Quick Q&A Introduce yourself please
My name is Aaryn Elliott but I’m known as Angel Blacc. I’m a 19 year-old cancer from Fort Myers, FL and I’m an artist of many forms! At what moment would you say you decided to be an artist, and what influenced that decision?
I would say I’ve always had the passion to be an artist, for as long as I can remember. I never grew up in the churches, so I was always singing in the school’s choir. I was probably about 8 when Nicki came out, and her song Fly was actually the first rap song I had ever memorized! I never really picked up the pen to write raps until I was 15, during my senior year, I moved in with my sister and her best friend. She heard me rap one time and asked me why I never recorded anything. My confidence soared! How would you describe your music?
I’d describe my music as a deck of cards, in the sense of versatility. There’s something for everybody, and I do that not to necessarily try to please everyone on the planet, but to try to connect with people on different levels. There’s music I make where I’m crying, pouring my heart out at my most vulnerable. Then I have music I call Pretty Little Gangsta music (word to Santana), music that just makes you feel like a bad bitch or boss man! What would you say is the hardest part of being an artist?
Locally, I’m sort of in my own lane of music. There’s a difference between being underestimated, and being counted out based on my sexuality. There’s a lot of judgement from the rap community that I feel shouldn’t be based on who I decide to lay down with at the end of the night, but what I put out on the stage or in the booth. When performing, you exude a level of confidence like you already know you’re top dawg. What would you say helps you attain that mindset?
Anyone that knows me knows I’m a HUGE spiritualist, so I’m very big on manifestation. If I believe I’m top dawg, and then put that belief into action, I will be the top dawg. At the end of the day, being an artist entails every last aspect, and performance is a major one. That’s where you really get to connect with your audience the most! I think what helps me attain that mindset is my hunger for the game. What are you currently working on?
Right now I’m actually gearing up to release my first major project, Gemini Moon, next month. Going back to being spiritual, my moon
sign is a Gemini. So, I feel like the title speaks for the project itself. It’s emotional, it’s raw, it’s fun, it’s different. I’m so excited for everyone to hear what I spent a good year and quarantine working on! How does it feel to be nominated for an award in regards to your music?
It’s very surreal honestly. I’ve dreamt about doing things like this since I was a kid, so really watching my dreams unfold in front of me means the world to me! To be nominated for my music means people are listening and supporting and that’s the most I could ever ask from everyone! Please list all social media

Go ahead and introduce yourself to the people. I’m an artist out of Fort Myers, and I’m up and coming and recently released from prison. Basically I’m just grinding. Tell me about about your journey since you’ve been home. Since I’ve been out, I have dropped my first mixtape “Lil Pakistan Sickest”, I’ve done 4 videos, and right now I’m working on a project with Creazy. We just dropped a video. I got another album I’m working on right now, and a bunch more singles and more videos. Tell me a little bit about the subject line of your music, for example, your mixtape, what has been the vibe throughout the mixtape? Basically, some songs are more for females, club songs. Other songs, are more like struggle songs, speaking about my life. Just streets, and I talk about being incarcerated in a couple songs. I talk about my lil brother who’s incarcerated, my little brother Dallas. I basically got everywhere with the tape. It wasn’t about one thing, I bounce around on it. Trying to be more versatile, as much as I could. Tell me as an artist, this being the special issue for the Ford Ent Awards, you went away, came back, soon as you came back you took off like wildfire, and then to be nominated. Tell me the meaning of that to you. I was really surprised. I know I put in the hard work, and when I realized I was nominated for 3
different awards, I was surprised. And it meant a lot to me. I was happy about it, and it made me wanna grind harder and motivated me to go harder. Made me realize people were watching. It definitely meant a lot. Coming home and having to balance getting back on track with life and balancing getting your music on back going. Is it an even balance or do you struggle with the two. I definitely struggle with it. Just every day life, taking care of the kids and being a father, and being a positive person out here and setting myself up to win. It’s definitely a struggle trying to transition from doing 12 years to jumping back out here. I want to put my music first because everything. And I’m trying to adapt, period, just being out here. I’m still struggling after being out 10 months, I find myself lacking on the music tip and have to push myself because I get caught up tryna make sure I’m straight. What is the biggest message that you want people to remember Gudda White by? It would be mostly for the youth, be you. You can go to school, and graduate high school and go to college and be anything like a lawyer and still be cool. Don’t get the wrong idea that being a tough and being in the streets is... if you ain’t doing that, that means you’re lame, and that’s not true. It’s a lot of people in prison right now, doing a lot of time, they’ll never come home, wish they was lame out here with their girl, and was able to work a 9-5 and be with their kids. So it’d be for the
youth to make their own decisions and understand that you ain’t got to impress nobody, and focus on school and put God first, its what my message would be. You ain’t got to follow behind people, trying to impress people and be cool, be yourself, go to school and get an education.

