Choosing child care is one of the most important decisions a parent makes for their children. Child care should fit a parent’s idea about parenting and learning, as well as their child care needs.
As each child learns at their own pace, Family Child Care providers offer a program that includes activities to support each child’s development and social skills. A daily schedule
The Family Child Care program at Ft. Belvoir (FCC) offers a safe home like environment, professionally trained providers, nutritious meals and snacks, smaller ratios, Creative Curriculum Standards of Learning and multiple child care options that meet regular and mission readiness child care requirements. FCC homes on and off post comply with Army regulations (AR 608-10) in reference to adult to child ratios, the USDA Food Program nutritional requirements and training guidelines.

Eligibility Requirements for CYS Services Programs Open to current DOD Personnel- active duty, retirees (Sports & Youth Activities) and DOD civilians. Fort Belvoir CYS Services fees are on a sliding scale based on income. Multiple child discounts and 2 weeks vacation credit per year are also given. CYS Services Youth Sports program is looking for volunteers to help as Sports Coaches, Assistant Coaches, as well as general volunteers that could assist with concessions, time clock, score keeping, etc. Please call the Youth Sports Office for more details at (703)8059138/9139/1257.
