces de America was founded March 9, 2000. The group consists of three members, Edgar Fausto Islas who plays the Requinto (similar to a small guitar, but with a higher pitch). Edgar performs solos that create excitement within the song. He has over 20 years experience with various instruments such as guitar, acoustic base, violin, trumpet, mandolin, and biguela. Victor Hernandez is the second member. He plays the guitar and does a wonderful job of interpreting many Mexican traditional songs. Adolfo Ramirez rounds out the trio. Adolfo plays Requinto guitar and acoustic base, and also loves to interpret Spanish songs. The trio has performed in many parades, at Fiesta Mexicana, and special concerts for Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and former Mexican President Vincente Fox.
