The Chopard “Happy Diamonds” series has been a pillar on which modern Chopard was built on. The watch was designed by Ronald Kurowski in 1976. Far and away their most popular timepiece, owners love the free moving bezel-set diamonds sandwiched between the caseback and crystal. The present example is a first generation model, from the late 1970s. Sized at 32 mm square, it has that modern oversized feel. The bracelet is long, at 7-1/2 inches. Accompanied by Chopard box, warranty and letter from Chopard noting the manufacturing date of this watch.

Rolex watches are known for their quality, attention to detail and lasting value. The vintage semi-bubble and big bubbleback watches from the 1950s are collector classics that have been drawn upward in value. The classic Oyster case as we know it was being developed with these watches. They have a certain full 1950s curved elegance to them. The present example has an extremely unusual bezel that has a prismatic texture. This bezel appears to have been on the watch since new. The condition on this watch is impeccable and appears to be unpolished, with original brushing on the case to go with the mint original dial. OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Mark III Ref. 176.002 in Stainless Steel Circa: 1972

prominence as the Moon Watch, Omega spent the 1970s trying to do one better. The Mark III, introduced in 1972, traded the manual wind movement for The Lemania-sourced 1341, renamed the 1040 at Omega. They were the first automatic chronographs from Lemania and they offer a centralized minute counter with a funky airplane-shaped tip on the counter hand. The case was made new for the 70s too. Gone was the vintage twisted lug and in its place was an impressive volcano-shaped case that would define Omega’s Pilot Line. The present example has the blue dial, which is the most sought after by collectors, as well as the original bracelet.