Introduce yourself please My name is Naay Moe Jr aka Naay2wice, a musical artist and owner of Broken Baby Apparel. I am originally from Bloomington, IL “The 309” which is where I found my love for music as well as started my brand Broken Baby Apparel. In my career I have made a few big moves such as Opening for Snoop Dogg on the “Puff Puff Pass” tour in September of 2018 with my brother Joey Ali. I also was apart of FOX Empire’s cast in February of 2020. At what moment would you say you decided to be an artist and what influenced that decision Ive always had a love for music, it always seemed to soothe me and give me peace and acted as therapy. When my battle with bipolar depression started in 2014 I had to find new outlets and ways to cope, and thats when I started as a musical artist pouring my heart onto every instrumental. How would you describe your music? My music is authentic, I don’t make music about things I don’t do or a life I’m not from. My goal in every song I make is to have a message that can be felt as a listener. Im pretty versatile when it comes to music,
I can make a party song, an r&b love song, a slower rap and I feel thats a good trait to have to bring in more listeners. What would you say is the hardest part of being an artist? The hardest part about being an artist for me was being a female as well as being in the city I was in. The city I’m from I am more known than supported. People only support their friend groups and if ur not in their friend group then ur not supported. I get most of my support from people I don’t know and people that aren’t from the same place and that is the key reason that I relocated to Florida, ur bound to get more support from people who haven’t known you your whole life. As a young talented artist, do you feel your age plays an advantage or disadvantage in regards to your music? Why or why not? Not really, I feel my age never played a roll. I was 16 performing in 21+ clubs, and 19 on the set of FOX Empire. I feel I’ve created and received the same opportunities as I would if I was 21-25 when I started.
What are you currently working on? Right now Im really focused on my brand relaunch since I just relocated to Fort Myers, Florida. I plan to open my first store and continue to do online sales. Musically, I am working on single after single and networking with artists in the Fort Myers area to build a support system. Apart from music, you’re also a graphic artist. Two separate talents, one you can see, one you can hear and feel. Which of the two worlds do you prefer and why? I have a love for artistry in general whether its drawing , making music, designing clothing. With my music I make my own cover art, with my brand I make my own designs and design my own clothing. I think I can put music at the top because thats the only thing that can’t be done by someone else, nobody can tell my story but me. I can pay people to do my cover arts and design clothing. Exlusive Interview With Its your girl Ladychelle with Ford Ent Magazine and I’m finally at Tattoo Alchemy. When you first walk in, you can already feel the vibe. The family vibe, am I catching it right? Tell us a little bit about yourselves I’m Lizz, I’m more of the cartoonist in the shop. It’s kind of my focus, I like doing all the cartoons and stuff, an apprentice for now, but like Mike, we’re working to get to the next step.
Mike, Mike Dominique, I’m an apprentice, looking to get more developed in the field. And that’s all I can say about me.
