dugout Today we host Stirling University in our first game back in the SWPL 1 after a prolonged break due to the Women’s World Cup. Today will also mark my first competitive game as manager since taking charge last week and I’m full of optimism and excitement ahead of the remainder of the season. The players have been tremendous with me throughout my time at the club, and this has continued through the early stages of me being in this role so I cannot be more thankful to them. Last week we played our final midseason fixture against Cove Rangers where we achieved a good result as well as an excellent team performance which set us up well for an excellent week of training ahead of this match. This positivity is something I am hopeful will transition into today’s game as we are all under no illusions of the importance of this match. Stirling University are a side who are like us in the sense that they have endured a tough first half of the season, however they do possess real strengths and qualities which can punish us should we not be careful. The previous match against Stirling University was one which we felt we should have won, with today being the perfect opportunity for us all to ensure we get full points this time round. We are all very excited to get back to competitive action this afternoon and appreciate all the support you give us! Enjoy the Game!
