Dugout Welcome along to our final SWPL 1 game of the season. Today we welcome Hibs who are currently in a battle for second place in the league. In our previous game in the SWPL 1 we hosted Spartans in a competitive game which could have went either way but ultimately ended in a draw, a valuable point for us as we secured our status in the league for season 2020. That game presented little in the way of golden opportunities for either side despite the woodwork being hit on numerous occasions. We come into this game full of confidence after securing our place in the league, collecting 4 points out of a possibly 6 and also by keeping two clean sheets in the past two games. The fact we are now keeping clean sheets will be of great importance today as everyone in the country knows how good this Hibs side are going forward. In addition to that, we endured an embarrassing defeat last month in the reverse fixture in Edinburgh and we are all desperate to put in a strong performance which we are well capable of. Finally, I would like to thank all of the club’s sponsors for their continued support throughout the season and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2020. Enjoy The Match!
captain’s column Good afternoon and welcome to station park glad to be at home for our final game of the season against Hibs Ladies. We made it difficult for ourselves this season but we dug deep and happy to say we have secured our place in SWPL1 for next season. We will welcome the break and we will regroup and come back fresh hoping to have a great pre season and will be ready for next year as the league is getting stronger so we will need to have the correct mind set and be ready for the challenge ahead. It’s still a very important game today as we want to finish the league campaign happy with our performance we know today’s opponents are a very talented bunch and they want to secure second place in the league. Today’s game will be a challenging one but we have been working hard in training all week and we are prepared for today’s opponents. Would like to take this opportunity to thank all coaches and staff at the club for the hard work they have put in over the season also a big thank you to all sponsors that is very much appreciated by all. Also a great big thank you for your support over the season, we hope you enjoy today’s game.
Thanks Nicola

Congratulations‌ Congratulations to Donna Paterson, nominated Scottish Building Society SWPL October Player of the Month, great news to end the season Fiona McNicoll nominated for The Nemeton TV Save of the Season at the MG ALBA Scottish Women’s Football Annual Awards Dinner 2019!
Kayleigh Brough We caught up with Kayleigh last week ahead of her return to the bench… Q. We are delighted that you are on your way back from injury now Kayleigh. We know you were struggling for a while before you had the op. Can you tell the fans what the problem was and what you’ve had done? A. Kayleigh - Thank you very much. In 2014 playing against Inverness, I tore the labrum in my right hip, which is the cartilage surrounding the hip socket joint. Before getting the op I was struggling to follow through while kicking the ball with any pace, I was struggling to run with a normal technique and over all just made playing any game extremely difficult to play in. The surgeon fixed this by keyhole surgery into the hip with 5 stitches keeping the cartilage together.
Q. How long is that you’ve been out and how’s the rehab coming along? A. Kayleigh - It has been just over 4 months since the op and I have been doing rehab since. Rehab has been okay, some weeks are better than others as I was struggling to lift my leg up without momentum behind it, however this is slowly repairing. I am looking forward to getting back into training with the girls. Q. It’s been a difficult season for the team. How frustrating has it been for you not being able to help your team mates? A. Kayleigh - Yeah it has been very difficult and frustrating not being able to help my team mates but they have pushed through many tough situations and many tough games managing to secure SWPL1 football for next season, I struggled to watch the majority of the games that I missed because it was so frustrating. Q. With our SWPL1 place now confirmed for next season, you’ll be looking forward to preseason! What are the timescales for getting back into full training and game time? A. Kayleigh - I’m proud of all the team including coaching staff for maintaining the SWPL1 spot and most importantly looking forward to the start of preseason where I hope by that time, I will be fit enough for contact training and hopefully getting game time by the start of the season.
