STRUCTURE The nose and mid-body of the bodywork of the FMX3 is ready and the pattern for the side panels is under manufacturing.
VEHICLE DYNAMICS New lightweight inserts have been designed for the season 2014 car. An in-house brake pedal has been manufactured for preliminary testing. The CAD model of the steering assembly of the car has also been completed. The custom brake disc was coarse buffed and tested successfully on the FMX3.
ENGINE The team is working on the design of the engine jig for the season 2014 car along with its exhaust system. The FMX3 is undergoing engine tuning in Bangalore.
TRANSMISSION The CAD model of the pneumatic assembly has been completed for the season 2014 car. Alterations were made to the new solid half shafts and they were heat treated in-house through the austempering process. Furthermore, aluminum billets were sent for manufacturing of the sprockets.
ELECTRONICS The team plans to manufacture an in-house PCB for the season 2014 car and is currently working on analysis techniques of data acquired during the testing of the FMX3. The team is trying to put the entire electronic mount on a single PCB.

WHAT’S NEXT ? After the end semesters, the team has enthusiastically started working hard to recoup for the lost time. The team is looking forward to receiving the bodywork of the car by next month, after which extensive testing on the FMX3 will be resumed. With only about a month left for testing, the team has intensified its efforts. The team is also looking forward to the official launch of the FMX3 in near future. Furthermore, the team is working on the design of the 2014 car, which it hopes to complete soon and move on to the manufacturing phase.