I’m Eric Tat’em Mccomas, I’m a generalist, I do a little bit of everything. I always like a challenge, but I like to play around with a little bit of everything. I run this band of misfits, definitely a pleasure, I’ve taught a lot of people, I enjoy teaching as many more as I can, and I hope we can finally get everybody into a position where they can reach those aspirations of being a full blown artist and out of the apprentice ring. I’m Kristen, I’m the piercing apprentice here, and aspiring to do permanent make up.
I’m Patrick. Aka Patty Cakes, Princess Pat Pat, and many other things, I’m a young artist, trying to become a tattoo artist one day. I’m a weird artist, pretty much anything weird catches my eye.
Ladychelle: Eric tell me about running a shop, and you have different personalities and different creative talents. Tell me how do you keep the balance, and how do you make sure everyone is fully developing to the next level. It’s not always easy, it takes a lot of patience. It takes alot of patience on both ends. I’m hard on them sometimes, I try not to be that same ole asshole that a lot of people tend to be when it comes to their
apprenticeships and stuff like that. I try to deal with everybody as an equal, we’re all human beings, we’re all in the world trying to do the same things. I just try to prepare them for, yes it’s rough, customers are going to be rough sometimes, you’re gonna have some hard critics, it’s up to you to sit there and pull forward, and keep pushing through and as long as you can do that, you’ll come out good on the other side.

Bridley Boy
Definitely. I make love songs, and I make something I would say is “beast mode”, crazy bars, that’s self explanatory.
First tell us about your name, who you are, and where you’re from
Born and raised in Ft Myers, Fl. Old projects, by the Stars Complex. Bridley Boy came from when I was younger, every body called my dad and his brothers The Bridley Boys, so it kinda stuck with me my whole life. Once I started rapping when I was about 26, actually making music, I was freestyling from 18 and up, but since I’ve been calling myself Bridley Boy from the age of 18, I stuck with it. Being in the city where you grew up, and coming from a legacy, tell me the meaning of that and how does it affect your music.
I just feel like, first of all, I always wanted my music to be big in my city, first and foremost because I love my city. I want to see my city grow and expand more than it has. As far as my name and legacy, I definitely wanna carry it on as far as I can, worldwide if possible.
This is the special issue for the Ford Ent Awards, for which you were nominated. Tell me about being an artist and being nominated from your city that you’re actually from.
Honestly, it means a lot. I’ve been watching yall for a while, with Ford Ent and me finally being nominated, I always put hard work in, I’ve been doing it for along time and to be nominated, I’m like that’s super dope. And first I didn’t realize I was nominated, but once I realized it, I was like man, this fire, I fuck with it. And does that seals it in for you or does that push you to go even harder? Tell us a little bit about your music style, your flow and the messages you carry through your songs.
I like to talk about my life, for the most part. Good, bad, past, present, relationships. I got a variety of music. I can make any type of music, when I pin point a certain subject I want to speak on, I find the beat for it and speak on it. I don’t limit myself as far as music goes, I can make any type. I can do techno music, it doesn’t matter. ‘m going to ask what a lot of people ask the second they see you...what’s up with the eyes?
(laughs) I don’t know, it’s just with me, I just have a light and darkness, I’m pretty sure every person does and it’s more so, depending on the contacts, some of them could mean my dark side coming out, at that point in time, or me, feeling like an alien. It’s just how I feel that day. Does the different moods and personality play out in the music?
It just push me to go harder, it lets me know that people are starting to really see what I’m doing for the most part, so keep grinding and doing what I’m doing. It’s just letting me know that people notice. If you could describe your music in one word, what word would you want for people to associate with your music?
I guess it would be elevate. Just gotta keep elevating. Even if you feel like this is the best you got, there’s still something better than that. Just gotta keep going. And what’s the key to finding the next level.
Just putting in the work. The more work you put in the more you realize what you’re capable of. Like me, I’m always writing. I would feel like writing a love song one day, and feel like doing this another day, or might feel like writing a country song. But I just like to test my limits. And while you keep testing your limits, you’ll be like I can do that, that’s dope.

