When you start at the Niblock Center for Intentional Living, you can go anywhere. The Center will foster leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship as well as enhance skills of emerging importance to a life of impact and intentionality: self-awareness, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, and creating a strong sense of purpose. Programs will include:

Entrepreneurship

Guided by seasoned teachers and an advisory board of successful local and national entrepreneurs and business leaders who serve as mentors and guest speakers, students will study how entrepreneurs think and how our country’s systems support entrepreneurial success. Through the creation of their own real-world companies, they will learn problemsolving, risk-taking, communication, and teamwork as they fail, learn, and fail again on the road to success

Learning to Lead

To lead others, you must first lead yourself Students will develop self-awareness as they learn about themselves and their individual leadership styles and how to leverage that style best for success in school and in life. Guest speakers from the advisory board will provide insight into practical leadership, and students will be required to create and pursue handson leadership opportunities on campus and off

Personal Awareness and Wellness

Who are you when no one is looking? What are your strengths and what drives you? How do you take care of yourself so that you can function at an optimal level? Students will learn, through measurements and self-reflection, to identify what makes them tick and how to enhance what they are good at and shore up areas where they need to improve They’ll learn about how to develop and stack healthy personal habits in order to nurture themselves, manage stress, and be their best selves.
