It was in 2009, in Modena (Italy), that Davide Guzzardi and Marco Barbieri started a movement that joins local athletes to practice extreme sports and produce mediatic content. Since then, they’ve kept alive the adventurous spirit of the project by organizing alternative activities a few times a year.

He is the reflection of an adventurous spirit, always in search of what makes him really happy.

Luís Ferreira graduated in Industrial Design and specialized in photography and video in a self-taught way. Being a Nature Photographer, he reveals through his lens rare animals and unique landscapes; that is what makes him and adventurer with a cause.

Through their journeys and experiences, shared in pictures and videos in the social networks, they represent the true essence of the brand.

WORLD SKETCHING TOUR Passionate about art, Luís Simões felt the need to go on an adventure around the world, in search for the everyday life and his own personal fulfillment. The purpose was to immortalize all his experiences through watercolors, pencils and markers. The result is outstanding and growing day by day.

World’s Paths WORLD’S PATHS Attilio and Ambra are a couple since 2013 and what connects them is the passion for discovering new places. Soon after meeting each other, they decided to join in the creation of a blog where they tell all of their discoveries and constant adventures. The World’s Path blog is their window to the world. 11

“Traveling, hiking, shooting & filming, eating and exploring… after all ... living!”

It was in search of an alternative lifestyle that Elisabeth and Philip decided to embark on an endless journey. Both Austrians, Philip is a camera operator and Elisabeth is a social worker. Together they share a sustainable lifestyle supported by the desire of traveling and seeing new places. It was in accordance with this desire that they began to discover new stories where they connected with people and places, and worked on one of their main passions: to film and photograph what they are experiencing and showing it in a unique way.

How are they discovering the world? Simple words and common activities are what characterize a routine that, definitely, is not always the same. Every day is a contradiction. Through the windshield of a camper van, they are traveling the world, discovering different countries and different cultures in search of a simple but wild routine. Exploring, camping, engaging in lots of outdoor activities, but especially connecting and getting involved with the places they pass through, these are the main reasons to leave everything behind and embark on an endless journey. Meeting new people and discovering their most inspiring stories, was the origin of the project “The Wild Routine”. It was in 2016, in search of a creative lifestyle, that they began collecting stories and showing them to the rest of the world. Whenever they meet interesting people with stories that influence them, they document and share them through their channels. This was the way they managed to celebrate life in an alternative style.

“It was love at first sight” How Berg Outdoor got into the routine? It was in 2016 that we had our first contact with “The Wild Routine” in Friedrichshafen (Germany), in an outdoor product fair. Elisabeth and Phillip were searching a sustainable partnership to provide them with items that would give them the greatest comfort for their lifetime adventure. “We entered the Exhibition Hall and the first brand which caught our eyes was Berg Outdoor.” That big map of the world matched our ideas perfectly. We were just about to leave everything behind. We quit our jobs, sold our cars, and bought tickets to Paraguay. We received the Berg Outdoor items one day before the flight! It was so close…now it’s very funny, but at the time very concerning. It was on our trip to South America. It was where we explored Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador... it was where we lived a simple life in the cold of Patagonia, climbed mountains and enjoyed the sea”.

A Berg Outdoor Adventure with The Wild Routine There’s so much to tell, albeit so much more to be told. The Wild Routine is a collection of the most diverse experiences. Like during the filming of their little documentaries, in which they reproduced the life of someone who for some reason tagged along the whole way. “We have so many funny stories, like during the filming of “About Simplicity “where we camped on the beach and filmed with the help of a drone. Everything was close to the water: tents, bicycles, and the camping gas. When suddenly a wave came and ruined everything. Luckily the tent was dry and the camera too! We ended up just losing a few glasses, it was a funny situation. Berg Outdoor in The Wild Routine’s World “When you want to camp in Torres del Paine, with temperatures below zero, the items have to keep you warm and can never fail you. From the zipper to the material, we trust the articles because they are the ones that keep us warm and dry. Using high-quality equipment such as Berg Outdoor made us realize that it is not necessary to change equipment every two weeks, it helps us to keep our sustainable lifestyle."

Monsanto Trail Running Team MONSANTO TRAIL RUNNING TEAM It was on the trails of Monsanto in 2011 that seven friends started the Monsanto Running Team. Since 2013, with a squirrel stamped on the shirt, every day they go out early to enjoy the communion of sport with nature. Together, they participate in the main trail running circuits in Portugal and the top races european.

Fed up with a life he was not proud of, Carlos could hear the mountains calling. The track was hard but he returned to the spot winning challenge after challenge. Today, he is a full-time ultramarathonist, totally dedicated to trail running and an inspiration for others. 2017 was the year he got an amazing 4th place at the Tor des Geants, in Italy.

CARLOS SÁ Much more than a race, a way of life

“If it’s just to compete, nothing will make sense” Fed up with a life he was not proud of, he could hear the mountains calling. The track was difficult and perhaps the most challenging he had ever done, but for the sake of his own life, he returned to the sport, and started winning challenge after challenge. He is now a full-time athlete that is totally dedicated to what still keeps him alive, inspiring those who follow him on his journey. ULTRA-TRAIL MONT BLANC - A MEMORY, A SENSATION, AN IMPULSE. The Portuguese athlete’s career didn't begin with Trail Running. He developed that passion with the practice of mountaineering. In 2005, he continued to practise this type of activity in Portugal and Spain and, once again with João Garcia, he lined up for an expedition to the Cordillera Blanca in Peru where he climbed Tocllaraju, Ishinca, Pisco and Urus. Running is an instinct that a human being can’t explain; some run to escape, some run to get further and others run to change. Carlos Sá runs for the pleasure of conquering new peaks, but, more importantly, he runs to exceed his own goals. At the age of just 12, he realized that running was one of his great passions and from early on he accomplished great achievements in different athletics tracks. At 19 he worked and studied. At that time, his training sessions were done at night; it was a time marked by sacrifice and an adventurous spirit. But over the years his lifestyle got in the way of this routine. Carlos became a sedentary person with his health starting to suffer. In the year 2000 Carlos Sá weighed more than 90 kg and smoked two packs of cigarettes a day. One day he noticed that his son had started imitating him smoking and that pushed him to make a change. He lost more than 30 kg, and became the athlete he is today.

How berg outdoor went into the race But everything changed in 2006. It was on holiday that he had the first contact with the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc. He felt inspired by Marco Olmo, who, at age 58, succeeded in running through the mountains of three countries and win the race. Watching 2000 people running 170 km without stopping was the first step to seeing Trail Running in a new way.

"In 2011 I was going through a difficult situation. Like many Portuguese people, I lost my job with the crisis that Portugal was going through. Running in deserts, jungle, high mountain or even making polar crossings and being among the greatest athletes in the world, has only been possible thanks to a great collaboration with the brand. We are not perfect. Together we still have to grow, but I trust and recommend the products. "

Feeling free, discovering new trails and landscapes; trying to go further, beyond the limit and always being able to do what he really likes is what motivates him at every step. How berg outdoor joined the race Hundreds of kilometers have already been covered by Carlos. In every step, in every drop of sweat and in every climb, we are proud to be able to follow him in his most diverse achievements. It was thanks to his determination, persistence, and enthusiasm that we wanted to start running with Carlos.

Responsible and promoter in the organization of events of Trail Running in Portugal through the project Carlos Sá - Nature Events. All achievements in the most diverse competitions are important, but the greatest of all was his own transformation.