Introduce yourself please I was born Amanda Jones April 29th, 1993 in a little town called Rocky Mount, North Carolina. I basically migrated between San Bernardino , California and Washington DC in foster care for about 4 years before finally reuniting with my mom and headed to Fort Myers, Florida with my 5 siblings, which deeply stimulated my view of cultural diversity; where I currently reside with 3 kids ages 8,5, and 1 month old. I’ve been in Fort Myers for 19 years, I would say it’s made me who I am today but I can definitely say it has a partial impact on my character here in Fort Myers. It’s like it’s own little world that is secluded from all the other little cities surrounding the area so I got hipped pretty quick to the culture here. At what moment would you say you decided to be an artist and what influenced that decision So I’ve always wanted to be a rapper right? Since a little kid I grew up on Isley Brothers, Cameo, Frankie Beverly, Tribe Called quest , Eric B. & Rakim, you name it. I would always beat on tables and write little corny lyrics down. My mind was glued to B.E.T 24/7. Growing up my favorite part of B.E.T would definitely be the B.E.T Awards. It was just so amazing to see so many people from so many genres and different eras come together and celebrate each other I used to always say that’s going to be me one day. At about 13, I started rapping with my older brother. We created this janky ass studio inside of our closet. It had the computer, some crappy speakers with cords hanging everywhere lol. We used to download instrumentals from limewire and used a MP3 player to record ourselves. I did that all the way until my senior year of high school where I featured in my first performance ever at the spring talent show at Dunbar High and that was then where everyone noticed she’s really good at this rapping. Well after high school, reality started kicking in. I wanted to go to college so bad but my mom ended up having Stage 4 kidney failure and couldn’t work so I took on the responsibility of helping with what bill I could and also making sure my siblings had
clothes and shoes for school. Fast forward to 2019. The moment that the light finally clicked on that I was finally going to get back to what I love was when I attended an artist showcase. I wanted to grab the mic so bad but I had no content to work with. About a week later, I found a kid in Ellenton, Florida that had a studio. I took that hour and 30 minute drive and recorded my first track “Saucy”. The reaction I got was not expected. I ended up on the radio (Fly 98.5) and quickly became the talk of the town. The same week I dropped ‘Saucy’, I had two shows lined up. It was phenomenal. The feeling was something I had been waiting on, kinda like when I was younger watching B.E.T How would you describe your music? I would describe my music as therapeutic, as in do you want me to help release some of that childhood trauma that you don’t speak of? Well, here you can feel that through this track; or hey you had a long work week? Well dammit, let’s go out and party a little like it’s 1985. Listen to this track or wait a minute, you wanna listen to somthing good for the soul that has nothing to do with being stressed or having to cry? Listen to this track because music should reach all aspects of your moods. The highs, the lows, the crunk, the love or maybe a little trap music here and there. I just solely choose to touch more than one crowd with my music. What would you say is the hardest part of being an artist? The hardest part would be the support cause dammit I can handle the haters it’s nothing like having a show that you announced over a week ago 15 people say they’re coming and only 2 show up those friends can take those same 20 dollars and use it on something else or what about you post something pertaining to your craft and 3 people you don’t know like that will share the hell out of it meanwhile your “ Supporters” will scroll pass your content but share a video a jonesha getting jumped in the projects. Or how about this you have merch for sale ranging from 25-30$ but instead they’ll go spend 125 on a nike outfit to put money in the pockets of a consumer they’ll never get an acknowledgment let alone a “ hi and bye” conversation.
