STUDIO ARCHEA Laura Andreini, Marco Casamonti e Giovanni Polazzi são arquitetos formados pela Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Florença. Em 1988, em Florença, eles fundaram Studio Archea, agregados pela arquiteta Silvia Fabi em 1999. Além de seus trabalhos no princípio de projeto arquitetônico em projetos de todas as escalas, a partir do objeto para a construção do plano urbano, cada sócio do estúdio também está envolvido no ensino intensivo e trabalhos de investigação na disciplina de projeto arquitetônico nas faculdades de arquitetura em toda a Itália. Ao longo dos anos, essas atividades têm sido apoiadas por críticos estudiosos e escritores de arquitetura, publicadas em ensaios e artigos, livros e revistas na Itália e no estrangeiro, bem como na organização e produção de exposições, eventos e oficinas relacionadas com a concepção. Desde 1997, Marco Casamonti desenvolve a função de diretor da revista de arquitetura internacional “Area”; desde 1999, co-editor com Paolo Portoghesi da revista “Materia”; também desde 1999, editor técnico da a seção de arquitetura da Motta Architettura de Il Gruppo Sole 24 ORE; e 2006-2008, ele foi diretor técnico da fundação “Annali dell’Architettura e delle città, Napoli”.
O estúdio desenvolveu numerosos projetos de arquitetura, que foram publicados em livros e revistas internacionais (incluindo: “Abitare”, “Casabella”, “Domus”, “l’Arca”, “In Italia”, “A&V”, “Disegno Interior“, ”AIT“, ”Detalhes“, ”a+u”) e foram convidados para importantes exposições de arquitetura. Em 1996, com seu projeto para um centro de entretenimento em Curno, o estúdio foi convidado a participar da seção italiana da Exposição Internacional de Arquitetura da 6ª Bienal de Veneza. Em 2002, com a Casa Leffe, foi escolhido para exposição internacional como arquitetura de pedra e uma exposição de arquitetura italiana em Tóquio, chamada “Do Futurismo a um futuro possível”. Em 2010, seu projeto para uma biblioteca de Nembro foi escolhido para o “Ailati” exposição Pavilhão Italiano na Exposição Internacional de Arquitetura da 12ª Bienal de Veneza. O Studio Archea tem participado dos principais concursos de arquitetura nacionais e internacionais, consultas, ganhando muito reconhecimento e muitos prêmios. Em 1998, o estúdio ganhou a concorrência para um centro administrativo e comercial em Calenzano, Florença. Em 1999, conquistou o terceiro lugar para a nova Faculdade de Arquitetura situado em Veneza. Laura Andreini, Marco Casamonti and Giovanni Polazzi are architects who graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence. In 1988, in Florence, they founded Studio Archea, joined by Silvia Fabi in 1999. In addition to their principle work in architectural design on projects on every scale, from the object to the building to the urban plan, each studio associate is also involved in intensive teaching and research work in the discipline of architectural design in faculties of architecture throughout Italy. Over the years, these pursuits have been supported by in-depth critical study and writing on architectural issues, seen in essays and articles published in books and magazines in Italy and abroad, as well as in the organization and production of exhibitions, events and workshops related to design. Since 1997, Marco Casamonti has been editor-in-chief of the international architecture magazine “Area”; since 1999, he has been co-editor with Paolo Portoghesi of the magazine “Materia”; also since 1999, he has been technical editor of the architecture section of Motta Architettura of Il Sole 24 ORE Group; and from 2006 to 2008, he was technical director of the “Annali dell’Architettura
e delle città, Napoli” foundation. The studio has designed numerous architectural projects, which have been published in books and major international magazines (including “Abitare”, “Casabella”, “Domus”, “l’Arca”, “In Italia”, “A&V”, “Disegno Interior”, “AIT”, “Detail”, “a+u”) and have been chosen for major architecture exhibitions. In 1996, with its design for an entertainment center in Curno, the studio was invited to participate in the Italian section of the 6th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale; in 2002, with the Leffe House, it was chosen for the international stone architecture exhibition and an Italian architecture exhibition in Tokyo called “From Futurism to a Possible Future”; and in 2010, its design for a library in Nembro was chosen for the “Ailati” Italian Pavilion exhibition at the 12th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale. Studio Archea has participated in major national and international architecture competitions and consultations, earning much recognition and many awards. In 1998, the studio won the competition for an administrative and commercial center in Calenzano, Florence; in 1999, it won third place for the new Faculty of Architecture location in Venice; in 2000, second place for the Italian Space Agency’s
