Barton Community College
Barton Community College’s proud association with Fort Riley and the U.S. Army began in 1984 with a single training contract and has continued to grow in support of the Army, its Soldiers, their families and the Junction City community. The Barton Community College Fort Riley campus provides education and training, as well as selected specialized education and training to the entire state. The school has been a strong supporter of Fort Riley Family and MWR for many years; you might have seen Barton Community College supporting Run for the Fallen, or taking part in Fall Apple Day Festival. “Our troops satisfy one of the biggest pieces of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs: safety. We support the Soldiers of the Big Red One and our military in general because it is thanks to them and their willingness to give it all that Americans have the freedom and security to pursue higher education and personal growth. We are sincerely and deeply grateful for their sacrifices,” said Brandon Steinert, Barton Community College’s director of public relations.
