Science Does Back up the Bible in Regards to the Best Diet For Humans.
To go straight to the point, scientific research shows that pursuing the following line of reasoning will be profitable. That is: Animals, in their natural state, live on foods produced by nature, which don’t require any excessive change (cooking, processing etc). Humans, on the other hand, do the exact opposite, to their own detriment. At this stage, it should be noted that every anatomical, physiological and embryological feature of man places him in the class of a fruitarian. These features include the number and structure of his teeth, the length and structure of his digestive tract, the position of his eyes, the character of his nails, the function of his skin, the character of his saliva, the relatively small size of his liver, the number and position of the milk glands, the position and structure of the sexual organs, the character of the human placenta and other factors all bear witness to the fact that humans are constitutionally fruitarians who may also partake of green plants without going against their genetic make-up. Dear Friends, God is not a God of Disorder. The Almighty Himself made and upholds Nature and it is not in chaos! That being stated, if you take the time out to observe different animals in nature, (thanks to technology for the Discovery Channel and DVD’s on the subject) you will see that each animal has been designed to eat a specific diet and to exist on particular foods. Very tellingly, the diet of animals is usually restricted to a few categories of foods only. Now, to determine what we are supposed to eat, let’s take a look at our teeth first of all. Most biologists agree that the form and shape of the teeth of any species of creatures is of a great importance in regards to classifying the creature’s diet. However, though this is indeed very true, I am quick to note that the average person could state that humans are omnivores in that we can eat of both the animal and plant kingdoms. They may say our bodies have evolved to digest almost everything but taking that into consideration, if you own a dog or cat (who are pretty much omnivorous
when domesticated) and it permits you to try this procedure, open its mouth. Do you notice the long canines? They are conical and sharp and they lock into each other on either side of the mouth. Compare that to your own canines, you will notice that unlike the aforementioned animals, your canines are barely sharp enough to bite into an apple. Another observation is that the human jaw is designed to make left-andright movements useful for chewing, while those of carnivores, such as dogs and cats cannot have such lateral movements in the case of their lower jaws. The jaws of carnivores work great for biting into flesh, tearing it apart and swallowing it whole. Furthermore, carnivores have very powerful and strong stomach acids which can easily digest bones. These beasts can swallow meat even without having to chew it and still be able to digest it. Now, have you ever swallowed a watermelon seed without chewing it? If yes, hold on a quick second. If no, try it-You will notice that it comes straight out locked in your stool without being digested at all. That covered; let me remind you of something else. Humans have HANDS. Your hands grab and peel. However, carnivores (wild cats etc) and herbivores (cattle, deer, and horses) can only eat with their mouths. Even pigs, which are genetically omnivores, swallow fruit WHOLE with the peel and everything. Although modern biologists may state that we are omnivores-that we (like the pig) are supposed to be able to eat any and every thing (at least that was what I was taught in high school), the physiologists of the last century are not in agreement with that analysis and have thus classified humans as Frugivores along with other primates. Frugivores are creatures that eat predominantly fruits along with a few vegetables, nuts and seeds.
As a result, in specific outlines provided herewith, these are how carnivores, herbivores, omnivores and frugivores differ according to biology. 1. A carnivore’s teeth are long, sharp and pointed. These are useful for the task of piercing into flesh. Omnivore’s (meat and plant eaters) teeth are similar to that of carnivores. However Human teeth are not pointed, but flat edged. These are useful tools for biting, crushing and grinding. 2. A carnivore’s jaw moves up and down with minimal sideways motion. The jaw motion of an omnivore is similar. These are tools that are useful for the tasks of shearing, ripping and tearing flesh and swallowing it whole. Omnivores swallow their food whole and/or with simple crushing. However, the Human jaw cannot shear, but has good side to side and back to front motion. These are tools that will be useful for a lot of chewing, crushing and grinding of fruits and other high fiber foods. Every tooth in the mouth of a carnivore is a fang; there are no molars and no incisors for biting into fruit. If you put a grape into a cat's mouth and the cat will chew vigorously - and the grape will pop out since the carnivore will have a lot of difficulty coordinating the muscles needed to chew fruit easily. 3. A carnivore or omnivore’s saliva does not contain digestive enzymes. However, the human saliva is alkaline, containing carbohydrate digestive enzymes. 4. A carnivore’s stomach has powerful digestive enzymes with about 10 times the amount of hydrochloric acid that a human or herbivore has. The pH is less than or equal to “1″ with food in the stomach, for a carnivore or omnivore. For humans the pH ranges from 4 to 5 with food in the stomach. 5. A carnivore’s or omnivore’s small intestine is three to six times the length of its trunk. This is a tool designed for quick removal of food that rots fast. However, the Human small intestine is 10 to 12 times the length of its body, and winds itself back and forth in random directions.