As a working woman, and a mom, what would you say have helped you maintain a balance between your music and your every day life? As a working woman and a mother I’ve always said that’s not going to define the limitations on how I grind to do my music because guess what the best excuse STILL isn’t the best excuse because while pregnant I was still recording music , still shooting videos , also performing so you either make excuses or make time regardless the world doesn’t stop because you weren’t able to put your big girl panties on. What are you currently working on? So currently I am working on a project that I will be releasing soon it’s titled Mitchville it will be hosted by street gorilla which is one of my favorites so it’s only right that I use one of Fort Myers best street promotion groups for my first project ever due them hosting one of fort myers best to do Frank Lini which is my favorite artist from around this way. I’m also working on getting out more merchandise and currently. Getting my video catalog together for my project so please be on the lookout and have every ear to the street possible if not that’s your loss. I’ll see you at the top on the big screen soon! How does it feel to be nominated for an award in regards to your music? It feels amazing to be nominated again for the second year in a row at the Ford ENT awards I attended last year for the first time ever and let me tell you it was a blessing because it expanded my Fanbase I got to perform in front of people that have never seen me perform here in Fort Myers before It also took me back to that childhood memory I am planted in my head of performing at the BET awards just being surrounded by so much black excellent weather I knew of them or just learned about them , also being in the room with other with other people that were voices of Fort Myers not only in the music scene but just small business , black business , or just business in general it was a blessing to be surrounded by all of it This year I was not expecting to be nominated again so it’s Kind of bought severe joy to my heart to know that regardless that I wasn’t putting out or being as active as I was before people still kept me in consideration along with the Ford Ent corporation Facebook: Mitch Jones Instagram: Mitchy_mitch239

And then I’ve been doing music, I would when they do, it be like a vision say since 15, 16, really probably come true, like Deja Vu. Because before that. I started off writing I already know that I’m the shit, poems, and then from poems, I like I’m raw. Everybody supposed elevated to doing music, but I’ll to feel like, they number one at say 16 I really got into it, that’s everything they do. But once you when my ole girl passed over. And know it, it’s like you gotta prove I just really got into it. I started off yourself to other people. And all free styling, I’m known from free- it takes is one person. So if I know styling on other people beats, and this person did, then I know down other beats in general. It’s never the line, a couple more people nothing original, so I just started will. And when they do, it just be from there and I grew to like it. like Deja vue, because I already And I just try to take it as far as I know. What is the point you’re gonsomething new every day, I’m still na get to and say “I’ve made it.” learning the ropes, the pros and Moving on to better things, out the cons. But as of right now, I am from where I reside at, being focused on just music as itself, it’s around people that’s gonna a way to cope too. As I’m going motivate and elevate. Just my through it, I’m writing it all down, surroundings, honestly. Being able like picture painting. mentally, spiritually, financially on another stage. If I make it tomorWith you being so vulnerable in row, I shouldn’t be at the same your music, what is the feedback place I was before. Just a bigger you’ve been getting from the audi- picture really. Bigger screens, bigence? ger billboards, across the nation, More good than bad, honestly. I not just local, global. get a lot of feedback asking why there’s so much pain, and this and that. Introduce yourself real quick I’m G Code Tha Voice. Fort Myers, Fl. Yall can look me up on any platforms. G Code Tha Voice. Big Z. Can’t forget that part. Tell us about adding “Tha Voice” to your name, what is the meaning of it, and why was it necessary to add it to your title? It just means, where I come from, I’m just speaking for my people really. That’s where it really comes from. A lot of us are not here, a lot of us are dead, bless them, a lot of us are deported, Tha Voice, I’m speaking for them, I’m the voice for them. And what is the message? To complete the mission. I’m him, they want me to complete that mission for them. A long time ago, they believed in me. I’m the voice for them. I have to complete the mission. As an artist, and carrying that kind of a mission, how does that translates into your music. It keeps me motivated. Music, you get motivated, day to day, that right there, that type of pressure, I love it. I feel like I was made for that type of shit. That’s motivation, it’s like energy, it never dies, it keeps going and going. I’m blessed, I’m blessed. I can say that. As a Haitian artist, shed some light a little bit on what’s going on in Haiti right now. We still suffering from poverty,
still suffering from people coming over and stealing from us. We’re still suffering from a lot of things. We don’t have nothing still. It’s 2021! We still suffering from everything you can think of. Tell me a little bit more about yourself as an artist. Right now, I just dropped a song on every platform, you can search it on every platform.