This is made as such for keeping food in it for long enough periods of time so that all the valuable nutrients and minerals can be extracted from it before it enters the large intestine. 6. A carnivore’s or omnivore’s large intestine is relatively short and simple, like a pipe. This passage is also relatively smooth and runs fairly straight so that fatty wastes high in cholesterol can easily slide out before they start to putrefy. Human’s, as well as herbivore’s large intestines, or colons, are puckered and pouched, a mechanism that runs in three directions (ascending, traversing and descending), and are designed to hold wastes that originally were foods high in water content. This is so that the fluids can be removed from these wastes, now that all the useful nutrients and minerals have been extracted and the long journey through the small intestine is over. 7. Animal flesh, which is made up of the most highly complex type of protein that exists, needs a large amount of uric acid to be processed. Uric acid is released into the system in amounts necessary to break proteins down into amino acids. Uric acid is a toxic substance that induces the aging process and must be flushed out and dealt with. That is one of the jobs of the liver. In relative terms, a carnivore’s liver is a tool designed with the capacity to remove ten times as much uric acid as the liver of man or other plant eaters. 8. A predator has a manner of locomotion, large paws and claws, which enable it to hunt, chase and trap its prey. These are tools meant to kill. Human’s way of walking, as well as other plant eater’s is designed solely for moving. If you observe your hands, fingers and fingernails, suffice it to say that they are obviously not properly designed for catching, trapping, killing and ripping apart cattle, pigs, chicken and fish but more so for picking fruit from trees or harvesting vegetables. On a quick side note, if you take a look at chimpanzees (about the only primates notorious for killing and eating smaller monkeys) when they eat meat, they can hunt down the animal with their bare hands and eat it freshly killed; meat and bones and this represents about 5% of their diet.
In all honesty, which of you reading this can do just that; hunt down a monkey or even a chicken in the wild, kill it and eat it raw? The foods your hands were meant to gather are typically, high in water content, high also in fiber to sweep the wastes out of those intestines, and collectively contain every vitamin and mineral necessary to sustain human life. 9. A carnivore’s frame of mind is totally designed for hunting and killing; on the other hand, the frame of mind of humans is usually compassionate, friendly and values life. When the lioness sees a furry animal, something might instinctively go on in its head that tells it to go after the other creature, kill it and have something to eat. If you on the other hand see an animal that you rarely see, you, like most humans would either just leave it be or if it intrigues you, observe it or perhaps take a picture. Chances are you won’t be like Jack Nicholson’s character was in the movie “Wolf” and want to take its life and eat it. How many times have you seen people even avoid hitting a stray animal in traffic? This goes to show how instinctively compassionate we are as creatures. It is against our nature to eat carnivorously. No carnivore cooks its food to change it the way humans who eat meat do. Let’s face it; we have to cook dead bodies because if we don't, we are too disgusted to eat them. We would agree that a human cannot pounce on a live chicken and eat it. Nor can we attack a cow and eat it without cooking it first. If you put a baby chicken and a ripe juicy fruit by a human toddler, suffice it to say that the kid will eat the fruit every time. It truly is not in our nature to kill and eat live animals. We ingest them only because the slaughterhouses and what takes place in them are both hidden from view and the meat is served up in a changed state. 10. Man is not a natural hunter. Every predator, in order to go hunting has to be hungry first. On the other hand, man cannot go hunting if he IS hungry! He must have a meal first. Hunger has to make a predator want to go hunting.
Now, most individuals have been raised with the mindset that meat eating is a part of human life and that it is a perfectly acceptable and health supporting food. Very tellingly, it can be difficult for a person to make the mental and emotional change towards an understanding of just how much meat can actually harm one’s body and mind. This is of a high importance in regards to the meat of Biblically (and scientifically) unclean animals that has been discussed elsewhere in this site. (http://bodyhealthsoul.com/2013/01/what-should-we-aschristiansbelievershealth-seekers-eat-what-are-the-options/) That being stated, for one to really make a change from meat eating to healthier choices, it is necessary to understand just how incorrect a practice it actually is to consume meat, especially when done the wrong way-which very tellingly is how most people eat such substances. At this stage, it should be noted that adhering to a proper diet could be the FOUNDATION when it comes to improving one’s health, but it’s not the only factor. However, as the saying goes, if the foundation is weak, the house will eventually crumble! (This could mean, if the foundation is strong, even if there are glitches here and there, they can always be fixed.) So, now that the arguments have been presented with a scientific basis on how humans should eat, let’s get started on improving our health TODAY!
